|| ROM || Perfect Android || Simple, Stable, and Bugless - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Perfect Android is a redistribution of the Android Open Source Project and Google software code that I have lightly modified to make as a daily driver for me and those people who are like myself and want a "clean", "pure google android experience". This project doesn't have and won't focus on adding a ton of features and mods but instead focus on stability, and reliability so yes basically this is a stock ROM my only efforts will be to make it run better, and be more polished, and complete.

If you have an error or something pops up I ask that before you post about it please make sure that you are running the ROM as provided. I cannot troubleshoot anything that is related to using other kernels, mods, or themes.
This ROM is basically like a stock rom of jelly bean so there is not a need for screen shots ........
Always remember that XDA started out as a great place and will remain a great place as long as we are great to each other anything used in this ROM is available upon request and feel free to use this as a base rom for any other project my ROM is un-branded just give me some mention .......
WANT TO CUSTOMIZE THIS ROM READ THIS:
Like the ROM and want to add or remove anything or customize for yourself use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246 DSIXDA's Kitchen. Its a great kitchen for customizing prebuilt ROMs

Haven't flashed yet. About to, though. Gotta edit my software key images into the ROM first. What did you change about the dialer? I guess I'll see in a minute.

Thanks dude.

thank you so much for the great job

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Downloading now.

I've been running for about an hour now and so far it's flawless. I flashed right over top of Pure AOSP with a dalvik wipe before hand. Also flashed the low rider GApps and the latest Franco nightly kernel before first boot. Excellent work and thank you.

I had just started using Franco nightly kernel today, and now have flashed the Perfect AOSP. What benefits do you think there are to flashing Franco's kernel, as opposed to using what is default with this ROM? Trying to decide if I should put Franco back on or not.

As thus is purely aosp that means no theme manager correct??

There's nothing wrong with the ROMs built in kernel, but I prefer all the options in Franco's kernal app. He has made a lot of optimizations. I like to tweak the colors and brightness. Also, Franco has made some improvements to WiFi. There are also options to overclock if you're into that sort of thing, but personally I think everything runs quick and smooth at stock frequencies on this ROM.

CyanogenMod 10 Galaxy Nexus Nightlies? Performance?

Hey guys, an xda n00b here,
I really want CyanogenMod 10 for my Nexus, (not asking for ETA), but I don't have time to keep up with instabilities, etc. Does flashing the nightly every day take time? Or is it really easy?
How is the performance and battery life of CM10 over stock?
Yep, that's basically it.
Thanks in advance
-Sahil
The CM team focuses on stability.
If an average user wants a Rom to flash literally once and never have to flash again...I'd flash CM10.
You'll end up with very very few bugs.
As far as installing, check post 2 of the guide linked in my sig if this process is new to you.
And updating nightlies doesn't take much time, no.
The general custom if you're already on a CM nightly would be to download/flash/wipe cache. Users generally don't wipe data often with the CM nightlies...but it's a good idea to do it occasionally, at least.
CM 10 is not stable yet. If I were you I would stick with stock rom until CM10 gets stable version or at least RC version.
Personally, I'm using AOKP JB Build 1 and franco.Kernel Milestone 5. It's stable, fast, great battery life and it's my daily driver now.

So even if its not stable yet, you think I should flash it?
As of 24-8 its stable, don't know what issues that guy having but I'm using it and it works just fine. Just remember to clean wipe the first time you flash cm10.
Also don't have to flash daily, I do it weekly or when major update is done. I check change log to see what has been updated weekly.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Nightly builds are daily compiled builds from source. This version therefore has the latest bleeding edge features & tweaks, but it is also the mostly likely to have bugs and issues. This version is not for general use.

Hi there.
Just to let you know that I went from the Foxhound ROM over to CM10 (build from the 24th) and I tell you how good this ROM is.. no stability issues so far.
3g, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc all seems to be working well.
Just testing the battery life at the moment and switch the performance to On Demand (preference). Also not laggy like the previous ROM with scrolling, unlock and typing. Screen transitions seems quick.. All that with the CPU running at stock 1.2ghz (old ROM = 1.35).
Cheers.

CM 10 is the best that happened to my nexus
Question for everyone: Where can I find the changelog of CM10 for Galaxy Nexus Nightlies?
Just last week I installed the CM 10 nightlies on my GSM nexus and to my surprise its extremely stable. I haven't seen it crash even once and now I'm hooked on updating it daily (won't recommend to everyone). But the nightlies are very stable, daily updated.
Compared to the stock ROM CM 10 adds so many features that I wanted. Things like having Reboot, Screenshot in the power options. Having power buttons in the drop down menu (WiFi, GPS, syncing etc. instead of only on the home screen), adding app shortcuts to screen lock etc.
Overall its way better than the stock rom but doesn't make you go away from what you're used to. Jelly Bean is fast and awesome.
Good luck,
Nitin

Issues shouldn't arise until 1836MHz, based on how the TMO turn out is.
going to up another one while i wait for VZW users to confirm the defconfig build is a go.
changes on next build is partial config optimization, basedon how things between all the sgs3 seem to work, it should work, but i'll piece it out anyway, just to play it save.

