Want intl. unlocked samsung factory rom... - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Is there a factory rom image for S3 that one can install on the tmobile unit? In particular, I just want to lose the bloatware, unlock the unit for intl sims, and allow free tethering.
What is the best rom for this? I know my intl s2 had all of the above.
thanks

Check out qcom tools in dev section. You can root with it and I believe unlock the sim( I'm not 100% if the SIM unlock is in it or works). Then you can debloat your self or download one of the Roms in the dev section that are debloated. There is a stock debloated Rom posted there.

so which is the rom i'd need to replicate the international stock version (no bloatware) ?

A search wouldn't kill you.I'm not going to do it for you lol And if you want stock you can just root and uninstall the bloat yourself with titanium backup.

u do realise this is the Q&A sub forum, maybe you should try giving help in a different sub forum.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app

How was the information I offered not helpful? I explained that a Rom isn't necessary just to debloat. I pointed him to a tool to aid in rooting. I also gave the name of an app that can uninstall the stock files installed by the carriers.

International ROM will not work and will brick your phone. If you bought the device from tmobile, you can just request a sim unlock which should arrive within 72 hours. As far as debloated ROMs go, I recommend Whitehawkx's deodexed stock rom. That's what I have been running since day 1 and have had 0 issues.

New S2x koodo - cheap unlock, good rom ect..

Hi,
So just had to replace a broken s2 LTE (rogers) with a deal from Koodo, pretty nice unit, I am happy to have a brand new phone..
Seems the unlock code for it ( i am on speak out) is $20, is there any where cheaper out there ?
I am not sure if i should just use the stock JB rom, or try to do some rooting and flashing right way...
what are fellow S2xers using on this phone ?
I don't want to void my warranty, i guess i could always unroot and go back to stock..
what you guys think ? i guess i am moving over to this forum from now on, nice to meet you all.
Here is a free unlock option: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024514. If you're on JB, you might have to revert to an ICS rom. Follow the instructions and all should be fine. People say that the unlock remains after upgrading, flashing another rom afterward.
There are several custom roms in the dev thread that are based on T-mobile or Telus stock JB with various mods, tweaks and improvements. I'm currently using djmatt604's NorthernTouch (since release) - it has been very stable for me and I'm enjoying it.
Don't want to void your warranty? You might be asking the wrong questions. Hope you enjoy the T989(D) community.

How can I use international roms on t-mobile note 3?

I'm using my T-mobile Jump tomorrow to get a Note 3. Of course, the first thing I'm going to do is: open the box, plug the phone in, then root it. I don't know much about this phone since I have been using an HTC One running Cyanogen Mod. So, My question is, what's the best way to unlock the Note 3's full potential? I.e: I see many root solutions, which do you prefer and why? By rooting and installing custom recovery (TWRP, CWM, ect), am I able to use ROMS on the International Samsung Galaxy Note 3 forums, or am I limited to T-Mobile only offerings? I wouldn't consider myself a NOOB, or a Dev, just an enthusiast who wants to help other enthusiasts, please leave your advice and experiences below.

First thing you need to do is to learn about KNOX, there are dozens of threads related to KNOX so
it's easy to find.
If your new phone is a NOTE 3 and you don't read up on the KNOX issue but simply go and root the
phone your warranty might be void afterwards.
You need to read up on the official 4.3 rom & the MK2 baseband which all new NOTE 3 phones have
before you root or flash any cwm/twrp flashable zip files including roms and kernels.
Once you decide what to do about the KNOX and still want to root your phone and flash custom roms
I would highly suggest to only flash roms in the Tmobile Note 3 forum, & only flash those roms which
are based on Tmobile 4.3 Jellybean Touchwiz firmwares.
Flashing any other roms will result in loosing the ability to use free tmobile wifi calling as well as loosing
most all of the bells and whistle which makes the NOTE 3 such a great phone.
In my experience with custom roms, the Wicked & Darthstalker roms are the only 2 that I would even consider flashing.
Do a lot of reading before you decide or do anything.
Good luck!
Vision X will work just fine, give it a look see also....

