Kies! and CyanogenMod 9 RC1 - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

I can't use (samsung) Kies! and CyanogenMod 9 RC1?
I'd like to synchronise my adresbook, agenda etc. again with the use of Kies! but I can't get a connection with my GiO with CyanogenMod 9 RC1 installed, do I need to change a setting or can't this be done at this moment?
I hope someone can help me out and with kind regard, Tim.

CM9 is not official for Gio, so Kies doesn't support it

Strange!
Samsung has a "kies" user too

Kies work only with stock roms.
I suggest AirDroid

hehehe, yeah I use(d) it for sync, it worked okay so never looked for something else.
Question: AirDroid can import my kies backups too? I'll give it a go, thx for the tip...
=> no agenda support at all so it seems? (I'd like to import my agenda backup) Or am I missing something?
Is there a solution to import the (kies) calender .ssc file in android or perhaps convert is first?

Voice Recorder & Polaris Office

Morning all.
Trying and failing to install these apks on my device running krinyo's SlimROM.
Got the apks from here:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0Ag43oj7rLQP4dENZcmhGN0ZUa3pHSENVeXlqUm5vV0E&single=true&gid=0&output=html
- pushing with Root Explorer, but getting "application not installed" messages.
As always thanks for any help.

No offence, but this doesn't smell right.
As said, I've never heard of it
You've spelled it differently both times
You've not said anything about its origin, given no source and no link except a download site I've also never seen before
So give me a good reason why I should install this mysterious software on my phone.

Any way to get S-calender apk from original Samsung Rom?

Just as the title asks.... I've read very little online about this. The stuff I have read was dated back in August. Can anyone suggest where to find an apk?
Thanks much!

If you're talking about getting the S-Calendar.apk file onto a non-stock ROM (Touchwiz) then no it can't be done. Reason being is that the app is embeded with Samsung/Touchwiz framework.
If you're on stock Rom and it was debloated and the dev removed all the S-apps then try searching there or doing a google search for it.

If you are going to stick with an AOSP rom, my suggestion is to use Business Calendar (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mikado.bizcalpro&hl=en) as I found that to be the best alternative to Samsung's Calendar when I occasionally try out an AOSP rom. Nevertheless, I'm using DrewGaren's JellyBean rom (leaked Samsung).

I assume the consecuences, but it worked. Thank you so much. Finally I found a working TW for CM10.
I have a question, this is working for
Just Ace 2? Or any CM10 device.

And you know where do I find TouchWiz 4 which came on GB 2.3.6 that I could use con CM10?

The guys at the beginning started to keep a list of devices on which it works.
But, as I understand it, there are new versions and the list does not become relevant.

Ok, I did a clean install using Philz recovery. After I set up the WiFi, I never got the part where I enter my google account. I got the part where I check the middle box, then click no at bottom, I got asked about the Samsung account, which I skipped, and then desktop came up. Never even got the previous used device.
I never ran into a rom that didn't have me sign into Google and show the device that was last used and a list of apps to restore before, so this is new to me.
I found a way to enter my Google account, and now have to manually find the aps I had before, but so far this looks great. Just not used to installing this way.
Hi,
Thanks for the new rom and good luck
Cheers!

I know that you are not asked to set up your Google account on first boot.. I think that is better in this way because when a Google account is set up on boot, happens that apps that I haven't used for a long time are restored on my device and then I have to uninstall them manually.. Got it? I think that the same is for you.. With the latest Play Store you can make a list of apps and you can install all them at the same time

Did you check the md5 of the file before flashing? It could be a bad download if it doesn't boot
