I don't have the Galaxy S3 but I've used the Epic 4G in the past with TouchWiz. I loved how I could just hold down a calendar entry, it would undock, and then I could drag it around to another time slot.
I now have the Nexus and I can't do that with the stock Google calendar. I have to physically click edit, edit the entry, tap in new digits, etc.
Does the GS3's calendar still have drag-able calendar entries? I see that it's been revamped a bit since the Epic 4G.
Erm... no one can tell me if you can drag around calendar entries on their phone?

Hi,
I have the 3x1 (?) calendar widget on my home screen and a couple of times I have remved my phone from my dock I have inadvertently touched the screen and the phone has gone straight to adding a new calendar entry. I am assuming that I have touched the calendar app somewhere to do this but I cannot replicate it!
Any ideas?
TIA,
Timmo
I'm running Fresh 3.1.0.2 on my EVO, and I'd like to know if there a way to show more than one appointment on a single day, or for that matter two appointments on sequential days on the calendar that appears as a result of the Scenes - Work configuration. I understand real estate is limited, but I would expect some indicator of multiple appointments. My screen only shows the first of two appointments. Am I missing something. Thanks
If you're talking about the default calendar widget from Android, then no. You can however go get a different widget from the Market. Might I recommend "Agenda Widget"?
Quick question... I've just switched back to Sense from CM6, and I'm wondering if I am losing my mind.
Am I right in saying that it is NOT POSSIBLE to edit calendar entries using HTC calendar? That seems unbelievable to me, but so far the only options I can see are to create an entry or delete. There is no "edit" option. I'm 99% certain that the AOSP calendar has this.
Can someone please confirm?
Thanks,
Matt_TX
EDIT: Even more bizarre... I CAN edit entries created on my Exchange Calendar, but I CANNOT edit entries created on my Google Calendars. So weird!
My edit option seems to depend on where the entry comes from. If I add something striaght to the calendar I can edit it as I please. If it's something that sync'ed from lets say Facebook then I can not edit it. My work exchange also syncs and it all depends on what the event is and if it's something I originally made or not. All in all I think it depends on the type of even it is but I will also be watching this thread to see if someone has a little more info they can chime in with.
This is really very strange...
I can add, edit and delete apppointments on my Exchange calendar - regardless of where the entry was orignally made - Phone, OWA or Outlook.
I can ONLY add or delete (NO EDIT) appointments on my Google calendar(s) - regardless of where the entry was originally made - Phone or Web.
Anyone know why this is the case? AOSP calendar works just fine... Is this a bug in Sense?
Hey guys
A while ago I was looking for a Calendar with the same layout/functionality as the iOS calendar on iPhone. Meaning while in month view when touching a date it shows the events below the calendar without going to day view.
Now I just found out that the samsung touchwiz calendar does exactly what I was looking for, they basically copied the iOS calendar.
Is there a possibility to run the touchwiz calendar on my Desire with Sense Froyo? Or does anyone know of a calendar on the market which has the same functionality?
thanks
Try Business Calendar:

thanks, but tried it before and doesn't have the function I mean, although it does have the hovering popups showing events, but it's too small/unclear on the desire..
You can check it this out... downside is that it was ported for CM7 roms and prolly for Epic 4G only. Might test it out sometime.

ah thanks that's basically what I was looking for, just for Desire
tried flashing the zips but doesn't work since it double checks if it's the right device, which should be the Epic.
tried copying/installing the apk's from the zip, but fc'ing after "successful" installation..
Geezus! I understand since I've switched from a note3 to a new note4 there will be some changes, but I've gotten used to (and really like) a few of the native note apps and functions like:
Action Memo widget
Where it shows a yellow post-it-note style memo directly on the home screen. You can simply swipe up or down to scroll though your different memos. The fine people at samsung thought to do away with this! Action memo isn't completely taken away, but the widget is gone!
Also,
The ability to hover your finger above the screen to preview messages and emails, of course you need to use the samsung stock messaging and email apps. However they taken this functionality away! This is what separated my high end phone to other phones that's couldn't do this. I guess now I'll just need to whip put my spen and show the differences.
Any thoughts?
To some people, this probably isn't a big deal, however to others (including me) is!
Yeah!! I was so bummed about the finger hover thing. I came from a note 2!!! AND I WAS excited for this feature...
Action Memo's are now saved in S Note and show up in the S Note widget. They can be synced to the desktop and other Samsung devices which is smart. Having them as an island never really made sense. At least to me.
An action note widget work around that I found...
So I opened an action note and used the pin icon to place it on the screen as a widget. But that only does one memo. So I created a new memo, and then repeated it over and over. I now have a home page with 2 rows of 4 memos on it. I just use them as scratch paper and then clear them when I am done for the day.
The only catch is that you cannot save an empty memo as a widget, so I put a single dot on the corner of each memo and then it saves.
