Two different battery readings - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

So I just flashed the sonic freegs3 5 rom with zav kernel and also flashed jelly bomb domination theme 10.
The battery icon in the status bar shows a different number than in settings.

Does the battery k the status bar go down by 1% increments? Maybe that battery mod goes by 5%

i believe i just saw it go from 90 to 85 in the status bar. weird.

either way, the battery percentage should match up on both at the given intervals .. 100 95 90 85 80 etc. and they dont.

[Q] Fix for incorrect display % in battery usage stats?

Is there a fix for the underestimated display use of battery? It's not a huge deal, but it's annoying.

Yes flash cm7 or miui.
Touchwiz battery stats are screwed over.. samsprint messed them up otherwise no there's not a real solution.

Thanks, but I prefer to stay on TW.
I'm hoping there's a apk/file I can edit. I just need someone to point me in the right direction so I can poke through the right classes.dex.

No. That is a Samsung issue. What Android System is displaying is basically every use of your phone. Any wakelock, display on, boot up, sync, anything needing an android driver, even charging because it has a script that runs. So Samsung believes this to be correct. Like a computer, Windows and it's drivers run 85% of the time versus the programs using processor power.
ICS ports and AOSP ROMs have redefined that to use other than those things above. The only stats you really need is display on time and percentage of deep sleep from CPUSpy for a given percentage of battery.

Background Battery Drain - CM9

I'm using the CM9 Endeavor Unleashed 017.
I just noticed that I'm having very heavy battery drain in the background. I had the phone at 100% and by the morning it was 41%. It didn't even have a SIM card in it.

It this an error with the ROM? Or is it my hardware?
Thanks as always!

Show Download % in notification bar - HOW?

When downloading things all I get is the downloading arrow. Is there a way to get a download % as the icon? Hell, even if it was 10,20,30 etc.
Just dislike seeing it's downloading and dont know if it's 15% or 85% without checking.
Thanks!
sorry bro...as far as I know there is no way..

If you use Dolphin Browser it tells you. It even tells you the download speed.
Damn.
I will checkout that Dolphin.
On JB, it won't tell %, but shows you a bar showing how much is downloaded
Here is a screen shot of CM10 STABLE. When you start downloading you can see a % bar.. Downloading from Chrome...

Oh I have that. I mean a regular status bar % like the battery and clock and 4g, except on the left side.

If you like it, I made a simple How To on my blog.
You should know the basics of UCCW to get going, if it doesn't work out just contact me.
Why use this setup?
- It's clean
- It's smooth
- It shows notifications
- You can theme it to your likes, use your own pictures.
- Set up as you like
- For people want to get rid of the status bar, this is a must have.
Battery log:
Battery drained just 24% in 9.25 hours
(just make sure to soft reset your device after setup).
