Default Dock App Being Forgotten - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I have a Galaxy Nexus running stock JB and ever since the upgrade to JB I noticed that after a restart, the phone forgets the default app to launch when being inserted in the dock. I use a 3rd party alarm clock and upon inserting it into the dock, it asks which app to run and I select the 3rd party one and then click "always". Everything works fine until I restart the phone and then I have to repeat the process all over.
I've tried clearing the cache, default settings, uninstall/re-install etc for the alarm clock and it still persists. Any ideas?
Thanks

Apps not showing in drawer

I checked my apps in my market and can open them from there, but they don't show in my drawer. How do I get them to show up.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
what launcher? restart your launcher if its LP or something, otherwise reboot your phone and give it a good 5-7 minutes to boot fully. you should see them, this happens to me sometimes with LP.
none of your apps show? or just some missing? .. yes, would need to know launcher you're using.
I experienced this problem after installing apps to my sd card. When connecting the phone via USB, the apps obviously would not appear in my App Drawer. (Using ADWlauncher ex)

Wrong app starting when selecting Google Music

Hi all,
I hope this issue has not been raised before, did not find anything with a search.
Sometimes I have the Issue that whenever I try to open the Google Music App, another App is opened (and if that happens, it is that app consistently regardless of how often I try to open Google Music).
If it happens, then it does not matter whether I open Google Music from the App Drawer, from the dockbar, or any other shortcut on the homescreen.
The problem is only fixed when the device is restarted. I went to the apps menu in settings and killed the app that opened (in this case it was the contacts app, in another case Foursquare) when I tried to open Google Music. Google Music was not open and not in the Cache. Still, issue remained until after a restart.
I have not yet found a way to replicate this behaviour in a consistent manner.
I am on 4.0.1, ITL41F.
Any ideas / comments?
Thanks,
Moritz
I had the same thing happen on my HTC Inspire. I think it is a problem with Google Music. My GNex has only done it once or twice.

"Error occurred while loading widget. Remove widget and add again" message on rotate

"Error occurred while loading widget. Remove widget and add again" message on rotate
Hello all,
I'm getting an error message: "Error occurred while loading widget. Remove widget and add again." whenever I rotate my S 10.5.
I am stock, rooted and running default Touchwiz.
I have tried uninstalling all of the widgets I have on the homescreen (1Weather, Power Toggles, and Xperia Clock) but that didn't seem to help. I have also downloaded another launcher and it still occurred while I had that one set to default. Changing it back to Touchwiz didn't help either.
Anyone experiencing something similar or have any advice? Doesn't seem to be much online about this issue (this was the only thread I found: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...witching-between-portrait-landscape-mode.html
Thank you in advance and have a great day.
I am also having the same problem. I've tried everything except a full restore. I'm using the launcher that came installed on the tablet (touchwiz.) It doesn't really affect the performance of the tablet but it's pretty annoying. Hopefully someone will have a fix before I reset it.
Uninstall Watch on App
I have an 8.4" Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablet running the Google launcher. The error message goes away if you uninstal the Samsung app WatchOn. Uninstalling should be no problem, it is not embedded Samsung bloatware that is impossible to get rid of.
I'm having the same issue out of the blue. Running stock without root. I read somewhere it's the Watch On app but I disabled mine and it's still happening.

Strangest thing occurred

It first started with doing an update all to all apps in the google play store. I clicked on update all then the google play store crashed. I tried to open the application, but kept saying google play store keeps stopping. I then cleared data and cache from settings and that still didn't work. I then rebooted into Safe mode to see if there where any rogue apps. Found the issue then rebooted. Upon rebooting. My settings all went to default. This included my hex builds being completely wiped, default keyboard was changed to Samsung, wallpapers went to the default, my launcher was set back to ONE UI ( currently use nova ). This really isn't a big issue since it took me less than 5 minutes to bring everything back to normal. Is there any logical reason to why this would happen? Did Safe mode trigger something?
It is the incompatibility between some of the hex build(a) and latest updates. You now know how to recover from such occurence
3rd party launchers
Hyperion boot looped my Note 10+ twice, full reloads.
Prior to that it was less than stable... trashware
The native Samsung launcher is faster and stable than any of the 3rd party launchers I tried including Nova.
One UI is AOK.
No more crashes or boot loops... no more 3rd party launchers for me.
The only thing that annoys me is the white icon lettering. Everything else I can mod with the Good Lock apks and such; stable, low resource usage and the work/look great.

What was the original issue? Without knowing that it is kind of hard to guess what would have caused everything else.

It was an app called BeeTv

I think it was safe mode that caused the other "problem." I booted my Verizon Note 10+ 5G into safe mode, then rebooted back to normal. I use Microsoft Launcher (Preview) and when it rebooted it was set to OneUI. I opened up Microsoft Launcher and set that as default and everything was back to normal.
Since this is the first time I booted into safe mode on my phone, I can't tell if that is normal or not.
P.S. There were a few other things I had to fix after rebooting into normal mode. It reset the defaults to a few other things like the default browser and dialer.
