Does anyone know of a solution where I can plug my phone in, play music on the car stereo and then make/take calls?
Would be nice if it was all integrated - i.e. that the stereo would pause or so when I'm on the phone, and the phone goes through the stereo speakers etc.
Need to get a new stereo anyway, so need the whole lot!
Cheers,
Ferg.
This is not a new stereo but works perfect for me. look up the Motorola t505. It is bluetooth handsfree and transmits wirelessly to your car stereo with built in fm transmitter. very strong fm transmitter. Music streamed to car stereo will paus when you make or get a call and the call even comes through the car stereo. Battery is very good too. Google it
That looks quite a decent solution, thanks hotrod.
I'm a little suspicious of BT though generally, not least because of my succession of HTC devices. I wonder if there's anything that just plugs in using old fashioned wires.
Well I am using the t505 with my HTC Touch Elf and it is the best thing that I have used in my car for transmitting music, since my factory stereo doesn't have aux in jack. I have tried using a regular fm transmitter directly from the phone but you get way too much distortion and feedback and radio interferance that way. I aslo do not have a tape deck in my car so that option wasn't available. For me I had to decide - Get a new car stereo with Aux Jack in or Built in Bluetooth, get the Parrot Bluetooth ( has to be professionally installed) or the T505. The cheapest was the T505 for me and it works better for me than I had ever hoped.
I have an Evo and a stock car stereo ('08 f150). How can I play music and stream Pandora from the Evo through the car stereo wirelessly? Is there a product I can buy to hook up to the car stereo? Bluetooth?
Thanks
buy an fm transmitter. it plugs into the headphone jack and transmits to a freq on your radio.
Some models of that year had it, but if it has a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can switch your radio to aux and then plug in to the evo and play that way. Or buy a cassette player adapter with the headphone jack and do the same thing, if you have a cassette player.
You can do what others have stated and or you can buy a bluetooth car stereo and sync your EVO to it.

Any of the ways the other guys said will work great, especially like teh roxx said, if your stereo has a 3.5mm input auxillary port. Thats the easiest. Here is a link to a product that i heard works well, but haven't tried it. I was planning on buying it for my company work van, but then I got laid off, (damnit!), so have no more work van! I am curious about this product though, it looks decent.

I am looking at a set of some small speakers (for my tablet) that plug in via the audio jack. So I am looking for a bluetooth reciever that would work by just plugging in the speakers with the audio jack.
Any suggestions?
You could try the Nokia BH-214. Take out the headphones and plug them to any speakers.....instant wireless audio.
So is it just like a wireless bluetooth control?
EDIT: I just found some videos and yes it pretty much is. Thanks looks like just what I was looking for.
SECOND EDIT: On second thought I can't seem to find a seller of this that would send to canada. Any other suggestions?
Being a xda noob I can't post direct links yet but if you google Zoom Wireless Bluetooth Receiver Model 4360 I can confirm that these work great with my Tab and Nexus One.
Take a look at this article on the bluetooth web site.
Are there any car radio adapters for the galaxy nexus? It is for a cassette player. I haven't come across much in my searches.
Thanks in advance!
If you're thinking about something like this then you should know that they are not phone/player specific. Anyone would just work.
maybe you should change the cassete player with a cd/dvd player on your car
I usually listen to my XM app connected to the aux in of my car stereo connected to the head phone jack of my Note2. Is this the best way to do so or does some one have a better way?
I thought about getting a car stereo with bluetooth and trying that,,,,,,
thanks
