Custom kernels based on 2.17 ? - HTC One X

Are there any modified kernels based on 2.17 source? I used to have franko and faux but both are based on 1.29 kernel.
Also, cannot set core-count (to dual-core) with latest kernel. (I'm using InsertCoin 9.10)

[Q] Older kernel on sense 4.1 rom?

Hello, can I use the previous stock kernel on the new maXimus 2.2 rom because the new stock kernel, faux, and franco kernels are not giving as good battery life also the faux rom has brought up a screen flicker which never previously showed. Would it be ok to install the older kernel on the new build?
Thanks

flashing from recovery will not install the kernel ever. You have to flash the kernel from pc, then rom from recovery.
if using a kernel NOT given by default with the ROM it will likely need repacking and you would additionally have to flash the appropriate modules
Use this:http://www.xda-developers.com/android/bricked-installer-makes-one-x-kernel-flashing-simple/
and/or visit the thread called Kernels repacked for arhd

ncx kernel on renovate rom

i tried flashing ncx 217 v 13 sense with a current renovate rom 12.2.0. it flashed okay no errors but my kernel didn't change in settings and the boot.img needed to boot properly is still renovate's boot.img
is the ncx kernel i'm using not compatible with renovate?
custom kernels arn't compatible with sense JB ROMs
ohh. i didn't know that:laugh:
thanks:good:

[Q] Does having the JB kernel source mean we can install JB roms on any hboot?

My CID doesn't have JB yet. I was wondering if having the JB kernel sources released means that we could finally use the JB roms on older hboots?

Question Does it exist Custom Kernels based on MIUI (EU) STOCK kernel?

Hi to all,
I'm using MIUI EU weekly, and, as I'm still not convinced by AOSP or CAF custom kernels (that are generally buggy or not very well optimized), I'm looking for:
1. The MIUI Stock kernel easily flashable via FKM or EXKM (without having to use Fastboot)
2. Custom kernels based on MIUI that improve a little bit performances (especially CPU) of the pure stock kernel.
Thanks in advance for your help
