Recently I have switched back to my evo because my GS3 broke (Don't ask). After seeing the One X benchmarks and my benchmarks I think I can do better. So if anybody knows any really good kernels ,mods, or scripts please reply.

I was using Masons SBC Kernel along with Digital Karma's gorgeous simplicity Rom. Fastest I got on quadrant standard was 3500 before they updated Quadrant. After the update I was getting 800 or so.
My GSIII I get 4900
Just find a Rom that you can call your own and stick with it. Then, just start tweaking the *H*T out of it, that is my only advice. Hope I helped.
I didnt know digitalkarma had simplicity rom if im not mistaken mbq has simplicity rom.

I was just telling the OP member that Digital Karma's Rom is very simple. I wasn't saying it was called simplicity, because I know what its called (Jackpot).
Thanks for the concern though.

Hey I'm using the ultimate droid rom for the g2. And it must have got discontinued because I xant find it anywhere. So I'm looking for a replacement rom. Looking for vanilla, no sense (ew). And something with a good kernal maybe the 1.8 or 1.9OC? Anyways looking for better preformance and not a downgrade from what I'm using.

http://www.blackdroidmod.com/
I left ud for pyromod. The dev can be a **** though(yeah I said it) . But now I'm on the gingerbread leak for the g2 and perfect after adding a few things. Pyro is good, xboarders stuff is good too, stock gingerbread rocks.
You are aware that xda isn't the only place in the world to get roms right? If you used this crazy new invention called google you wouldn't of even made the discontinued statement

It's got some different options, not sure if it's better than CM7 though. I would wholeheartedly recommend meXdroid or Pyromod here; both are CM7 variants that have great themes with some tweaks to CM7's base. Users of UD would probably feel right at home with either.
Guess I should try this Pyro mod

Also your not going to find any rom comming with a 1.8ghz standard. Thats for advanced users and you need to make it work yourself so you dont fry your phone. I would recomend you stick to 1.5ghz tops. You wont notice any difference anyway unless your trying to compete with quad/linepack scores....

Can anyone give me a recommendation of a different rom and their thoughts about it? If you have time, could you also provide a brief description of the features provided in the rom?

Just a thought, why don't you give to the developement section and have a look at all the roms on offer. Many people comment on them so if you bother reading the comments you'll see any pros/cons.

Have you calibrated your battery/wiped battery stats after flashing that rom?
I'll recommend MIUI Osimood, it's bit different, but it works and is great. Just backup your current rom and get flashing, and try out different roms.

I am a huge CM fan. I have used it on 3 phones now and it acts differently on each. But the CM7 stable (7.0.3) for vision is the best so far with regards to stability and battery life. I used the latest bell radio and didnt automatch RILs. I can get more than a full days with HEAVY use of the phone.
This is my best combo (rom/phone) so far. I still prefered the Milestone build quality...but battery life and RAM sucked the life out of it. Especially with CM.

I am using the freshly released Virtous Sense 2.0.0. Why? Because it's based on the recently published original ROM for the HTC Desire Z / G2: 2.42.405.2
So it's native to the G2/Desire Z and not a port, which I consider important regarding stability etc. Especially since the Desire Z with it's hardware keyboard is definitely an exotic variant in the realm of the droids...
What I also like about the Virtuous Sense MOD:
- Slightly overclocking/underclocking is included in the kernel, which makes it a smoother experience while saving power when the screen is turned off.
- You still have the original HTC Sense 2.1 experience
- little things like the battery icon are enhanced (you get an exact percentage) and can also be configured individually if wanted

any of the sense 3.5 roms are great.
MIUI doesn't look bad.. Try a few themes there are some great ones.
I'm pretty certain that MIUI is the easiest rom for customization (using the theme app).
You can change pretty much every aspect so it can't just "look bad".
Ok that's the thing I've tried a bunch of different themes and I just don't like miui anymore. Probably the iPod made me sick of it. Now which sense roms we talking here? Can I get some links?

was never a big muiui fan because of the iphone feel it kinda had and sense roms are awesome for stability but just didnt like any of the roms that people came out with....up until tonight cm7 was my clear cut #1 choice but had an issue so id say evo deck or cyanogen paired with tiamat for the tier rom kernel experience...and with sense tho ive found some with crazy add ons
try some of these the guy has horrible reviews and spelling but the roms are sick to try
and they have a cyanogen ics rom

Here are the top six roms in MY opinion that are the best...
1.)StarskyROM (The one nobody talks about, but offers the BEST performance, in exchange for a couple bugs, that absolutely relate nothing to user-experience-quality. Pretty Stock, balls to the wall speed, not bad battery)
2.) LegendaryRom
3.)ACS ICS (Dont think its being updated anymore, Marcusant created MarcusantRom, listed below, which is basically the same thing as ACS ICS)
4.)SleeperRom (Amazing battery life)
5.)MarcusantRom (Incredibly Stable, Fast, Amazing Looks)
6.).....no need to list beyond this point, its all a matter of personal preference.....

I have not had very good luck with the latest Samurai kernels. I get horrendous lag. I believe this was even acknowledged by the developer, unless im mistaken and a new release has become available recently.
I had some issues as well, but last night 3.3.0 in 3 flavors came out.
So far I am very pleased, other seem to be as well.

Kenny is right. To paraphrase- "the phone chooses the ROM"
(I've tried them all except Random's, and they're all great. Marcusant's was probably my fave. On CleanGB now with Travis' new Minimalistic Black theme and loving it. Try new Shadow Kernel, its the bomb)

What kind of quadrant score do you get with the shadow kernel on stock settings? I'm running starskrom, flashed the shadow kernel, and now I'm getting 250 less of a score on quadrant. I've gerard some people saying they are getting 3000 or more. That not possible without overclocking right?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
That is correct. You need to OC to get that score. Quadrant is crap and can be easily spoofed. It does just some number crunching and a few video routines. The best judge of performance is how it works and feels for you. If you are hung up on whose benchmark is bigger, stick to smartbench 2010.

Kenny is right- to paraphrase, "quadrant size doesn't matter".
Or whatever. I just judge by eye- am I lagging? Sticking? Randomly rebooting? My current setup has been flawless. But I am a charter member of "Flashaholics Anonymous" and CK23 is getting ready to drop Serenity 1.1.1, so I have a feeling a Nand backup and new flash is coming at me.
