I'm giving the CM10/SGT7 rom a whirl at the moment. I've got the status bar set to Tablet mode (Settings > System > Status Bar >> Tablet Mode) but the status bar is all that changes. Settings menu, Nova settings menu, and Youtube are all in phone mode instead of tablet mode. Is there an easy fix for this or is it just a quirk of the rom?
You mean landscape it works fine maybe you ticked or unticked one of the rotation settings??
I think he means the whole UK being tablet optimized...I think jandycane it tablet optimized

Ice Cold 8.2 or even 8.3
in system settings> display check box for dual pane view
in system setting> rom control> General UI> LCD Density set to 128 dpi (custom to see bottom bar) (make sure you follow all steps there ex. reboot, clear market data, open market)
in system settings> display> Font size to Huge or Large (your preference)
Or try use the Nova launcher..

There used to be issues with phone.apk not working after switching to a lower dpi seeing.
Has that been solved?
If so, do you know what was the reason?
I don't think that Google updated their phone apk, did they?

Hi all,
Normally I never use my tablet in landscape mode (seeing how websites mostly are longer than they are wide) but recently I bought a bluetooth keyboard (if anyone is wondering a logitech k810, which is amazing).
One thing which I can't seem to figure out is the use of the landscape mode at the homescreen and app drawer (all other applications don't make a problem out of it).
The what's what:
- Nexus 7, 2013 edition
- stock, rooted
- Nova launcher prime
Anyone an idea whether this is just not possible or whether I am forgetting a check box somewhere?
Thanks!

seems your nova settings. Try to go into nova settings, then look and feel, and then set screen orientation to auto.
Has to be Nova. My stock 4.4 rotate works fine like always.

Once I changed the "default" to autorotate it is rotating like a champ!
Thanks!
Is there an app that allows direct access to one of the developer options so I can easily toggle it? I'm running stock, unrooted.
Here's the issue: Just upgraded to 4.3, and there's a bug that resets the Transition Animation Scale back to 1x whenever you run the Camera app. Right now I have to do Settings > More > Developer Options > scroll down to Transition Animation Scale > set to None > exit. PIA every time I use the Camera.
What I'd like is to have a script that runs the Camera app and then on exit automatically resets the animation option. Short of that I'd settle for a direct link to the option setting.
Any help appreciated.

Good thought. I am actually using Nova. Just looked through all the available Activity links but don't see direct access to the specific option I need to toggle.
I've also installed the Developer Options app, which does allow one click access to the Dev Options, so that's better than drilling down through Settings, etc.
How to use the auto scroll function of Fire phone while reading e-books,do we have to download some special app other than adobe reader for activating auto scroll function, the auto scroll function is working perfectly in the silk browser.
Auto scroll works ok with kindle same as silk. But third party readers will need a separate app. There are some in the market but not fire specific.
How to activate it on kindle?

How to activate it on kindle,it's not working for my fire phone on kindle, where to activate auto scroll for e books.
Go into settings by touching a page anywhere then the font symbol. Choose scroll option. Scroll option must be selected in display settings too.
Thanks

Okay Thankyou so much
I'm on stock ROM, no root or anything. When I am on multi window mode, the app on the left (landscape mode) or top (portrait) lags. This happens to any app. And I know the tablet can run that app because if I'm not on multi window (just running one app full screen), I don't see any lags. Does this happens to everybody else? Are there ROMs out there that has a fix for this?
It is an issue from the recent updates, I got it too.
You may go to developer settings > disable HW overlays
However this setting will be disabled every time after a reboot.
