Verizon JB bootloader - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Could someone provide a link to download and install (tutorial?) the newest JB bootloader. These long boots suck...

Are the long boots the only reason to flash this?

From my understanding, Bigxie version is this with root and deoxed, so might as well get that anyway.
Actually I don't believe this thread belongs in the development section.
The value here is for someone like me who had the sdcard0 bug every time I flashed from 4.0.4. With this, I can wipe the entire device and start fresh with 4.1.1. We no longer have to roll back to ICS to "factory reset" our phones.
how can you install one of these? I am just used to the usual CWM flashing...

Read the post 4 posts above. You have to build the code into a .zip. He even pasted the link.
I will make a flash able zip in a few hours.

No and yes. In theory they should be the same but things can get weird with ota's some times. The best is a factory image base not a ota. So you will see most dev's updating their bases to this in the coming days. If he posts a zip it will be in the correct place in the Dev section. Also if he posts a rooted deodexed zip many people will thank him for it.

it was the GSM version.
neither the vzw or sprint ones have the JB OTA yet.
I'm curious as to who's going to get it first.
No.
And we're not sure how long Sprint will take.
But, since you're an xda member it'll be very easy for you to flash a perfectly stable 4.1 ROM.

Unlocking boot loader doesn't stop you from updating
Also completely stock meaning you didn't flash a custom ROM or flash a different kernel/radio ,ect

I thought I heard you need to update the os from 4.0.1→4.0.2→4.0.3→4.0.4→4.1.1? I remember hearing you have to do that maybe you don't.

if he's not rooted (a OTA update works even with rooted devices) and fully stock (meaning, OP didn't touch a thing, only installed his apps), then the normal OTA process will work.
I am sorry that I am not fully aware of all the terms and processes regarding android systems. I have flashed my mobile once because I was asked to do so for a problem in my phone earlier, by someone from the xda forum posts. I haven't been able to update from 4.0.1 yet.. So can you please please provide me with steps to update from 4.0.1 to 4.1 in detail... Also when you mentioned download the update for your version into your computer, where do I do that from?
Thanks everyone.

(Q)how to revert back to android 4.1.2

now I'm on 4.2.1. i don't like 4.2.1 it's too laggy and automatically restart and sometimes can't answer the call!

You can download the factory 4.1 image from the android developers site, then you just have to flash it with fastboot

there's actually a faster way, assuming he wants a custom rom
But there's a deeper issue here: understanding his call delay, rebooting, and lag. If he's on a custom kernel, that might explain it.
everything is stock just unlocked bootloader.

Did you try to see if you have their issues too with a custom custom 4.2.x ?

this.
op probably got OTA
Do you overclock, underclock ?
So if you want to try custom ROM flash one and see if you still have your problems and if they are gone you will never want to go back to stock

Galaxy Nexus will not update to 4.2.1

Unrooted my sprint GNexus downloads the 4.2.1 update then goes to install it and installation aborts and you see the android with the red triangle. I tried to hard reset it like 10 times and used wugfresh's nexus root tool kit and still no luck please help..

Make sure boot loader is locked
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
In short. You have to make sure you have the stock system on your phone. Including radios and recovery. Both radios should be FH05. If not it will keep failing.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The boot loader is locked.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Where do I get the zips to flash?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Boot loader does not need to be locked. It does not interfere with ota updates. However make sure you have the correct system.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I got the factory image 4.1.1 off the Google development site and ran wugfresh's program.

Like I said you might need to manually flash the FH05 radios. Make sure that under settings/about phone the base bands both have FH05 on them

Read post above....u need original radio.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Here is the flashable for the FH05 radios. If you need the .img files only Im pretty sure you can just pull them out and push them.
I get the radios back to FH05 and now I can't find the update through my phone! I try searching for an update and nothing happens. Guess I have to wait for it to come back to me again.
Thank you everyone I'm glad people on here help each other out I fixed it
