Improve search function

First let me just say how much I appreciate xda, because without it I would never have given android a chance. The only thing I would like to see in the xda app is the ability to narrow a search down to forums, it would help immensely when searching for info on a particular device

My apologies, I missed that you wanted that in the xda app. Not possible there, only through the website. I would suggest however that you post this request in the stickied thread in this forum named XDA Android App Problems/Bugs/Features etc
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841646
Thank you and sorry again for missing that.

[Q] When will I be not new anymore?

I have a question for you... When will the 5 minutes 1 post limit be removed? Is this bound to the postcount?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
Yeah, I had the same question since I've gone over the 10 post thing.
I did some searching and couldn't find an answer unless I overlooked it.
Guess you haven't read this. Btw, i think that restriction's uplifted when you complete 10 posts.
Code:
System.out.println("Sent from my SGY");
Moved to About XDA.

With the 10 post , you got to wait for the script to update. Once an hour

People SEARCH AND READ a little bit.
Why do you take time to answer and... Answer something like this. Some People have big ego in this forum. The question is in q&a so at the right place. Stop crying

Thanks. I can't dev but I help where I can. You can use this tool to do the same:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andromo.dev80417.app176212 or just use the website. It's fun for a bit of light hearted sarcasm.

but than people wont get to ask the same repetitive question 10 posts in a row or heaven forbid they have to page surf for an answer
I've found that a lit of searching has to do with using the right keywords

Yes, but look at the general and q&a, you will see 2-3 which rom for my wife/gf threads near the top. If you are a member and can post, simply looking first would answer the question. I was a noob once too. Still not a pro by any means. I just encourage people to try first, as the forum itself asks the same. Often a search will answer a question quicker than asking and waiting for replies.

If that was directed at me, am I to assume sarcasm is lost? Because if you can't find it, I would direct you to the first post in this thread. It's right there.
Also, if you check the threads I referred to, I did give my opinion. That was my point. I and several people had answered the question already, more than once, yet people still insist on starting another thread.

do you mean official from sprint? if so, not sure but I don't think many people have gotten it yet.. I'd say if you're really sweating for the update, just root and get stock jb, that's what I did and been enjoying since

Was this really necessary? The rollout can take up to 10 days to come to everyone's device.
Please post in this thread.
OP please search before creating a new thread, as there are threads in place for this topic, Thanks.