That's what I'm running ALPHA 4 with, no problems so far.
So with the alpha 2, I lost about 400 on quadrants, and with alpha 4, I lost about 700, but my 2D and 3D scores doubled from what they were on the stock kernel, so I'm happy.
Well alpha 4 isn't booting for me at all on jb domination 5.0. Going to see if alpha 2 boots

JB as in jelly bomb of course.
Anyway.....I finally got alpha 4 to boot on "Jelly Bomb Domination 5.0 " I had to use a kernel cleaning script to fully wipe the old kernel out before installing. Figured this out after exactly10 attempts.
Confirmed working:
Wifi
Blue Tooth
GPS locks quick
Is there anything else besides performance/battery you'd want us to report?
Edit: Notice the auto brightness isn't really effective. I'm in a super dim area(my living room) and I just noticed the screen isn't lighting up as it normally would.

Agreed :good:
I just done some benchmark tests and they are pretty good in terms stock or ktoonsez kernel ( I've tried few configs about KT, but nothing like this one ) So the results are:
Quadrant: 6653
AnTuTu: 10469
Vellamo: Metal 627, HTML5 1889
20mins (on screen) doing benchmarks 5% battery
EDIT: @eaglerazor123 can you add date to the topic? It is easier to check for newer versions
And to ask again is it possible to ON the Fast Charging? In the very first post you say it is off by default so it means it can be enabled?

AK Kernel Diamond Edition v33 and Slim Bean. I pretty much crack-flashed my way through official Vanir nightlies, Atom, Commotio, unofficial Xylon and PA in the past two weeks. Leankernel is good, maybe one of my favorites that I have used. On rootz the community is awesome though its quiet now. I think it's a good choice.

Thanks. Trying it now.
As my sig states, I'm running JellyBro CM10.1 nightlies (I update every week or so) and AK Kernel. I'm currently on AK Diamond v33. So far, it seems that Dynamic FSync is helping performance, though I need to let the phone get some longer uptime to be certain.
I'm currently running Carbon 1.6 with AK's Diamond kernel. Incredibly smooth even while underclocked. Not to mention I generally get pretty darn good battery life with Carbon. Sometimes up to 4.5 hours of screen on time with a 2200mah battery.
Where exactly can I find AK kernel? This is such a nooby question I just can't seem to find it

[ROM][Linaro+Bionic+GCC4.8] Something Fast 6/28/2013(FIXED)

Something Fast is based on Vanir source(always latest). Linaro and Bionic optimizations included. I have built this ROM because I was sick of trying to find the "perfect" ROM. Most ROM's have way too many features and are bloated as hell-not in the traditional sense, but bloated with features. That is why I have removed such things as PIE. I don't use it, so why have it in my ROM? Ever hear of the KISS philosophy? Google it. This is my personal ROM that I felt like sharing because it runs so damn beautiful! Again, this is my personal ROM so don't expect updates often. I will update the thread when I feel I need to update my phone. Could be 2 days, could be a month. Also, don't expect support. I will try my best to help with issues, but don't expect much as I work all the time and have a life. It is very much a work in progress, but if you feel you can do it better, please do. If you want a feature, just say something. Not that I'll add it, but I'll consider it. Don't like the ROM? Good! Move on to something else. Feel free to talk about anything here, I could care less. Just follow XDA rules. Now, let the trolling begin!
Again, 99% of the credit goes to Vanir. I simply kanged it, removed some stuffs, added a few personal tweaks, and built it.
A BIG thank you to MBQ_ for his generosity and awesomeness for allowing me to host my builds on his server! Be sure to hit his thanks button!
Why Vanir?
I have chosen to use Vanir source as it has been the most stable, best optimized, and has everything I want.

Could I get the ak Ceylon 801 from you? Wished I kept all the releases. That was a great kernel release.

User thoughts = I'm on my second day with this and it's pure smooth buttery aperaping love.
*edit* only thing missing is a rapedape themed boot animation. Hopefully one of the more savvy artists out there can hook us up

I actually thought about that... But I am rather picky when it comes to boot animations. Besides, I like the old one If anyone is willing to make one, go for it!
How you guys liking the ROM?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Loving the ROM.... for some reason... Bootanimation wise....i see something like a spoof on the old Grape Ape cartoon... I'll see what kind of gif i can find on my days off
Add an option in Settings to darken the layouts and this ROM will be perfect. This and PD's ATOM ROM are the 2 best ROMs in my opinion.
