I just inserted and put files on this new sd card. They files work but when I go into Clockwork mod I cant view any files.
There is an ERROR MOUNTING SDCARD. Can anyone please help me get this to work?
Thanks!
If it isn't already, have you tried formatting your sd card to FAT32?

I think that solved it. I downloaded some partitioning program and formatted to FAT 32

Hi!
I formatted my SD card to use with A2SD earlier today in GParted, but I forgot to format the rest of the card to FAT32. Now my SD card says ReadOnly and I can't find the card on my computer...
Should I use a card reader or what should I do?
Thanks alot in advance!
By computer, do you mean your Windows, or in gParted?
my desire stop recognizing sd card wtf
it says no sd card ...
p.s my clockwordmod recognize it
Try a different newly formatted SD Card?
If your partitions are corrupted, you might get that message.
i mounted and formated my sd card via clockworkmod and still nothing i've tryed 2 more sd cards and still my phone dont read them
Well, this is beyond me, so try this link, this person had a similar problem.

Although this is strange you can mount the sd card and format it so the above link may not help.
Bump anybody?
Hello,
I have a 16gb SD card that I am trying to format. It has an EXT4 folder on it that I cannot delete. I cannot write to the SD Card as it is showing as in use.
I have a back up for my Desire but it is on my PC, therefore I cannot write this to the SD card. I can only access the SD card through my PC as when it is in the phone it will not mount.
Could someone explain how to delete the EXT4 folder so that I can write to the SD card? At the moment I have no Mobile!
Many thanks,
Simon

I guess you mean that you have an ext4 partition (formating normally doesn't care about folders).
I would suggest formatting the sd-card with an sd reader outside of your phone.
An alternative would be re-formatting your sd via recovery if you have clockwork mod installed. (or e.g. via adb: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534714)
OK, managed to delete the file through EXT4 Recovery and mounted to my PC. Thankd for the help by the way!
Simon.....

thanks bro! however i already found a solution and i want it to share with you since i thinks its a lot easier. i format the sd card using the computer right click>format> i choose ntfs and quick format, it will fail. after that insert the sdcard on your phone and the phone will automatically detect that the sd card needs to be formatted. atfter that format it with the phone and thats it
My Tab S is wiped clean, has no firmware, except TWRP.
I am trying to use an SD Card to install ROMs from it.
I am formatting the SD Card in Windows 7, copy the necessary zip files into it, insert it into the Tab S, reboot into recovery. I have tried FAT32 and exFAT.
No matter which format type I try, TWRP does not see" the SD Card.
Can someone please tell me what's happening and how I can get TWRP to "see" my SD Card?
PS I have tried 3 different SD Cards to make sure.
Try another sd card. That might help

You need to select whether you want to use internal storage or Microsd card first.
Look under MOUNT.
