I747 best roms? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I noticed white a few nice roms like blackstar/siya, omega custom or the i9300 but I didn't see too many that were for the 747 (and from what I learned -you can brick your phone with the wrong version)...so what are the top roms for the i747 and will the above two roms be available for the 747 anytime soon?

Idk which ones are best, all a matter of preference but here's a list of all roms currently available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1725839

And that is basically it. Just go to the Development or Original Development forums here and see the list of all the best ROMs.

[Q] Custom kernels for the i747

I was going to install the Siyah kernel but it is only for the international version so I wanted to know what are some good ROMs for my Galaxy S3. BTW I already have CM10 installed
All the ones in Development and Original Development. They are all the best.
For the thousandth time, the best is what works for you since no one uses their phone exactly like you there is no way of knowing what is best for you. Only you know that and can figure that out by reading the OP of each ROM.

Stock rom, etc--> repository request

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1903252
This is a thread in the Epic 4G Touch(Sprint Galaxy S2) forum which bundles together in a list all of the stock roms that have been released, leaked, or whatever. I'm requesting that someone make such a repository for the benefit of all beginners in this forum because even though this phone is amazing and has a lot of developer support I see a general lack of care for the little guys who don't know where, or how, to find stock roms, modems, kernels, etc. The Epic 4G Touch forum has always been my favorite because they have automated scripts for flashing roms and a VERY detailed list on how to do everything from themes, recoveries, and modifications.
Isn't the Galaxy S3 THE flagship phone? If so why do I feel like nobody cares to simplify and 'perfect' the experience?
On a side note, I wish someone would make an extremely debloated stock rom with speed enhancements and general tweaks to better the experience without someone elses preferences put into the mix. Okay maybe just a tad bit of theming or what not...
Example, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363071 (PhantomHacker Blazer rom)
Here is an example of the automated script for flashing a rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1394332
The one-click odin program was made by sfhub, a great guy, who made tons of these for leaks and ota's and I would love to see these in the Galaxy S3 forum someday.
Here is his thread list: http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=86597072
I'm not sure if one click Odin is supported on s3. I made a couple dozen one clicks (Odin and Heimdall) for my captivate, but it used a verry different version of Odin. As for the repo request, check the sticky in development for all stuff I747(or look in my sig . There should be a handy dandy link to just that.
I forgot about that thread lol

I actually stumbled across this thread not to long ago and I forgot about it. There's only one thing that is missing in my opinion which is a list of the Stock roms themselves with no mods in a .Tar format for Odin so in case of a soft brick they can Odin back to stock.
I find myself actually struggling with finding a stock rom in .tar for some reason , do you happen to have a link?
I gave you a thanks for the reply! :good:
Usually, if i want an official stock, i download from sammobile.com.

Battery Kernel for ATT S3 Touchwiz????

So I'm searching around for a kernel that will work with my ATT S3 running Rooted Stock Touchwiz (Updated to Jellybean 4.1.1.. This is what ATT released) but I'm not finding anything so far. I've seen kernels for other S3 but for different carriers.
Are there any kernels that work with Touchwiz that would improve battery life? If so can someone provide me a few links or even names of kernels you use.
I tried CM10 but find myself coming back to Touchwiz.
Any help would be appreciative.:fingers-crossed:

Thanks.
Is tbere a way to go back to Samsung stock rom? I did not back it up.

No TW features on 4.3. I think there was a minimal amount things on 4.2.2, but nothing really like the actual TW experience. If you want to go back stock, you have two choices: either Odin back to 100% stock and re-root... which is the boring way. OR you can d/l a modified/stock ROM and flash that with whatever custom recovery you have. Check the development sections; there are quite a few stock choices, and which one to pick just depends on whether you want it themed, bone stock looking, etc.
Thanks so much.
Do you have any recomedarions on modified stock Rom?
I am mostly concerned about a good battery life and speed of the device and getting back TW features.
By tbe way, do all midified stock Roms have TW features in them?
What are yiur recomedarions based on what I am looking for?
Thanks a lot

All modified stock ROMs have the TW features.
I've personally been using BobcatROM from the i9505 development section, but from what I could tell, the only differences between the modified stock are themes and small differences here and there. Just check a few out, if some of the tweaks or changes interest you, try it out.

Could you please point me to the right section to get modified original roms?
Is it in T-Mobile S4 Android Development section or t the T-Mobile S4 Android Original Android Development section?
I am not sure whether the original implies modified original rom section?
Would you also please include a link to where I can find your bobcat rom?
Thank you so much!

I gotta let you do SOME of the legwork But seriously, the mod/stock ROMs will be in Android Development and you can find kernels in the Original Development section. Considering you flash a T-Mobile kernel directly after flashing a ROM, you can use ROMs from any S4 development section including the "original development" section; be it AT&T, Sprint, etc. The only restriction is make sure not to flash a ROM from the i9500 section. The 9500 (Exynos octa-core) and 9505 (Snapdragon like the m919 and others) is the "international version" and share a forum; just different subsections dedicated to each one individually. The i9505 section is safe, which is where Bobcat is located. It's pounded into the ground, but it's worth mentioning again; if you rely on WiFi calling, you will want a T-Mobile TouchWiz ROM. If you're like me though and care nothing about WiFi calling then there's no reason to stick with only the T-Mobile ROMs unless you just prefer them.

ROMs do come with kernels, and that's why if you flash an S4 ROM from outside the T-Mobile section you need to flash a T-Mobile kernel. The T-Mobile ROMs obviously already have T-Mobile kernels. If you flash a ROM from the AT&T section, your device will be using an AT&T kernel and will not boot. But if you flash the AT&T ROM and flash a T-Mobile kernel directly afterwards, your device will then have the T-Mobile kernel and will run that AT&T ROM just like it was built for your device. The only way to retain your TouchWiz features is to use any ROM based on stock. If you want AOKP, CM, AOSP, etc you will lose all of the TW features. I think WatchON works on some (most?) non-TW ROMs now; but as far as things like Air Move, Smart Pause/Stay, the TouchWiz camera, and the other gimmicky features... they don't work outside of TouchWiz. Read up. Go to the dev sections and read, at the very least, the first post for the ROMs. That first post will almost always give you an idea of what features the ROM includes, screenshots of what it looks like, what's not working that is supposed to, and if it's TouchWiz based or CM/AOSP based.
And throw lordcheeto a thanks or two lets him know you appreciate his leg work and explanation.
Thanks so much for all this info!
Really appreciate it.

ROMs for other S4 variants usable on M919?

Simply put what other development pages can I look at for ROMs? Or should I only look here?
Never mind think I found it, flashing TMO kernel after ROM.
