Case manufacturers...

Whats the deal with company's like Otterbox, RearthUSA, SGP Store and not even attempting to make cases for this phone. It's a bit aggravating looking at their selection of cases for the AT&T version of our phone.
I have used Ringke and SGP cases on almost every phone I have owned recently and would really like to have another one. If any of you have used these case types before could you recommend an alternative that you have found searching around? I spend many hours looking around and just keep seeing the same old stuff nothing new.

On 2nd though I really don't know. I just wish we had a selection like the iPhone does

It's the same way with Verizon's gnex. The GSM version so far has all the best cases

It may be because GSM is a lot more popular (US and abroad) rather than CDMA. Most of these case manufacturers are also based in Europe and such, so they have access to those phones first... At least that's what the little voice in my head tells me.

I have this one in white and gray (dont think those colors are available anymore though) and i absolutely love it! It fits perfectly, is super easy to take on and off, and its not incredibly thick. Has a kickstand on the back as well.

The white isn't on the website, but I just ordered one off amazon about a week and a half ago in white and grey and it came in a sprint box just as ordered. The pink one I tried to find for my sister was actually the one that I couldn't find, despite it being on the website.

It all comes down to money. Engineering a new case and having molds made is extremely expensive, plus you have other manufacturing costs as well. If a company doesn't think they can sell enough cases to make a profit, they aren't going to make cases for that phone. Obviously several if the case manufacturers have decided the money just isn't there with the E4GT, so they aren't making cases for it.

Yeah I ended up getting red and blue tpu (clearish) cases becauss the white is so sexy...
I got a red theme on it and I love it

But yea tpu cases are my bread and butter for now.. But I thought the same Thing about the otterbox I was kinda pissed when I found out. I would have bought the ballistic which is awesome but I really want it back and white so I'm thinking Bout getting the pop case instead

I really don't think this phone should have a case because its so slim but I got the incipio feather case and I drop it all the time and it protects most of the phone.

go ballistic or go home sorry i had a ballistic case on my evo 3d before i switched over to this phone and i will tell you that case stood up to a 9000 pound forklift the only this that broke on the evo 3d was the screen other than that the phone was still perfect

D30 Tmobile Case

depends on what you're looking for. If you want something slim that doesn't add a lot of bulk the Cimo S line cases are good way to go but I'd only get the solid color ones like black or white unless you like the clear type. They're solid plastic on the back but tpu on the sides and they come in several colors if you check the seller's store.

Using the case and holster from Seidio. Works well, plus the kickstand is cool for when I'm at work. Don't use the holster much, but have it if I need it.

I have the diztronic in matte black, great case it's very slim which I like. I have dropped my phone a few times and it protected it well.

Thanks! That's exactly what I did actually I have it around the edges too
For the Guy who asked why I'm using GB, put it this way...I've already run some of the ics roms and while they're cool to me, I still prefer GB. That's just how its going to be for a while until I feel like moving on

I'm glad you like it because I did the white carbon full body from ghost armor on my white sgs2 and nearly had a heart failure when I went to pick it up 20 minutes later. Had them take it off right there and then and did the matte full body. I just thought it looked hideous. The dude thought he would get crafty and he cut a square where the "S" is on the battery cover, so it could be seen. He goes "we don't have pre cut ones like the iphone has for the apple but I thought I would try it". I nearly died.... Anyway... Glad you like it yours though.

Spigen made my day!!!

I was excited to get my curved crystal protector in the mail opened my mailbox and it was a pretty big box to just have a screen protector in it. Open it up and this greeted me.

I own the case and the packaging is definitely more premium than the modello lol. If it was sent in a simple package I'm sure they could charge $5 and still come out with a profit.

The screen protector rocks it was easy to install compared to any other I've done and screwed up! At first there where a few spots that I was sceptical about but they have worked them selves out over the last 2 hours(adhesive had to dry) I would really say this is a superior product. I'm really glad I waited. The screen felt hard to move your finger across at first now it is as smooth as butter. Its really hard to tell there is even a screen protector on the phone it is very clear. My only complaint is that other does hold finger prints. I love it I give it 5 stars!!!

