Allshare apk - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I'm looking for the allshare apk for the GS3. Anyone have it?

It can be found on the page for KyanRom. It's on his website under KyanAppend.

It's a CWM flashable zip, worked perfect for me.

I modified the link.
All I can say is that it worked perfect for me and it doesn't die constantly, so unfortunately I don't have any thoughts on what is causing that for you. Especially when you don't provide any details about your phone.
There are things you can try like fixing permissions or clearing the apps cache or data. There is always a chance that it just doesn't play nice with whatever ROM or Kernel you are using.

Cricket Huawei Ascend M860 Nandroid backup?

So, as of yesterday i am completely new to android, though a big tech head.
my typical approach tends to be break it now, and figure out how to fix it.. then if it breaks again you know what to do. haha..
i'm looking for a backup, i uninstalled google talk and of course had the associated problems with doing that, and am unable to repair it without another image.
Other Suggestions?
I tried all of the Clockwork mods available for similar devices and none work :-/ bad thing is, if it doesnt work I have to pull my battery out, meaning I have to take this damn two piece case off! Help us peeps of genius! Thanks
I am also looking for the ROM, as I deleted the Talk as well. I reinstalled Talk, but the Market still does not work. If anyone can help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated.
I think that I have found the ROM at:
Code:
huaweidevice.com/worldwide/downloadCenter.do?method=downloadFile&flay=software&fileName=37043&attachmentName=M860V100R001C153B251SP03.zip
EDIT: It is a very slow download!
EDIT 2: I have installed this and can confirm that it does work!
Ok so we download this but what can we do after we install this? This is just the recovery image right?

I have uploaded this and both informational files to my site. You guys may view then at:
Code:
muh****.com/downloads/
They have images with step by step instructions. I will not be hosting these files long, maybe a few weeks, as it will kill my bandwidth.
Oh, yes, it is only the factory image/rom/firmware. I was only doing this for the people that have messed up their phones and are needing to restore to the current factory settings. This is not the same as the phones restore, as that does not replace system files, but this does.
Thank you Xerxes
I'm just gonna download it just incase i mess up my phone in the future.

So does anyone have a ROM cooked up for this one yet? Or a reliable method to Root it? It is driving me bonkers that it constantly launches the crapware that came preloaded on it. It need to be cleaned, the bloat slows it to a painful speed...
Anyone? Why would it auto launch Uno? Help!

I have rooted mine twice without any issues, other than I deleted Google Talk the first time, using SuperOneClickv1.5.4-ShortFuse.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682
EDIT: Also I bought SystemApp Remover, to remove Uno, midnight bowling and a few other things. It works great, once you are rooted. You have to hit the uninstall twice on some apps.
system app remover
if it says just uninstalls and not deletes... whats tha difference. also has anyone found a way to increase volume hrough headset/ I am rooted through z4root. also had no luck in installing clockwork mod recovery..
Uninstall means it removes it, and not just deleting the program. So it removes the settings that calls for it to run, and not just delete the program an leave the settings.
crickethuawei ascend m860
I an in need of the sim lock pin #num. And how do i set up VPN-name,server,certain.&domain.
thanks for the dl link king. Might need this soon as I am new to rooting and screwing with stuff.

Skype not installing

When I try to install Skype from the Market, it fails. The error message states that there is insufficient storage available. Other apps install fine though. Does anyone have any ideas?
Wipe your cache, uninstall a couple of apps that you are not using now ( possibly a big ones like 2 or 6MB), and install Skype.
Eventually you can try to reinstall the apps that you have removed previously.
You might not want to install skype at all:
It was flagged as a rogue app.

You might want to use root explorer to make sure all components are deleted before trying to reinstall. Had same message with ebay update.

[Q] Can't install SOME non market apks

I have the option checked to install non market apps, but if I download wifi tether, for instance, from the dev's website, my phone will not even let me click on "install," though I can hit "cancel." I've tried this with a free other apks, such a Swype, volume+, etc. Some allow me to hit install and some do not.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? Btw, rooted gnex, stock 4.0.2, vzw.

