Hi all. I've just started using WidgetLocker on my GS3, and I'm trying to figure out if it can replace the TW "swipe to unlock" screen without having to completely replace my work-mandated PIN lock screen. I've gone through several other threads, including this very detailed and helpful thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825553 -- but I can't seem to find the answer.
To be as specific as possible:
My employer mandates the use of a PIN to unlock my GS3, but that feature doesn't kick in for 10 minutes. Instead, when I hit the power/lock button and then wake the device in fewer than 10 minutes, I get the standard "swipe to unlock" screen without the PIN request. WidgetLocker works fine with that setup, but after unlocking WidgetLocker, I still have to "swipe to unlock" to get to my home screen. Is there a way to skip the "swipe to unlock" screen and go straight to my home screen WITHOUT turning off the PIN lock screen that kicks in after 10 minutes?
Thanks much!

Hi,
I have a problem with my lock screen. If I lock my GS using the power button, the slide to lock screen comes up upon pressing the power button again.. fine no problem there.
But, if I let the screen timeout and the press the power button to bring the phone outta standby. There is no lock screen. I am brought straight to the home screen.
I cannot see, or have never come across and option to enable this. I had a look around the Q&A GS forms also. Anyone have any ideas?
(hope it's not something ridiculously simple I've missed)
what is selected in automatically lock? if there is for example 1 minute, and you turn your device in this minute on then there is no lockscreen, but after this minute the lockscreen is back
Ok I've played around with security settings and tried to find the "automatically lock" option. I seems this was not visible until I selected "pattern Unlock".
I set it to 30min at some stage and seem to have forgot about it.
When I set it back to "Immediately", the problem was solved.
Thanks for the reply, gave me a push in the direction I needed to go in.
Hello.
It seems when you activate pin or password lock you loose the lock screen after screen turns itself off. It will lock after set number of minutes. At which point you have to first swipe then enter the code. Witch is dumb because the whole purpise of lock screen is to protect from accidental pressing something not make it inconvenience for user.
So is there a mod that would allow have swipe to unlock activate on screen off or power button and only lock the phone with pin after set number of minutes after that?
Thanks.
P.S.
Preferably stock lock screen. Love the water and ink effects.

You can do this using Tasker.
I just changed phones from the galaxy S2 to the S4 and I am looking for a way to use a similar lockscreen to the S2:
After locking your phone (using lock button or screen timeout) it would allow you to swipe to unlock until 2 minutes have passed.
Afterwords you would need to use a pattern to unlock it
The S4 will not let me do this. Instead it leaves the screen blacked unless the home button, volume buttons, or lock button get pressed then just continue from the last screen I was in. While this may be a good feature for some people (not me), I am constantly finding myself sending text messages with short nonsense words strung together and then opening random apps in my pocket which create noise.
Is there any way (without checking the "lock instantly with power key" option as I enjoy the 2 minute grace period) to do this?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
NOTE: I have tried Tasker to do this (swapping back and forth between locksceens on a timer) but I am not sure if it is possible or I am using poor syntax when writing the tasks.
Can I use fingerprint to unlock phone when it is in "swipe screen to unlock" status?
When the phone is password locked, I need to use fingerprint to unlock it, but when it was only turned off briefly, I have to swipe the screen to unlock it. This is annoying as you have to decide how to unlock the phone depending on its status. Can I set the phone up so that I can always use fingerprint to unlock even if it is in "swipe screen to unlock" status?
Not that I've seen. It's really frustrating because like you said, you have to check first 'can i swipe?' when you get used to using your fingerprint. I found it easiest to ALWAYS require fingerprint, as soon as the screen shuts off, it needs a fingerprint to bring it back. I've gotten used to just holding my finger over the home button when I press it to immediately unlock it. Might be your best bet as well.

That is probably the best work around so far. Thanks.
Does anyone know if there's a way to disable the pre-lockscreen "swipe to unlock" screen? I use a pattern lock, and when I want to unlock my phone it seems odd to me that I need to swipe a screen away before I can draw my unlock pattern. My previous phones didn't have this function, they went straight to the pattern screen when I hit the power/lock button.

Hello...
May I first ask... why not use the Fingerprint Sensor on the back ?
Problem Solved.
If for some reason that is not available to you.. "STAY STOCK DON'T ROOT" and wait for a Custom ROM that may.... have a way to bypass Step 1 of your delema.
