Porting custom ROM ICS Arc to xperia play. - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, i am noob about porting ROM, so here i want to ask developer how to port another rom ( especially custom ROM ics from xperia arc) to our xplay?
Maybe thread or post will important.
Why xperia arc?, there are many beautiful n powerfull custom ROM there, n our hardware is little different ( gamepad), and we got ics beta n it's kernel that maybe will get easier to port ROM.
Thanx for ur attention...

Can i use ICS ROMS that are in development section in a arc LT15i? Or only Arc S is able? Because is Android 4.0.

new ics for lt15i/18i
yes you can ... new post in development with autoflash ... will flash your arc/arc s with ics beta 4.03 .... its great ,works great ,but you need unlock bootloader
you can try it. Bugs are very minimum and fixable
from gtab
Try this one : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1515148
Its ARC (Lt15i)
I have it now and would recommend you to wait... It is quite slow at times... But if you can live with it then give it a go.. I use the Xperia mod and it is great

Try TEAM rom And if you want the xperia s look try Dixperia rom.
sent from my Xperia PLAY running DiXperia
U should get something that improves performance. Maybe,... was the rom called cola from hogwarts? I'm not sure but its okay. If u want the ics look get gbtweaked.

Try DiXperia Monster with DoomKernel v11 it's stock based but gives you a fresh feel of Xperia S or NXT series. But only problem is with the 2G/3G data but I mostly use WiFi so I can deal with it until official ICS release.

Acro S, S and SL pretty much share the same stock rom. However from what I believe the rom was edited a little bit to make it compatible with the devices it works on. I would be working on Acro S rom on SL after i get a hold of an SL. But it depends. I got no budget now. I would make Customizable roms if I can get a hold of all 3 Devices FTF files from the first stock rom till the most recent roms. I only have the Acro S first till the latest stock rom. Only thing I need now is people helping me to get back ups of STOCK ROMS from SL. Xperia S i prety much have an Idea of where to get it from.
Very good bro
Take your time do some quality work
So, what is the final verdict? Can I take the CM10 for Xperia S and just flash it? Would it work? I am planning on finding out tomorrow anyways

My SL working fine. Just shows Xperia S instead of Xperia SL in about phone. Gonna try editing build.prop Check my siggy for my rom details.
Wondering if my kernel supports overclocking.

Did it work???
Is it better to stick with a stock Xperia SL or to root, unlock and install a custom kernel and rom on it? Just wanting to know because I may soon want to do it or maybe not, depending on how it is from your experience.
i have already rooted it but don't know what to do next?? Are there any custom roms available for SL?

I need Xperia Arc lt15i Stock keyboard, using costum rom.

Hi all,i'm sorry if this question was asked before, but i was looking all over on google and theme and apps section but i can't find it anywhere.Could anyone upload Xperia Arc ICS Stock keyboard that works on this costum rom,in cwm flashing method or just apk.
So i'm using:
Xperia Arc ICS 4.0.4 .587 with Ultimate HD 2.0 ROM
Pls,i don't like the costum keyboard i need the stock one.Thank you.
Edit:
I have one more question,is there a mod for ICS to have 420 mb insted of 380mb?
Sent from my LT15i using xda premium
Anyone?Anyone at all?!?!?
Sent from my Xperia Arc lt15i
bump
Look around, there's plenty of stock based roms, just download one, and extract the keyboard.
Or install Xperia S keyboard - it's way better then Arc IMHO (again, a simple search will reveal its secrets)
About 420MB - thats how much I have stock, with no mods (on Arc S though, but the rom should be the same, just clock speed is different)