First, I want to thank you for posting your question in the appropriate place. By chance, are you running JuiceDefender? If so, there is a bug that sometimes does not allow a user to install non-market applications without a workaround (you will find it in settings when configuring JuiceDefender). If you're not running JuiceDefender, then I am not sure, sorry .
bennettm89 said:

I'm not. And since my original post, while my phone was laying on the couch, something changed and now I'm able to install those apks I've downloaded. Someone at AndroidForums suggested I side-load apks from my computer, but my only means of wifi is from my phone and wifi-tether was one of those apks that wouldn't install, until just an hour ago. I've had this issue rooted, unrooted, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, and it seems to come and go.
It seems no one else is posting about it anywhere that I can find, so if nothing else I wanted others to know that it is happening.

To see the thanks button you must NOT be on the classical theme of the forum. You can change that in UserCP.
if you have the screen filter app, disable it before installing the app....this did it for me. hope this helps

TMobile Caller ID or Name ID .apk

I am looking for the Tmobile Note 2 Caller ID or Name ID .apk does anyone have it and can post it.
I did a Titanium back up and the folder got put in the internal memory. Did a full wipe to flash ROM and lost the back up .
Lesson learned.
So now I move the Titanium back up to Ext. Storage, flash and then move it back to internal when I need a back up
restored.
But I searched and can't still find the Caller ID apk.
Thanks in advance.
In the OP here (well, post 4 I think) is a zip with all the UVALL4 deodexed system apps - hope that helps!
Thanks :good:.
Downloading now and I will post back if this works.
Downloaded the list of .apks and I did not see the Caller ID or NAme ID .apk.
Anyone else that can help on this?

Isn't it ECID-release_TMO.apk?
Why not try TrueCaller from Play Store ? It's very good and it's free.

Thank you very much gang.
I was able to download both .zip and .apk files for the Caller ID Tmobile app.
The zip file I tried to install it from recovery, the installation failed.
The apk file I tried installing it from ES File Explorer, it also did fail installation.
Looks like there is something not allowing the app from installing.
The reason I wanted it back on my devise is I pay 3.99 a month extra to Tmobile for the service.
The caller ID will not work without this file
I will call and cancel the feature.
While totally your call - before cancelling, what was the installation error? I could upload a flashable zip for you with that apk if you would like.

When I get home I will try to install again and post a screen shot here.
If you could upload the .zip, I can try to flash that one and check back in.

Thank you for sharing the file.
It flashed successfully this time from recovery with your .zip file, but after reboot the app does not show up on the phone.
I tried for someone to call me from an unknown phone and I do not get their ID.
Will try to ask someone later for them to call me and see if it works to double check.

Hmm... ok let me know. There very well may be other things needed for it - I am unsure as I have never used it before, I just remember reading somewhere that was the apk responsible for such things. Apologies on thinking that was all you needed!

Your file works perfect.
It will be useful for everyone who needs it.
I found out that the TMobile caller ID .apk does not work on Android 4.1.2.
I flashed a stock based ROM and your file installed on showed up on the phone. :good:
So now we know why it did not work on my phone as I am using Jedi Android 4.1.2 ROM from
International Port.
I re-flashed the 4.1.2 ROM as I like it better. Sad thing is no Tmobile Caller ID APP for me, :crying:.
Thank you so much.
I know it will help others and now we know where it works and where it does not.
Has anyone found a solution for this? I need the T-Mobile Name ID app as well since I am running SlimBean.
There is an app in the market that works much better the TMobiles name ID it's called privacy star it's cheaper per month and you can also get one year for only a one time payment of 19.99 I got the one year for only 19.99 it's much cheaper then name ID and it is much better it brings up all names that call you even ones name ID did not show.

Chrome has stopped working on my S III after I rooted and flashed CyanogenMod 10.0.0

It opens up but will not load pages fully. Please help, if you need more information please ask. I like Chrome and don't want to switch. I've un-installed and re-installed Chrome a few times but it didn't work.
Try going into recovery and fixing permissions
Before doing that though, try clearing cache. Maybe even try one version back from the one you're on now

I went into ROM Manager and fixed permissions, I don't feel safe going into recovery and trying anything without specific instructions.
I also cleared the cache, but neither worked. Are older versions available in the play store?
Not through the play store...you could search for it online and sideload the apk
Do you know if chrome was updated recently? Because that may be the issue if it was

So you think that Google threw in a check to see if their ads are blocked in the hosts file, then disabled all browsing until you fix your hosts file? It seems to be going a bit far, in my opinion, and will just drive customers to use other phone browsers.
