Crystalusion Liquid Glass Protection - Galaxy S III Accessories

Well I have my hands on the new Crystalusion Liquid Glass and I am in the process of writing the UK's first official online review of the product. So far I have applied the product to the screen of my one X which was incredibly easy.
The product protects against abrasion as well as bacteria and is invisible

How about posting the link in your actual post? I ask because those of us on Tapatalk have to go open the thread in the browser to see your sig.
Herp derp SGS3 Tapatalk 2

And it doesn't seem like an actual review. It seems more like a "hands in will test post".
Side note: link sucks for viewing on gs3 with chrome.

At the moment it is an application review and I will be returning to the review once I've used the product long enough to offer advice. So far I'm really impressed with it

Way more excited for NeverWet IMHO
edit: but after reviewing my choices and seeing the reasonable price for this protector, I think I am going to grab one off of eBay
edit 2: I will wait for the full review, because I cannot find one on the internet other than a supplier on Amazon who also reviews porn. (kinda sketchy) I also found their YouTube channel, but they also have another product that they used the EXACT same videos for (Wundershield) (very sketchy)

I think wundersheild is the German name for the same product

I would have a hard time trusting this stuff. I know for a fact most stuff won't get through a normal screen protector, you just don't know what will get through this and whether or not it's time to buy a new batch and reappy. Plus, once you get a scratch on it, then what? Does it wash off and you can reapply?
I think I'll stick to a normal screen protector, which isn't noticeable and I at least know what I'm getting.

It is a big step away from traditional style screen protectors and can see why people would be wary. I'm looking to get hold of a scratch test video soon.

Those of you wanting to give this product a try for yourselves keep an eye on my website early next week. I am hoping to run a giveaway competition where you could win a sample for yourself!

Giveaway now live on site

Does it really protect against scratches?
Sounds too good to be true...

My one x is scratch free after one month of use. The one x has a number of people reporting how easily scratched it is. I do not baby my phone and it's still mint. I'm convinced this helped

I'm known with the stuff for applying it on clothes, so maybe I give it a try
Nice article about the potentials of this nanotechnology:
http://phys.org/news184310039.html
EDIT:
just bought it from Ebay, I will try it

Don't miss the giveaway on my site if you want to try this for free

Well I've applied it, notice less fingerprints on the screen!
About protection not much to say, I had no scratches so that will be a future thing.

I bet you these products (and there are a few brands of them) are just like a car wax. I bet if you applied Nu Finish once a year car wax on a cloth and wiped onto the screen and then buffed the screen, it would be the same result - clear, and less prone to fingerprints and scratches

Zagg InvisibleShield has a problem (and they know it)

I have a Zagg InvisibleShield on my iPad. After applying it I noticed a few little lines that look like perfectly straight scratches but I chalked it up to user error. I went ahead and ordered one for my shiny new Samsung Vibrant and then waited over a week for it to arrive. When it finally showed up I immediately installed it and it went on without a hitch (after my iPad installation I was a PRO).
I noticed immediately that the lines were there (a couple of vertical lines from top to bottom) but I went ahead and waited a little while to see if they would go away. They never went away and are particularly irritating on white backgrounds (like web pages). I decided that I couldn't handle it anymore and wrote in for a refund. Here is the reply I got:
Hello Don,
Thank you for contacting ZAGG, where we are zealous about great gadgets! My name is David and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
In regards to your e-mail, the nature of the invisibleSHIELD has some limitations and it seems you have located one of the few. There can, at times, be some considerably small lines that may appear like an incredibly fine hair or scratch and this is an unavoidable quality.
If you would like, we can offer you a one time courtesy replacement for your invisibleSHIELD, but we cannot guarantee that it will be free of lines.
To process your replacement request you will be asked to provide a credit or debit card....

It goes on to explain how to get the "courtesy replacement" and how to submit my credit card information so that THEY CAN CHARGE ME FOR SHIPPING! If there's a "limitations" to the product and I have "located one of the few" then they should send it to me for free. These "incredibly fine hair or scratch" lines are not acceptable on a phone where the primary selling point is the awesomely clear and 'vibrant' screen.
They did eventually get around to giving me instructions for how to get the refund so that's the route I will be taking. I have already ordered the Realook screen protector so once that gets here I will be sending the Zagg back to them.
Zagg buyer beware. You might get a good one but they "cannot guarantee that it will be free of lines".
.
I have Zaggs on nearly all of my devices (13, including my Vibrant) and have never once had this issue. I hope this is isolated to just you, and I don't mean that in a bad way...

