This is really frustrating me. I am running AOKP milestone 6 and I wanted to update my instagram to the new version today but I couldnt because playstore says its incompatibile with my device? So tired using market enabler and I still cant get it to download. I even uninstalled and restarted the device. ANY HELP would greatly be appreciated.

You need to be on stock DPI for most app downloads to work.

Okay so i am on the All star rom 4.1.2 based off the nexus 4.. When i take a picture with instagram it does not load on the app until you upload it. like i cant view it before posting it, so when i change the filters i cant see the difference. i heard you can fix this in the build.prop area. Anyone would like to help me out? Thanks.
I know some people have cleared data in app section then uninstalled then downloaded again and it works.

Go to developer options and check to disable HW overlays. I had the same issue and found that solution online somewhere and it worked for me.

Life saver, thanks a lot!
FYI, you'll need to repeat these steps after every reboot.

did not know that, thank you!
I'm wondering if anybody else is having (or ever has had) this issue.
I try to sideload an app, yet I can't click the install button. It just won't do anything. I'm on CleanROM 4.7, and have been since that version came out. Last time I successfully sideloaded an app was last Wednesday, and since then nothing will work at all. Yes, install from unknown sources is checked and all that. Literally nothing has changed in my phone setup.
What are you trying to sideload?
Why not just try pushing what ever app it is into your system? Then just fix permissions and reboot!! Not sure what app your trying to get but might help with your issue...

Icon pack that is not in the Play Store yet. Developed by a friend of mine. It sideloads onto my Samsung Infuse just fine.

none of the apps is installing specifically installing from apk is unsuccessful, installing from play store works fine, restoring a backup is fine as well. It's just the apk(for any app) which is giving me trouble.
Your checked installing from unkown sources? In developer options?

Im wondering if I have to root my tab to get this voice recorder apk to install...
I installed AT&t's visual voice mail APK no problems..
hmmmmmm
Late reply, but the people facing this issue might benefit from this.
Seems it was an issue because of trying to install apk with 'night filter' on. Android disables app install while any screen dimming app is on due to security reasons.
ps: still waiting for cm lol

We just don't get it. Old Xperia L could play it, but the S3 get's no love on the game for some reason,.
Its an issue with 4.3 on the S3 and I don't know why they haven't been able to fix it. I did get it to run a while back but had to install an older version that I knew worked because I used to run it
Yeah the older versions worked perfectly but the new one is not.

You'll probably just have to wait for a bug fix update then.

This new versions been out for a while. I dont think theyre doing a bug fix.
Ps: does anyone know how to disable the update notification in the old versions. i cant play with data/wifi on because it keep bugging me to update to the new version. it takes me to the market and as you know its "incompetible"
If enough people email the dev it might motivate them to fix it. Especially if everyone starts demanding refunds and leaving poor reviews. No guarantee of course, but its more guaranteed that nothing will happen if no one tries to make it happen!
In app manager most apps have a checkbox for display notifications. Maybe that'll help?

I have found a solution. I was browsing Samsung's galaxy app store and saw asphalt 8 being featured so I was like what the hay, so I installed it and it runs perfectly! Maybe they forgot to unblock the S3 from when it was having problems at Google play? Anyways give it a try!

I downloaded it from gamelofts store the apk itself than the data. It worked flawlessly. However when I try to compete my brother on local wofi it doesn't show his device whether he created the game
