one click lag fix - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

there's no problem using one click lag fix on my nexus 9250 ???

if it's the same that i know of,why you want to use that?isn't a tool for the old galaxy s?in that phone is a must, but here absolutely not.(if i remember right,it was only for galaxy s)the phone itself(gnex) works well,if you have major lags there are some things that slow down the system..microlag instead are ok,but with an optimal kernel and optimal settings, not lot of apps that always sync things and a good use of the phone you are ok without tricks, especially on jelly bean.
At least, you can try the supercharger script, heard good things but never tried on this device, don't need it.google it and search for an xda 3ad.
i think it's the wrong section where open this 3ad..

[Q] Frosty JB V3 Bugs

Hi Everyone,
First I would like to say how much I love Frosty JB and that this thread is only to help make it better.
I would like to report some issues that I have seen and see if anyone else has had this as well.
1. I was getting random reboots saying invalid SIM
2. Screen would flicker when Hardware overlays was not disabled.
3. In ICS there was an option on the setting of call for configuring the Native SIP this has disappeared
4. Camera shutter not making the shutter sound anymore
Can't wait for the next release V4 of Frosty.:good::good:
If anyone else is having other issues I would like to hear about it.
THANKS AGAIN
How did you go about flashing? What steps did you take?

I flashed my T999 using the following instructions from android authority I can't show the link but you can google it
Then installed Frosty using the following instructions using the android authority again
It's pretty straight forward. just google android authority T999 frosty jelly bean
Good luck

And now why you post here about stuff u were guided by android authority? +if you have issues with a rom you post on that roms thread if u really want ur issues to be solved. There is a fix for every single "issue" u mention but i guess android authority has not posted the guide yet

No Disrespect to XDA, this is where the root of the Frosty came from but they Android Authority was the first place I heard about Frosty.
Now that I have found the source why go to second party.... I was just trying to be helpfull

Alright. Best way to be helpful is pm the rom's dev about bugs you find.
Once you get your 10 posts you will get better support posting in the rom thread. Until then just do what you can like now.
Couple things you can try, redownload the rom and reflash. Make sure youve backed everything up and factory reset before flashing. This will give you a clean install and rule out any compatability issues with apps or data.
If you are still having sim problems use Odin to flash back to UVALH2 stock and if it still has issues you may need to exchange the sim or even the phone.
I dont think 1. has been a common issue so i doubt its the rom. The rest are likely related to it being a jb leak. Youll find out faster for sure by scanning through the last 10-15 pages in the thread.
Good luck with it!

1. Don't think that is a ROM issue (might be your hardware). But best bet is to to fully wipe everything and do a clean install them wipe cache dalvic and fix permissions reboot and wait 10 minutes then reboot again.
2. Flicker comes from the kernel (uvli6/uvli7) it has much better battery than uvli8 so we accept rare flickers. Easy fix by disabling hw overlays (video wont work while disabled though).
3. Idk but i think that is just how it is on jelly bean. Nothing to do with this ROM but literally all jelly bean roms.
4. This is a known issue with acid sound mod not the ROM. You can delete the acid sound mod find the apk with a file manager or titanium backup.
Gotta use the search option my man!

I just tried this and still no shutter. I had also deleted dsp manager because I wasn't getting any bass with my earphones on and I saw a post that said deleting dsp fixed it, and it did. Could that have something to do with it

Google has nailed it with 4.2! :D

So after a couple of hours (20+ hours ) i have used stock 4.2 with root. No other modifications.
What I think:
-excellent speed, no lag or slowdowns
-excellent battery life with the new kernel
-the colors of the screen are much better!
-lovely new camera app
Everything is just perfect. What do you guys think of 4.2?

I love it! It's really fast, smooth and stable. Not a single problem in now almost two days. I like new additions, I got used to them right away. But, I've mentioned this before, the new "recent apps" is bothering me. It's really, really bothering me. I like that I can use the recent apps button while in-app to close it, but it stops right there. It's buggy like hell and it makes me feel like I'm on a nightly ROM each time I close an app. And I preferred the transparent look from 4.1. I seriously hope they'll fix it soon. Argh.
But, nevertheless, I love 4.2 - it's amazing.