I agree the protector felt "sticky" for the first day or so. I was worried that would be permanent. Now, as you say, it's smooth as butter. While it does hold fingerprints, I find it easy to clean. I'm pleased with mine.

My only problem has been the curves, as you would expect. While this is MUCH better than anything else I have tried, there just does not seem to be enough "stick" at the edges and the air keeps creeping in. Having said that, it's not getting as far as the screens active area.
I'll give it 8/10. Most only get 6 or lower.
Martin Fields have been my 9/10s in the past but they have really dropped the ball with the SGS3.. They are barely 5/10s on the SGS3.

Thia is an awesome screen protector. Used both sp on original phone and the replacement and it took one try each. Im usually one who ends up ruining 2/3 protectors and going into mad rage and making up curses....but this was so easy and looks like its not even there. If your squegee the outer layer too much u will get more orange peel effect than not so try to take the bubbles out in least amt of scrapes...but it won't be noticable unless you're looking for it and when the screen is off which is no biggie. Clear as hell and so nice...sgp screen protectors win again....this is my second phone with it. And I am pleased

Damn just got a seido surface case and put it on and the edge peeled up and made the screen protector bubble up I guess I could replace it with the second protector but maybe I should wait until this one gets worse guess ill go back to my spigen modello case.

Are Leather Pouches Just For Ladies Purses?

i do not want to use a traditional case on my s3. i love the look and feel of the slim phone but i am worried about getting scratches on it in my pocket. my question about leather pouches is this: is this for ladies purses or do men use these too? can't have my wife making fun of me

There is nothing wrong with a guy using a leather case at all. Indiana Jones carried a satchel. Haha. All jokes side, leather cases do make it look nice, but I don't like the added step of flipping it open. If your wife gives you grief about it, a strong backhand should do the trick. Haha just jokes.

I live in Newcastle and no one's beat me up yet for carrying a leather phone pouch so that's all the indication I'll ever need that it isn't girly.

I dont think there girly....i just posted pic for fun. I think they make you look more buisness like...when i had my blackberry i rocked the hell out of the blackberry pouch

I would steer clear of it. Seems ultra feminine to me. Unless you can get it in camouflage, then it would be only metro sexual.

As long as you don't have the white phone, you don't have any problems. If you have the white phone, you already look girly, so a leather pouch won't change much. So in both cases, go for it.

i dont quite understand it either. my fiance actually thought the blue one was girly, so go figure.
if people actually judge people based on their phone color choice, theyre not people i want around anyway.

I liked the white s2 but it was to slippery. And white gets dirty easy so i gave my white s3 to my gf. I put an ad on CL to trade my white s2 for a black one bc i liked the feel of the black battery door better. Within 1 hour 3 guys not girls hit me up wanting to trade lol

It's not on Incipio's website yet but someone's already selling it on eBay

It has a thin feels like I have nothing on my phone at all.. It does how ever make the power button really sensitive to touch.. I like the feel of it

Nice. Can't wait to get mine. Although I might be getting screwed over by the site I ordered from (it's been a week since they "shipped" it but the tracking number is still invalid)

Got mine in today and liking it very much. It feels like it adds maybe about an extra 0.5 - 1 mm vs the Diztronic. Its definitely thicker than the Diztronic but not by much. In exchange for that slight extra thickness, it feels like it would absorb a drop better than the Diztronic and the lip around the edge of the screen is also a little thicker. The buttons are also easier to press with the Incipio vs the Diztronic and the headphone cutout is a little larger also. I also prefer the soft touch paint coating of the Incipio. Both are great cases but I think the slightly better protection the Incipio offers over the Diztronic will make it the case I use on a daily basis.

Update: case is great but super sensitive around the power button I do like it tho phone feels better in hand than with generic eBay case

Yeah I bought one and it slightly covers the lens, it's not quite cut for the LS970 version around the camera. I am decidling if I should send it back and get an Otterbox instead.

I am starting to think it might be a design/manufacturing error on incipio's part. Maybe it's supposed to be for AT&T version of the phone but they use the Sprint version dimension instead, or vise versa. That would explain why it's still not showing up on incipio's website.
Anyway kratos313 how's the otterbox compare to the incipio when it comes to thickness & size?
