So I downloaded Google voice and didn't like it due to the pressing 1 or 2 to answer a phone call.
I then uninstalled the app from my phone and still getting the prompt to press 1 or 2. How do I get rid of that.?.

Well, you have to unlink Google Voice from your Sprint number, however, if that's why you don't like it you can just go into Google Voice account settings from your PC and disable call screening, as well as text and email notifications. If you're looking for just a visual voicemail, then setup Google Voice without integrating your Sprint number.

Hey guys. I'm currently using a gnex running cm10 euroskank nightlies. I have searched the forums and Google but alas no results.
Even with Youmail set to delete messages after one day, and even if I delete a voicemail in the app, I'm still having trouble. For instance if I shuffle all songs in Apollo, voice mails that are old and were deleted just start playing!
This was quite embarrassing with friends in the car... I ran into a gas station and one friend got to hear some pretty nasty things said by the other... Which turned into a physical fight and the police being involved.... Haha all because of you mail!
I feel like it was the makings for one of those directv commercials....

Wow that stinks. its more of an issue with the youmail app. My friend just switched to android and is having issues with the youmail app, but sync issues instead. It seems like this app is poor and needs work.
Bump

Why not just use Google voice

I cannot configure it with my Verizon number.

Call them up and tell the to turn off you vm and then set your phone to forward to your gv number.

Thank you for the reply!
Wait. So I *72 to my gv #? Because if I'm doing that then why would I need to call vzw to disable their voice mail?

So I tried to see what google voice does exactly and I seen its not necessary for me so I uninstalled it but noticed that its settings are still on. So I reinstalled it and went in the settings and signed out which was supposed to take it off completely but its still there. When I get a phone call and answer I always have to press "1" to answer. And I get txts and e mails of my voice mails which I don't like. How can I get rid of this completelyyy?

this is normal.. you have to login to GV in a web browser and change the settings.

Didn't actually work. Still have to press 1 when I answer a call.

You have to change call screening options.

guess i should have been a little more specific..
When I install Google voice and get to the part where it asks to use Google voice fit voicemail and select it, but there is no next button to continue. It says that I am using Google voice in the call settings, but all voicemails go to T-Mobile's voicemail.

Skip that part and move next.
Once setup is finished you can get the codes from Google voice webpage to use in the dialer to change voice mail settings.

How do I change the settings for that? Because when I try to change the voicemail number, it only allows me to choose either "voicemail" or "Google voice", it does not allow me to enter a number.

I had the same problem and I went into the call forwarding settings and changed the number there to my google voice number. seems to work now.
Call forwarding is blocked from me getting access to it.

This same topic was covered a couple of weeks ago so search, I'm too lazy to do it for you. The solution was to set it up online through a browser.
Got it, thanks! Here is the link to it incase someone else has the issue

Yeah, iirc the online fix just sets up call forwarding to your Google voice number.

I don't know if this is specific to the Note 2. But I recently got google voice on it and set up my new number. But I can't receive or send texts through the Voice app.
Does work for me.

Sounds like your voice mail settings are not set to redirect missed calls to Google voice . Go through the process to set up Google voice again.

Yup, try that! it might work, it might not!
Find the exact dial code needed to re direct your voice mail and dial it in your dialer.