It's far from just me. Google 'zagg vertical lines' and you will see that there are many people who have had the same problem.
My Realook just showed up. I ordered on Tuesday received in the mail on Thursday where it took the Zagg 9 days to show up. I took off the Zagg and put on the Realook and the difference couldn't be more "clear". If I handed someone my phone and asked if there is a screen protector on it they would say "no" (definitely not the case with the Zagg). It looks and feels like the factory glass and I LOVE IT.
I am definitely going to go with Realook from now on.
could you post a link to where to get the realooks?
Edit: See below for link.
This guy has 100% positive feedback and I see why. I ordered it Tuesday and it showed up on Thursday, from CA to TX, so I couldn't ask for faster shipping (and it's FREE).
I can't stress enough how perfect this thing is. If you want your screen to look and feel like glass this is the protector to get.
I'm having the same issue with the Zagg vertical lines. I actually thought maybe the spray messed up the AMOLED so today I took the screen protector off and the lines disappeared. I'll be contacting Zagg and looking into something else...

Just ordered one, nice that it comes in pack of 2. Otherwise, I'll have to order an extra for my wife's Vibrant, thanks for the link.
Was going to order the clearfreak, but I didn't want to deal with the wet application, then having to deal with the haze & bubbles for a few days.
that link is for the International galaxy, it has the mouse hole at the bottom.

Just ordered a set of the real look as well...I grabbed some T-Mobile anti-smear screen protectors yesterday and hate those things. They cover only the screen itself, are matte, feel funny and the worst thing, they distort the screen in some whacked way, making the pixels almost iridescent. Needless to say, I ripped it off after an hour!
I am really looking forward to the new ones, after reading a lot of good testimonials!
Thanks for the link!

Mostly likely both are from the same seller.
i too had these lines on my cliq xt, my cliq titanium, my G1, and my laptop. i went to physical store though so they replaced them for free each time, mainly cause im a tmobile account manager with deutche telekom and they dont charge me. but they would have offered to replace them for free anyways they told me because it is a flaw in the product and it shouldnt be present in every shield
Anyone using the REALOOK, does the screen feels sticky like Zagg? I remember getting Zagg for Mytouch, and it felt sticky so I ended up buying PhantomSkinz.
The Realook is as smooth as the glass. Absolutely no friction when using Swype.

Skinomi skins - pictures?

Based on pics they have up on their site of other phones, and watching a couple of their install videos, I'm really interested in the Skinomi skins... they have plenty of pictures up for other models of phones, but no pictures for the Epic 4G Touch:
http://www.skinomi.com/samsungwithin.html
I sent their customer service a message, telling them I am interested but not willing to order completely sight-unseen since I don't know how the skins will be implemented on this particular phone.
Has anyone used these skins before?
Anyone got one of them on their Epic 4G Touch yet?
I'm hoping it'll be similar to this, since these phones are pretty similar form factor:

Looks pretty cool in the dark wood too: http://www.skinomi.com/samsung-infuse-4g-dark-wood-skin-protector.html

I won't buy Skinomi again after their HP TouchPad crap. Ordered a carbon fiber skin for the back of mine. They sent me a email saying it shipped but didn't actually go out til 3 days later. Then When I get it they for whatever reason added a cut out in the back to expose the nasty HP logo instead of leaving it one piece like pictured. The picture of the skin when I bought it was one piece, a few days later they switched it to the one with the center cutout.
I got mine today and installed it and its great. I had one on my inspire and loved it. It takes about 1 to 2 days for it to settle but when it does its like glass. Ill post pics tomorrow when all the solution drys and the bubbles disappear.

By the way, they're available now for $3.95 plus free shipping on Amazon. I ordered a back up because it's a nice protector and so damn cheap. Figured this may be a pricing gimmick by skinomi, first time buyer. Can't go wrong for 4 bucks shipped. I don't mind the friction and it's application process gets rid of any possible air pockets and the rainbowing seems to be minimal and disappearing. Those are the things i was most concerned about. I'm diggin it.
how long did you guys wait to use the phone after applying the screen protector ??
Just to clarify...
... This thread is about the skins, not the screen protector.
Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't mind hearing how those are either, in fact id like to hear if that's all you got - but mostly want to see if the skins are laid out the same way as in the second post:

Since these seem like a great anti-case solution, I'd love to see any pictures, i don't want to buy blind.
Thanks!
I can tell you that I bought a TPU black matte case and a skinomi screen protector and they both look excellent. I have in the past on various phones used Zagg, Ghost Armor and Best Skinz. Skinomi looks as good or better then the Ghost Armor which is the only other brand I would buy again. There is little to none orange peel effect and the feel of it is almost non-existent. Zagg is the only brand i would never ever buy again. The feel of Zagg is comparable to cover being on the phone vs naked and the look leaves alot to be desired also.
For the price on Amazon for the Skinomi, it is a clear winner (no pun intended) in my book.
Good to know...
I'm not a "case" kind of a guy - i like slim and pocketable - but I do have a tpu case on here right now, and would definitely recommend it. My matte black one looks upscale and fits really well, and it's not too thick really.
I just want that mm or two back.
Any pictures?
I'm trying to upload some pictures but it won't let me it keeps giving me a security error.
Here are a few pictures of the carbon fiber skin and the screen protector.
I'm impressed... I think that looks even better than the Infuse!

I do reviews for a site and we have a very close relationship with both Samsung and HTC and the word they always use is never "GIVE" it is always "LOAN" and with that they always make use promise that the device will be returned in perfect working order. If it is damaged in anyway the reviewer has to pay for it.

