volume down + power = screenshot
You can't stock, however, there's this paid app called camera zoom fx, which has that feature.... if you are desperate

also, the latest aokp ROM has that feature. The jelly bean version is nightly but quite stable. Here's the link if you're interested: http://androtransfer.com/?developer=AOKP&folder=maguro

^incorrect the first answer is it. All Galaxy Nexus phones take a screen shot by pressing volume down and power button at the same time. Custom roms offer a feature to add it to the power menu.

I thought the OP was asking how to take camera photos with volume button. You know, just like using camera button. If he was talking about screenshot, my bad

I know...I hate that **** too...anyways one way is installing Volume Control+ from the store (free version) and using the volume lock function which locks ur volume setting for media/system/ring...etc. Try it out. Hope it works for u.

What ROM are you on?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
I don't even know anymore. I used to use bombardier and the eagles blood one then I tried some ics one that was slow, so I went back to one of the previous two. how do you check? anyway, I found "music volume EQ" to work.

I was wondering if there is a video recording app that will allow you to pause while recording and then resume recording. This saves a lot of trouble with editing afterward. I think the G Note II camera does this, but I'm not having any luck finding an apk for it or a flashable zip. Any advice is much appreciated.

I've tried a bunch of root and non root screenshot apps and all of them take screenshots but all I get is a black picture. What could be the problem?
Thanks!

Pres Vol down + Power at the same time.
What does that do, and when do I do it while taking a screenshot? It's not taking the screenshot that's the problem, it's something to do with saving I think.
