Video of Jelly Bean on GSIII - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

The video is in Spanish... In the Youtube comments it's not clear if he already shared this ROM on XDA. I looked around, but I could not find it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33DoSZuS1ao&feature=player_embedded

I like the additions they added to the notification bar and I love Google Now. Can't wait for the update..whenever it gets here

Yea I agree, I do prefer stock JB, but the current AOKP or CM builds just aren't stable enough for me. Touchwiz is perfectly fine though.

wow.. i cant wait till there is a test version of this rom available for the masses. Im constantly going back between CM10 and Diet ICS/kyanROm. I simply dont have good battery life with ICS roms, but with CM10, its a day and night difference in terms of battery consumption. Only downside to Cm10 is that there is no access to netflix just yet.
But Cm10 is a work in progress (WIP), so it will get better, as it already has, in due time.

still prefer the pure bean!

the difference in performance alone when you drop touchwiz is enough for me to deal with that stuff
i did kind of get used to s-voice, but it made the home button laggy and couldnt be bound to another gesture

I cant wait for this to leak for our phones. I have always hated touch wiz. But I have to admit, I don't mind it on the s3. From the looks of that video it looks like a good mash up.

Google now was featured. And it seems there are some problems with the build, at least if the thread on xda is any indication. Good to see Samsung is working on it though!

Same here. I used to hate TouchWiz, but the one on SGS3 is pretty bearable and very smooth.
This JB leak is definitely welcome. Let's just remove that S voice and start using Google Now.
If someone can just port the camera app onto CM10, it will be golden.

I hate it, it just sucks badly I mean its good if your trying to get to the end of a long list but is bad when you just want to get to the middle. as much as I tried to let it grow on me I couldn't, it was just to fast and it would lag most times. if this is like a new feature instead of a bug for me its truly a step backwards plus I never had an issue trying to get to the bottom of a list like xda on GB.

It personally does not bother me at all. If you don't like the scrolling but want to stay on ics then try a aosp based rom instead. There are several options.
The older builds of AOKP either fixed or just didn't have that massive scroll acceleration that touchwiz based roms did.

Who would like to see AOSP rom's developed?

I know for most the loss of s-pen defeats the purpose of the N2. But the 5.5 RGB, quadcore, would be great for something like CM10 just stock google 4.1.2 . Anyone else agree? Think it would ever happen?

Nope, cause if you're like me, you might care more about the larger screen than the S-Pen. I hardly use it at all, and I'm dying to have the option of using CM10. I really hope it'll happen!! There's a HUGE difference between the stock Samsung rom and AOSP, much more noticeable smoothness. Plus it just looks better imo; I can't stand Samsung's color scheme and design, it's quickly becoming a relic to me..

One of the nice things about rooting, is that you don't have to keep touchwiz.
Here's a nice tutorial I used to really make my device different while keeping the pen functionality.
Youtube Tutorial
I mean, I understand the idea behind AOSP, but a simple theme can be had without switching too much.
I'm guessing for you (and me fwiw), an AOSP +spen variant would be the best. Maybe you could isolate some of the more important pieces of stock sammy, and install them after AOSP.
Which is a good reason for wanting an AOSP.
I am finding swype with the s-pen almost better than two handed typing. Screen size aside, from a productivity standpoint, the s-pen > current AOSP anything.

Thats because of the radio interface layer needs to be decompiled and edited. The htc thunder bolt was the first lte phone and any rom other then stock would not have signal becsuse of said ril files. Of course by now someone figured out how to edit this ril files. I believe I can use the knowledge I learned from editing the TB's ril fil to get CM10 working here.

There are a few JB TouchWiz leaks out there. They're still not stable enough to be daily drivers yet though. Latest one from a day or so ago looks fairly promising, but it'll probably be a little while before they're solid.

Best JB 4.2 ROM?

What is currently considered the best 4.2 ROM in terms of features and stability? I'm looking for something in which I will not lose any functionality going from 4.1 (which I'm currently on) to 4.2. I tried checking out all the ASOP ROM threads, but it's a little difficult to get a feeling for what's working and what's not right now..
Thanks for the help. The main reason I'm looking to upgrade up to ASOP/4.2 is for Google Music All Access
In my opinion, Vanilla Root box is the best. It has features from CM10.1, AOKP and Paranoid Android.

AOKP or Rootbox are the best at the moment, imo. Ran these the most and had minimal issues.
Rootbox or EOS
Really though, they are all quite stable and I encountered very few issues with any.
If Camera is important to you, however, my experience is that you should stick with something like Lifeless or a Stock ROM.

I agree with the camera part. I'm running beanstalk and it seems just as good as any other aosp ROM I've tried. However they all have the same camera problems. Even with the camera script it just isn't as fast and seems like the focus isn't quite right. Lifeless with epics camera mod is solid for taking great photos. I always keep a lifeless backup just for that reason.

What you like about jelly Beer?
I had to ditch Rootbox cuz it was too inconsistent. I'd try to make calls and they'd just hang up, people would get multiple of the same text messages, and I could not hang up at times. I'd push the end button and it would hang up until the person on the other line would.
I'm currently on Beanstalk. So far haven't encountered any issues other than the occasional screen flicker and that the gps won't lock. I love the Darkstalk option too!