Yes, I flashed the Bobcat 3.0 rom too, and it looks like a Million Dollars, best LOOKING rom I have
ever seen... BUT unless the dev who created it can get himself a N900T Tmobile Note 3 phone to
test with, we will never have wifi calling if we flash the Bobcat International Note 3 rom.
I flashed it a few hours ago and am still debating with myself if I want to keep it or not. LOL
Hello!
I have a SM-N900T Baseband N900TUVUBMI7. But unfortunately, there is no Russian System language (not possible to enable it through the setting.)
I live in Russia, in this regard, I have a couple of questions:
1. Does the Russian language in international ROM?
2. What ROM you can recommend with support Russian system language and the maximum cut off apps from T-mobile and ather (consist only samsung apps)?
This "abundance" is useless for me.
I would be very grateful for the link to the thread of this ROM.
P.S.Sorry for the poor english.
Can i Flash 4.4.2 Leaked for SM-N9005 on SM-N900T?.
Hi, can i flash roms for sm-n9005 on my t-mobile note 3?? specially the leaked 4.4.2 kit kat? Thank you.

Here is the link for Bobcatrom v3 EVO XDA thread:

Here is the direct download link for Bobcatrom v3 EVO rom:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23269279319196459
After flashing this rom on a N900T Galaxy Note 3 phone you will not have
Wifi, Bluetooth or NFC until you flash this wifi-bluetooth-nfc-FIX.zip file.
So you need to flash the rom first, set it all up so it's working properly then
go back into cwm/twrp custom recovery and flash the fix file below:
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/...en900T/Needed_Files_BT_WIFI_NFC_Flashable.zip
After you flash the fix file, wifi, bluetooth and nfc will all work fine.
Good luck!

Sure you can, you can flash the 4.4.2 kitkat but don't expect everything to work properly,
especially wifi, data and many other things in it still need fixing.
That's why it's called a "leak"..
Good luck!
Does N900T have Russian language as a system language? I intend to root the phone and install Language Enabler from the market. The app reveals hidden languages but before I proceed I'd like to make sure that the phone does have Russian (hidden in it).
Thank you.
Hi, I have similar problem as escudovod1972. Live in the UK and have the T-mobile version (SM-N900T) of the note 3. Would like to have Russian and Lithuanian languages but keep the phone as close to stock as possible.
Was wondering if I could achieve this, by flashing one of these:
"International SM-N9005 Galaxy Note 3 Stock Firmware"
Will I need to flash a T-Mobile kernel separately?
Also if this works, will I loose any functionality?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

You can flash a unified rom aka hlte (more info: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/unified-builds) like cyanogen, carbon rom(using this on my N3 Tmobile in UK just now), AOKP and many more(safe to say that all have Russian), if you like the AOSP/AOKP look. Or go for X-note or other touch wiz based unified roms.
Anyways, take a look here for more info and rom lists: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3#romList
Hope this helps

I have this rom at my site, I make all kinds of roms... made this just a while ago... just flash the rom, http://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=devices&uid=9390248398092763634
I try all the roms, before posting them, make a backup then flash the rom,,, N9005XXUENE3_hlte_Stock_Odex_Not_Rooted_NoKnox.zip
I would not advise flashing the firmware... your rooted, its safer just flashing the rom...
I just made a UK rom earlier today, using this one, I was using Singapore for the past 3 or 4 days... I like using the newest rom...

[Q] Boost - SPH-L710

I bought a new Boost branded Samsung Gs3
It was 4.1 out of the box, but when I activated the phone it forced 4.3 on me.
The phone is rooted..(did it myself!)
I also used the "DE-SAMSUNGNIZER_KNOX_REMOVAL_SCRIPT_V1.0.zip" right after rooting....
I can' t see any knox related files on the phone.
I haven't flashed any roms yet, but wanted to.. Just didn't want to hard-brick the phone.
Can I use any sprint based rom?? Do I need to be aware of anything....I would like to try this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2321867
Thanks all in advance..

