I've delayed posting this super noob question as long as possible...
I've installed multiple ROMs on my DInc without any problems. However, I now have the bug to try KANG³][CM9][UNOFFICIAL] Linaro Optimized Droid Incredible CM9 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1759007). The problem is - I can't seem to figure out how to actually download this GD rom?!?! All I see are instrux about how to compile it from source - is that what I have to do or is there a link to the actual rom lurking somewhere?
Noob-ily yours,
Queen Noob

Ouch, that's super embarrassingly obvious now. Thanks very much
Never mind.... How is everyone's weekend going??? I guess does anyone have aeroevan's latest kernel uploaded outside of goo.im?? They are down for maintenance ... Also is gapps mirrored anywhere else???
Check reviles mirror site. I don't have a link but I think he has one in his sig. Not sure if he has gapps on there but he probably has aeros kernel.

Please thank Neverends for his continuous updates....
I'm going through a seperation/divorce (again) so I've barely got time to flash nightlies let alone update links. Does anyone know any rich single girls?
For Screen flickering issues try going into Settings-->Developer Options-->Disable HW overlays
Here are some added links for quick access. Please hit justin860s Thanks Button for his time and work! Without these group of devs, most of us would be running stock firmware :crying: I suggest browsing the AOKP thread as well to see if any bugs that you are experiencing are also present on other CM10 builds. There may be a fix not posted in the CM10 Q&A thread so typically I'll look elsewhere before asking. Or use this ----> Advanced Search for At&t S3 forums

lmgtfy is unhelpful
In the interest of making the OP as maximally helpful as possible, could you replace the "lmgtfy" links with actual links?
If you're looking for the Google Apps for this ROM, you want the JellyBean ones from one of these two sources:
http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/Google_Apps
http://goo.im/gapps
--
Otherwise, thanks for the useful post.
will this be on 3g or lte 4g. I loaded the previews build and kept going from 3g to hspt. I'm on rogers?

I followed in Cyanogens footsteps by not directly linking to them... I am not sure if it was a legal issue or not but if you look at his posts he always says search for them - his quote was "Google Apps are not included in this ROM. You'll need to find those yourself if you want them."

All you have to do is fix APN settings.
Sent from my Motorola DynaTAC 8000X
Google had asked that gapps not be packaged with cm. So they stopped including them

i know that on AT&T you get 3g, H, and 4g
You might want to check ot make sure you have the correct APN
APN - ltemobile.apn
MMSC - http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
MMS proxy - 10.128.1.69
MMS port - 80
APN type - *
All other values leave as default.
Is starting this new thread even necessary? I'm fairly sure cyanogen will eventually change the Preview thread to Nightly.
EDIT: But, if you take the time to update your OP with known issues & workarounds (as I see you have already), then I'm all for it. :highfive: BillyG!

The information was outdated and the conversations in the thread were based on the preview builds... I contacted the forum mod and explained to him that I posted this thread and if they need it shut down - to do so.. We will leave the rest up to cyanogen and the mods. Just trying to help the people asking where to get the nightly and the new gapps... if Steve wants this thread shut down its perfectly fine for me. The donate link goes to him and I made it clear that it was not my rom or my build.
well, i am interested in seeing this progress!

the progress from now forward is primarily feature additions... this rom is surprisingly smooth and well put together... there are very few bugs and at the rate the team is working, they should be squashed soon..
Fortunately or us Cyanogen himself is working on the AT&T and T-Mo versions! :victory:
If you want(or need) to point folks to the Q&A thread for CM10, go for it. It's pretty much questions and answers from all sorts of folks. I think it can handle the additional traffic
Do I need to do any wipes before flashing if coming from ParanoidAndroid?

You can try to install by wiping cache and Dalvik.... If you do run in to problems then do a full wipe

You should always fully wipe coming from another ROM.

ParanoidAndroid is a cm10 based rom.... Should work w/o full wipe.... Like switching from aokp to cm10 and back
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
It would be a good idea too even though Paranoid is based on CM10.. you can try just wiping Cache/Dalvik and if you have problems then do a full wipe. But Im no expert! Just a dude on XDA!

I just noticed their server is not pointing to the file correctly.. honestly, when this has happened in the past, just give them some time.. they typically fix it.. unless there is a larger server issue..
Let's hope.
Go to get.cm click vivow under the device list that'll take you to all the inc2 files find rc3 DONT CLICK DIRECT DOWNLOAD! Click the link at the bottom of the box
I've tried old nightlies, the stable version, and even the last nightly (12/26) of CM10 and I can't get MMS to work at all. It works fine on any TW ROM and it used to work on CM. I have an Airave in my house so signal isn't an issue. I've tried it with and without my WIFI on and nothing sends. What's up with that?
Can a mod delete this seeing as how no one has an answer
i've never had a problem with mms. currently on 1/3/13 cm 10.1 nightly using stock messenger app. cm 10.1 12/26 is extremely stable and it does not have the problems that the more recent builds have. i would suggest starting from there. also make sure to do a clean flash no matter what rom you're coming from.

Every time I flash a new ROM I always do a full wipe. I don't like CM10.1 because of the extra folder(s) situation. I'll more than likely just stick with TouchWiz
Ahh there was a fix for this somewhere! I'll try to remember where or see if I can find it or see if I can remember the fix...
Have you tried searching for similar problems/threads? I definitely remember seeing this before.