From that angle, it looks like it raises the back enough so that it protects the camera. But that's probably not the case since it's just since a skin...

FYI if anyone wants to get one of these skins ask them what the dimensions are for them and compare to your phones.
dbrand had problems with the build qualities of the One and the difference between the different variants.
Here's what they said when I asked about them making a custom for my One. And these guys are meticulous about their quality/fit.
PS I bought a Nexus 4 custom skin from them, it fits perfectly, as if it was a part of the phone.
I'm waiting for dbrand to finish perfecting them. 3M gave them a leftover roll for the red carbon fiber used on the new ferrari.
It's rough man... HTC won't give us any of the CAD files due to some bs about not being a part of their "licensed accessory partner program". We can confirm that some devices are slightly different than others. The tolerance is about 0.2mm, which doesn't sound like a lot, but it really is.
Disclaimer: stop reading now if you don't want excessive details.
With the HTC One, because the device has a slight curvature on the back and rounded edges, users can't properly align it using a corner. It must be aligned using either the HTC logo or the camera/flash cutout. The tolerance lies between those two areas (the HTC logo and the camera/flash). So, for example, say on device X the HTC logo was 0.2mm lower than on device Y. Not only would the camera/flash cutouts be off by 0.2mm, but the skin would be hanging off the bottom edge by 0.2mm. The solution here is to create cutouts which are ~0.45mm larger than they need to be, and an outer limit which is ~0.225mm shorter from each side. The result is a skin that looks like it was half-assed, when the reality of the situation is that HTC's manufacturing process is just not stringent enough. The alternative is to go out and buy 3 sample phones from each carrier (9 in total in North America, totaling 27 phones), and test to see which carriers have which versions of each device. We would then have a selection page during checkout for each carrier and supply skins separately for each. While is is the route our CEO wants to take, the design team feels that the sample size is not great enough to accurately gauge what is what. It'll just end up being a cluster**** of skins that are slightly off.

MIMEUSA.com

I recently emailed them regarding their tempered glass release for the Moto X and their response was that they were currently gauging interest. So I've posted this on G+ and thought I would post here as well. If you email them your interest in their tempered glass; they have 2 kinds. They could possibly release one for our device. Email is: [email protected] if you can.
Thanks!
Mailed them :good:
Mailed em! Now I hope they will do something about AND that the product doesn't SUCK.
I had mailed them a couple nights ago as well. No response back as of yet.
I'm really hoping that they're watching how the sales of this phone is going and commit to this. Looks like an outstanding product
I know this is not necessarily identically related.. But iLoome recently responded to someone on their Facebook page that they are testing a prototype for the Moto X right now. Or at least their Screenmate version. Either way, I'd be excited if either iLoome or MIME decided to make and sell them :fingers-crossed:
Emailed them yesterday as well. Would love to get rid of this terrible Zagg protector.
Mailed them. I love mime ghost glass

For $50 I don't know that I should. Or could. Yikes.
Thanks for the share though and would gladly let someone test it out for us.

Clarivue isn't even selling the XT Glass version anymore on their own website, probably for good reason. I wouldn't trust $50 to a third party on this.
Mime emailed me two days ago and said the ghost glass should be ready in the middle of January

If you don't want to wait for the MIME protector, give iBlason a try. http://www.amazon.com/i-Blason-Motorola-Ultra-Thin-Tempered-Protector/dp/B00E0CUP18
I am not having the sensor problems you read about. I don't know if they've fixed it, the 4.4 update fixed it, or (as someone suggested) my white-front is somehow different than it being used on the black-front.

I'm a fan. It feels like the glass on the screen. So far it hasn't accumulated any scratches. It is not a finger print magnet either, pretty easy to keep it clean. It was VERY easy to apply - I actually came away with no air bubbles to squeegee out. The edges aren't rounded like the Spigen tR series is, so you can feel a very slight edge if you run your fingers around your phone edge, but it's not irritating in any way if you swipe in from the sides. I paid $17 for it (Prime membership, free 2-day shipping) - I feel like it's an amazing product for the price, especially compared to other similar products (I know Spigen usually runs about $25-30 for their glass protectors).
You'll see a lot of the reviews on Amazon mentioning that their proximity sensor doesn't work with it on - especially noticeable if they're in a call (they'll bring their phone away from their face and the screen doesn't turn on, so they can't end the call, etc.) I didn't have any of these problems. A couple reviewers updated their review mentioning that after the 4.4 Kit Kat update, their problems went away. Some people have also said that the black fronts have the problems, where the white fronts don't. I don't know about all that - all I know is it works just fine for me, tested with many calls.
I can take some pictures this evening after work if anyone wants.
Anybody ever used the ghost glass with an otterbox defender series? I always pull the built in screen protector out of the otterbox and just put another screen protector on the phone. Just wondering if there are any fit problems with the defender and the ghost glass.

Yes please, pictures would be welcome. Also, do you have a white or a black front?