But yes, I love it too
Well, everything is perfect expect 3 things.
1. lockscreen is a fail... o.o... after i slide to other widget page do something and come back to page where i can unlock my device i have to press a button to get the lockring? O.O also when i resize widgets i gets the lockring to another page and doesnt save the resize wtf really?
2. recent apps is cool, but its laggy. swiping apps is laggy, dont know why? hope we get the fix soon
3. power widgets at notifaction thing is not really widgets. example: if i press wifi toggle, it doesnt turn off or on wifi, it just takes you to wifi settings where you cant turn wifi on or off

of course they updated the kernel! look at the build date! and if nothing changed from the previous kernel, they could have used that one. they used a new one, and there are new changes. look at the 4.2 kernel source and you'll see
Not entirely they fubar'd the internal sdcard. Now everytime you flash a new ROM it will create a new partition in the /sdcard/ titled /0/ and you're f'd if you need a backup because thats in /sdcard/ while you're in /sdcard/0/0 :S

The more I look at it, the more I believe that is not 4.2's fault, but the recovery's fault. They need to be updated.

For myself I won't say never, but stock isn't a bad experience now ugly color is fixed, better signal for me, and quick settings aren't that bad like many people claim... ^_^ I'm happy with stock for the next time also the other features like the keyboard slide thing is nice, and let us not forget photo sphere ^^ all in Google did a big step forward, like they did with the first jelly bean version ^^

You seem to not understand. The WiFi just shows which WiFi you are connected to. Only actually toggles there are airplane mode, bluetooth and brightness.
And you also seem a bit confused to the lock screen as well. But I'll let you figure that out

Guys I see many of you have lags and bugs, i suggest to wipe everything before flashing, that's what I did and I have no lag or bugs in recent apps or elsewhere...and I'm usually very picky about lags and framerate drops...really 4.2 is as smooth or better than 4.1.2 here...gmail and recent apps are smoother than ever, facebook feed scrolling is finally totally smooth, and generally 4.2 feels fast and solid, I see some nice tweaked animations here and there...
That being said I expected much more from the google development team, sure WP8 lacks a solid ecosystem, but the os itself has some cool features that I'd like to see on android...like the all in one chat app, or the app-personalized lockscreen...our lockscreen widgets can't even compare to that...seems like android team is out of imagination and is just implementing small and not useful things here and there instead of pushing boundaries

So...basically you want them to push boundaries but manage to release a very stable and solid ROM, sometimes as soon as a few months after the last release (4.0>4.1>4.2 in less than a year)? I somehow have a feeling if they had revolutionized the OS but couldn't manage to smooth out a few bugs, you'd be on here hating them for not releasing a stable ROM. I think maybe you should start deving and realize the time and effort it takes to bring new features with true stability.

[Q] JB rom with working camera and video?

Ok, i already anticipate replies based on "use the damn search", ...please do us all a favor and don't clutter the thread with that kind of posts, try to max your posts number somewhere else :silly:
Anyhow, atm i have tried to install few JB roms on my HTC Desire GSM, the latest i have installed is JellyNow(btw: battery friendly), but still the same problems remain, the damn camera works but not so stable, often results in soft restart and when watching video as well(sometimes)
Is there a stable JB rom with camera and video working?
Please reply with posts where you can speak from your own experience, everything else is without arguments.
Thank you all in advance

Simple answer is NO.
There are Nikez and VJ's CM10.1, but the camera and video are choppy and tearing.

yup, i have stumbled upon this one a week or two ago, but i have read somewhere that its development has come to STOP, apparently lack of developers in their team....i am not sure if this is correct information.
Although i might give it a go, to see how it goes...all i need is daily driver, i am not that active user, because JellyNow can hold 2days, but it isn't usable any more, sometimes i cant answer a phone-call, because when ringing screen doesn't respond as it should, just showing incoming call, then it needs up to 5sec to start reacting....wierd.
Anyhow i am still in a hunt for a fine balanced rom....the problem is i am now addicted to JB stuff, beacuse it almost has it all i need within OS, so need for installing additional apps is minimum.
Tnx
I'm using jelly time and the camera and video work perfectly fine...I've been using this ROM for a good 3 months now...I will just add though that for some reason I can't find the camera now to use it lol but I think I disabled it cuz I never use it and would always accidentally open it....