You won't brick as long as you don't flash a tar file that downgrades the bootloader, since you took the OTA update. You can run almost any Sprint rom, but you will have to remove asserts from the ROM itself to keep from getting status 7 errors, due to Boost having slightly different radio(mk5). Try THIS link, it has some ROMs already modified for Boost. The second post explains how to remove asserts from ROMs not listed plus AOSP and CM based ROMs. I grabbed AOSB from Sprint forums and followed directions to remove asserts. Worked perfectly except for you can only have 3g and MMS or LTE and no MMS.

[Q] Sprint G2 ROMs HELP!

Hey Guys,
Hope you guys and gals are doing well. I wanted to know if there is rom for LG G2 (LS980) the latest build without the sprint bloatware? The current rom installed is "ZVD" but the knock code doesn't work and the software update option is missing. I got this from a friend and I am guessing he didn't flash it properly.
so I want to know the following things:
1. Can someone or has someone worked on the ZVE rom and removed the Sprint bloatware, If yes can someone please share it?
2. Is it possible to flash a D802 rom over LS980? I know noob question but still
3. I am not in USA so if I flash the rom to ZVC will I have carrier restriction? and would I be able to update it OTA to ZVD ? even if I am not in USA?
and lastly
4. Could you guys recommend a good rom which is less bloated with custom stuff and nearer to the stock international version of the phone providing the G2 experience as it should be?
Thanks.
Try cloudyfa's ROM. It will keep you with everything you need. Do not flash a d802 ROM. You will destroy your device. You can unlock it to work. Cloudyfa's ROM will allow you to use it international as you are.
...or you can just root with StumpRoot, install Titanium Backup and debloat (frost/defrost) yourself. I've always been of the opinion that the best ROM is always a stock rooted ROM. That's just my opinion/experience, no offense to any of the custom ROMs out there.
My G2 LS980 is on ZVE, i rooted with StumpRoot and froze what i considered unnecessary with Titanium Backup. Works for me just fine.
Nice to see you still around lord lugard.
Always be careful so as to not stop something that might be necessary as you can break yourself.
So very true.

New note 4 owner in need of some guidance..

Hey guys! So i now have a sprint note 4. Looking for a touchwhiz rom, prefer 6.0.1, with theme options, bluetooth, and air command. Any suggestions? Currently on stock rooted pg1, and if i coukd change the theme of my slide down tray, i woukd be satisfied, but the lack of theme options are killing me. Thanks for any info in advance!
If you only want to use "themes" option (which means that you prefer to be on "Stockish based" ROM), then I would suggest you 2 ways:
1. You can flash Dr. Ketan's Galaxy S7 Ported ROM (I have created a thread for it here). It has all the new features along with the Note capability of S-Pen.
It would require you to first downgrade to OK1 boot-loader & modem.
2. If you don't want to downgrade the boot-loader & modem, then you can try Galaxy Note 7 Ported ROM (I have created a thread for it too). However, if you are on Sprint network, It might not work for you as it is meant for users of unlocked N910P variant on GSM network.
Select as per your choice...
Else wait for some time. @carlosggb will soon be releasing a new version of his ROM that might have theme support baked in.

Full stock tar includes the bootloader and baseband.
The bootloader and baseband thread has its own purpose. Depends on what you're doing. Personally, I try to avoid those ROMs that require a different bootloader for data but may use the bootloader to revert back to an older TWRP backup. Not so much lately though.
I've been happy with Marshmallow and Wanam unofficial Xposed. PG1 has been the best on battery and fixed a Wi-Fi Calling issue for me.
But if tx_dbs_tx figures out that Note7 port with MM bootloader and kernel on latest update, I'll be all over that!
