"Preference Stub Temporary placeholder until functionality merged" - HTC One X

Hi everyone, I'm new to CM9, and after successfully got CM9 up and running I have noticed that when I access the themes and lockscreen option in the interface section of settings, it just just says "Preference Stub Temporary placeholder until functionality merged". How do I gain functionality to this?
Thanks.

[MOD REQUEST] How to manually hide apps by editing the APK file

Hello.
What I want to try and do is make a system .apk files invisible (in other words, they don't so up in the applications drawer).
Its for the TSM Parts Mod I'm running (which had the apps already hidden), however I want to update the Semaphore Manager plus include Voodoo Control (I've already got TSM Parts launching it).
Could somebody please tell me how its done?
Thanks in advance.
You'll have to edit AndroidMenifest.xml.

Can you tell me a little bit more, like what settings to change?

[Q] How to start an app when the system loads?

Hi,
I'm a new one here. I wonder if anyone can answer my question. I just got my phone rooted and installed a custom rom that I made through Android Kitchen. I'm now trying to add an app and make it start whevener the Android system starts.
Thanks in advance!

You can use init.d script if your rom supports init.d. If not there are several apps on the market such as autostart root, tasker, llama, and probably others.

custom rom dnla/file sharing support

I do not have enough posts yet to ask this on the development forum( you need 10). I am using a custom rom for the first time (jellybeast) and all the options under the "nearby devices" in the wireless other settings area are greyed out and cannot be accessed at all. does this mean that the rom does not support dnla that the stock jelly bean has? If I want to continue with that rom will I have to install a separate media server to get dnla file sharing to work? thanks.
Actually, this section (Q&A) is the correct place to post your question about ROMs and DLNA. The dev forum is only for sharing work that you have created, it's not for questions.
Anyway, do you have a media server already setup on your network that you are trying to access?

When I was using an unrooted stock 4.1.2 rom I was able to play a video on the stock jelly bean video player and tap a onscreen share icon to have it play on our main "smart" hdtv. now that I am using a custom rom (jellybeast) that option is no longer there. so I thought it was related to the media share settings being greyed out (settings/wireless settings/more settings/nearby devices)..there is an option to check the box for file sharing. that whole section is greyed and I was wondering the reason why is because the rom is debloated and maybe there was a stock system app omitted from the custom rom that allowed media file sharing, and will have to install separate android media server app to allow this.

Just saw in development section there was an update to jellybeast to v3.0 that now includes "allshare" so will give that a try.

[Q] status and multi-user not working

When I try to open Settings>About tablet>Status, I get a popup telling me that Settings has crashed. Also, I can create a new user, but when I try to set it up, it instantly soft-reboots and does not allow me to use or set up the new account. Has anyone ever had/seen this problem? Help would be much appreciated!
Info: I am running stock rooted JSS15R that I got from here*. I am also using the Xposed Framework with the "MoDaCo Toolkit," "GravityBox," "Play Store links in App info" and "Hotword From Results" modules.
*New user, cannot post links. The ROM is from scottsroms.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=457

[CLOSED] [Q] Disable multi-user support

Hi, does anybody know if there's a setting in CM10.1 which would disable multi-user support.
I don't need multi-user and want to get rid of regular exceptions E/KeyguardHostView: can't find user_selector in layout.
A: setprop fw.max_users 1 add to build.prop "fw.max_users=1", reboot - seems to work just fine: multi-user gone together with annoying "can't find user_selector in layout" exceptions on every phone lock.
