Google Now on CM10 - Weather card not accurate - LG Nitro HD

So I'm really liking the concept of Google now and I have seen a few of the features in action already.
But, I've noticed that the weather card is always showing that the temperature is about 10 to 20 (sometimes even 30) degrees cooler than it actually is. For example, my old fashioned thermometer outside says 97 degrees, the sign at the bank says 96, and WeatherBug says 98. But, Google Now is telling me that it's 82 degrees.
I realize that Google now is very young and some parts are still beta. I just want to see if anybody else is having this problem and if anybody has a solution.

[Q] HTC Desire HD Compass unstable

Even if I put the phone on the level surface, the compass is very unstable, value changes very quickly. This is very annoying using streets view (compass mode) in Google Maps or Google Sky Map - if the phone is horizontally, the map rotates both directions very fast. Any fix for this?
I'd think that the sensitivity is set too high, I don't think this is something you can change from within Google Maps.
Have you tried downloading a compass app from the Market and seeing if the results are them same? Most apps will have some settings you can change to see where the problem lies.
Yes, I've tried... Same problem in Ulysse Gizmos - pitch and roll are very unstable
Just downloaded that app, the compass works fine, but my pitch and roll are way off. Not quite fluctuating wildly, but very inaccurate.
Have you tried calibrating the compass by waving it in a figure of 8 horizontally.
Of course I did but is the same
I have exactly the same. But annoyingly I also have that it places me consistently 10 to 40 meters off.......
Really annoying! If anyone has a solution please let me know!

Maps vs. Battery

Hi all!
Kinda noticed my battery draining pretty quickly over the past couple of days and was wondering why.
So, I see something "different" or I've not really noticed before in Better Battery Stats:
I'd put a picture here but for the life of me can't seem to figure out how to do it with Tapatalk OR from my PC. I only seem to be able to add "links" or URL's. Is there something I'm missing there.
Here's what I'm seeing as my biggest Partial Wakelock in BBS:
SignalCollector.ScannerThread
com.google.android.apps.maps.Maps
5 m 37 s (337 s) Count: 56 21.3%
And, that was being off the charger for just a very short time.
Any ideas what that is and what it's doing?
BTW...on CNA 3.3.1 toro; I haven't added any new apps recently.
(I posted this on Codename's forum but also wanted to get more "eyes", interaction, and opinions on what this is.)
Thanks!
Do you have Google Now activated? That would be one cause of the wakeups. I use the app AutoStarts because even with latitude disabled, the application will always start itself back up for no reason.
For me, i just disabled Google Maps when I'm not using it
I'd really to know what that thing is doing as well. It's purpose?
Sent from my gNex
I had NetworkLocationLocator going crazy doing tens of thousands of wakelocks. Uninstalling Google Maps fixed it. Not sure what Google is doing with Maps these days, but it's pretty uncool, given various problems people are having with it and wakelocks...

Stock weather app to Celsius

Who know is it possible to change stock weather app from farringate to Celsius?
having the same issue any ideas?
For me, the problem solved itself yesterday, it is now correctly displaying temps in Celsius degrees and wind speed in km/h and the app messages (checking weather conditions etc) are in my system language (Italian) so it seems that it's just a server-side issue that it takes some time to be ready for everybody.
Hmm, still Fahrenheit on mine and has been since I first set it up (around 2 months now). My handset is a Meizu M2 Note, so not sure if that's causing the problem
Still the same for me can't change it
Check the settings in Google Now. That's where I changed mine.

Temp showing Celsius

Hey everyone,
Just got a Moto 360 the other day and am using it with my iPhone (I did update the watch to the latest firmware).
One thing that is driving me nuts is the weather - if I swipe left and choose weather it shows me the temp in Celsius. If I use the Google Now card it is in Fahrenheit. My settings say Fahrenheit. Does anyone know if there's another hidden setting somewhere, maybe even in my Google profile, that is causing the one temp reading to show Celsius?
Thanks
I have the same problem. Someone told me it was the face you use, but ill apply one that had Fahrenheit in the preview and it shows Celsius when I load it. I have the settings set the same as well so I don't understand why all my faces I use show Celsius.

Google Maps no longer shows pictures and ratings of places on OP3

Dear XDA professionals,
Since the latest update to Android 7 (OxygenOS 4.0.3) Google Maps no longer shows ratings and pictures of places. Usually, when you click on a place (restaurant etc.) and drag up the blue bar, the top third of the screen would be filled with pictures (that can be swiped to the left) and ratings as well as comments are shown. A that disappeared in my maps. Other phones (Android and iPhone) for the same places still show pictures and ratings.
I also changed some settings to optimize battery performance because my battery drained extremely quickly after the update (around 10h in airplane mode without using the phone), so the reason might not be the update itself but one of the settings I changed.
Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this? Thanks for your help!
