Woha! I thought about it too today. That would be great!
I mean, didn't samsung add the .apk in the official SGS2 ics release? Or maybe it has the Google Music app?
Thanks anyways
I'm also interested in this. I'm personally using PowerAmp, but I'd like an alternative for my friends who are also on SGS ICS roms and don't want to pay for a music player.
Can samsung ics apks be installed on galaxy nexus, like allshare etc. ?
I wanna know too :/ ill love ti have allshare

No. You have to have TouchWiz...
I want to start watching movies/tv shows on my Galaxy Nexus.
What is the best video format?
I see a lot of .mp4's are x264... is that x264 good?
Cheers,
I believe MP4 H.264 is best in the native video player would be best battery wise, as it is CPU/GPU supported not done in software like DIVX/XVID AVIs wit 3rd party apps
You could try this too, it plays just about everything, just change decoder settings to sw instead hw.

Mx player looks great! That is what i really expected...to just be able to throw a movie from pc to nexus without converting. I'm looking forward to trying one tonight. Do you know if there has to be some free space on the phone for it to be able to decode? After, are there two files, the original and the decoded?
Thanks a lot for sharing.
Thanks, using my Gucci Nexus on XDA premium

There is not 2 files after it decodes I don't believe u need extra space for it to decode it just does in the app itself I can see the files in the gallery but they only play using mx

I guess I should also say I'm not positive it will play everything. My buddy threw transformers 3 and the new planet of the apes on my phone, told me to download mx and he swears by it. So if does not play right away I would just mess with the decoder settings a little.

Hi guys. Ive been looking everywhere for the original music apk from the stock rom from the t989. Ive searched and searched on the and have found nothing but moded music apps. My tmobile t989 originally was runnin on stock rom with ics. Im running the jedi mind trick X rom which is great but the original music apk is not there anymore. All that is there is the google play music apk and im not found of the walkman music or Apollo music apps. Any help would be great. Thanks everyone who stopped by and took a look
You should be able find it in a stock rom flashable zip. Just open the archive and look in system/app. I would post it, but I don't have a stock rom on my sdcard. My phone hasn't seen stock almost since I received it.

I've always found the stock TW music app to be deplorable. Have you looked at Power Amp? It's universally considered one of, if not the, best music players on Android.

You can use the S3 Player on Jedimind Trick, Will test it now on Jellybean.
Are you just looking for a good music player or stock player?

Edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23338273 try here and make sure you use the older version (2.3.2). The newer version will cause you bootloops. I'm running unofficial slim and that's my player of choice with the acid mod.

I have tried changing the font on Android 4.3 via Rom Toolbox and I just get stuck in a bootloop. Is it happening to anyone else? Is there a new Method to Installing Fonts on 4.3 as Opposed to 4.2.2 cause I never got bootloops using it.
Also, I'm running Cyanogenmod 10.2
Thanks in Advance.
This is a great question actually, made me forget to change mine as well. I believe they can be pushed into system, I'll double check and post back!

The guys in the VanirAOSP thread are using a free app in the PlayStore to change fonts. Its somewhere in the last few pages of the thread.

I use some other apps like 'ifonts' downloaded from play store to change fonts for 4.3.
Somehow ROM toolbox doesn't work anymore
