RaverX3X AOSP User Based Q&A Thread

IGuys if you have to ask questions about the rom raver built do it here. Please.
Also any general discussion about the rom.
Post logacats for legitimate bugs in his dev thread. If you not sure if it's a legitimate bug, ask here.
The dev thread got locked once for dumb questions and off topic banter. The next time it will be gone, according to RaverX3X himself.
So let's keep ourselves together and behave correctly
I'll try to keep a list of known broken things.

was the rom updated? i know when it first appeared people were saying nothing worked...now the dev thread was re-opened and it says this:

it doesnt say that there was an update???? but it seems like people are responding in the thread that things are working now

I dont think audio is working yet. Does anyone know if autorotation is proper?

I remember voice and data not working. But Raver was working on fixing em

Only thing that wasn't working when he released it was audio and data as far as I know. Don't think he released any newer version yet o.o

It's still the same version RC0. So all bugs are still present.

no i changed up some of the initial post a bit the build thats posted now doesn't match the md5 i have listed need to fix that. Its slightly different form the initial release. As i was experimenting with kanging the rils from the leak as i used the kernel from it and the modem

Yeah rom is still same, he just opened thread back up and updated it a bit

cool...thanks for the response...i will be anxiously waiting for a stable build...nice work thus far

I saw someone post that he got data and calling working, incoming calls not working.

BTW should this be moved to the Q&A section? There is less traffic over there, so I think it's easier to discuss in and well.. this is a Q&A thread lol. Plus the general section has a huge amount of stickies that bugs my eyes lol.

Some said they were getting voicemails. Those are probably over Wifi.

I did not realize we had a q&a section. We didn't in the beginning and I never subscribed to it. I'll ask for it to be moved.
Also, Eugene and Raver together would be great.

At least its not on a dev thread but I still dont get why this thread is only 2 pages. Do people run out of thanks and questions just because they arent unloading on a dev thread?

Unfortunately people just don't look in the general and q&a section or search at all.

I think he was talkin about the one that was there and is no longer there. I think the issue was that it was posted as official by somebody not on the cm team. I was subscribed to the post but no longer am since it looks to have been deleted. Bummer tho cause it was nice to have it in the development section specifically for the Sprint gnex

What difference does it make? Nightlies change... nightly. The thread is only good for discussions. Just refer to a thread in general or make one if there isn't one. It makes no sense to have a development thread for nightlies.

So flood general which is GSM and cdma for two us carriers? It will get lost putting on in its respective carrier's dev section would clear the already clutter general and keep everyone apprised of status etc

Well, S-Voice can help you search. Just tap the microphone icon and say "How can I root my Sprint Galaxy S III".

thank you for the helpful response, but i notice that none of these are official websites or forums where a representative developer is posting directly. I remember reading earlier about rootzwiki having a thread for it, but did not see it there.

Ya I didn't look at the results. ...I was just really wanting to use that link. I just figured out how to do that (I know behind the times). Surprised it's that hard to find.

You could flash the one for the at&t note 2. Just make sure to flash the tmobile modem. The rootzwiki version is also in the at&t section over there

The Android is extremely paranoid right now he hiding! ^_^

You don't need to flash a t mobile modem over an att rom.

It is very very sad to see the close WICKED ROM thread here on Xda. WICKED was and is the most famous and known ROM on M919 but now...?

The moderator said the intent was to only close it for a few days. Hopefully evilart will contact him to make sure it comes back to life.
Been on every wicked since v7 came out and it is the best Rom out there for the s4 and it would definitely be sad if there is no more development on it.