Mic problems on AOKP ROM

So i'm on to like my third GS2 because it seems like i always have bad luck with ROMs or there is common issue that i haven't yet noticed. I am currently not even rooted but i have this itch to just root once again and flash my beloved AOKP that i love dearly. The problem is that every time i flash the ROM everything is fine and smooth for about a month, but then people start telling me that my mic and my end of the call sounds really bad. I always test speech to text and google now and the phone seems to understand and hear me perfectly, but the issue of phone calls remain. I really wanna know if this is a common issue especially with this ROM so that i can stay away from rooting and flashing for good now or if there is a way to fix this or if someone has worked their way around this. Any help or info would be appreciated, thanks!
AOKP to the death bro i feel you on that and do you have the newest radio installed MC6 (baseband) any of the newer ROMs all recommend to use the newest radio but on a side note yes the issue is know but not everyone gets it but ive never actually had that problem every phone acts differently and behave differently not every phone is created equal
Do I need to install the MC6 radio separately? I've had the issue with all my GS2's :/
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
yes just download this and flash it in recovery http://goo.im/devs/Void_Dweller/SGH-T989_UVMC6_radio.zip and see if you have any improvements also what radio are you on now ??
OK thank you. Well like I said in my first post I am unrooted and stock right now. I just want info at my reach in case it happens again because its a stressful situation where all my calls are impossible and I want to be able to fix it right away if it happens
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
I also used to have an issue with AOKP because when I was in USB mass storage connected to my computer it would either freeze and I would have to reboot the phone or it would just disconnect and not recognize the phone until I rebotted again. Any ideas on this issue? I really wanna get back to AOKP, i just run into a lot of issues somrtimes :/

OK so i was able to flash the radio you told me to but it was no use, my side of the phone call sounds like if i was talking through a fan, this is really frustrating now :/ any ideas? I will try flashing slimbean again and keep you posted. thanks for all your help up until now, i appreciate it bro.
OK so i re-downloaded the slimbean rom and also flashed the 4.2.2 slim gapps and i am so happy and satisfied that my phone actually works the way it's supposed to now. I only have two small concerns now that i hope you can help me with.
1. When i connect to my pc my phone only gives me the options to connect as a media player or a camera. It's as if it dosn't even have a usb mass storage option? I also noticed it has no developer section in settings.
2. Everything is small. I know you might know this and it might be normal or default but is there any way to change this and make it normal? Is it something to do with Dpi? It's kinda annoying lol

I have to tell you I used the one that adamgraver is talking about and I loved it! I moved back to kit kat for stability reasons but I really loved it!

What do you mean "for stability reasons"? I consider trying out the lollipop ROM from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/development/rom-fml-fork-life-06-05-2014-v2-t2764064
Known issues are :
- Stock Camera app isn't working yet. Aftermarket ones, such as Camera ZOOM FX, might work however.
I don't care much about the stock camera app. But I am wondering how things go with calls, SMS, MMS, mobile data etc... i.e. usability.
The treads says: "These builds are very early! They aren't daily-driver-stable, but they are progressing extremely fast. They don't include the usual FML optimizations either, but they are surprisingly snappy already..." which to me is a little confusing... If I would like to use it as a daily-driver, what are the concessions to be made?
Thanks a lot in advance for your input.
Best,

It became really slow really quickly had major crash issues as well. It couldnt play youtube, bluetooth and wifi had issues. It would just lock up a lot no matter how many resets I did. An update is going to be really soon so keep your eyes open for it, I cant wait!
Lollipop is in my opinion officially stable now if you use osmosis and neph's kernel and settings. Go check em out!
