Just updated to official JellyBean (Polish), although rooted and deoxed.
Now again the original Google calendar (with pinch zoom timeline) is gone.
Does anybody know where to get the AOSP Google calendar.apk and how to install it (I don't want to re-install all gapps as a bulk brute-force effort)?
Also, with 4.0.4 adding AOSP calendar.apk to SAmsung official TW rom resulted in double Calendar alerts: one from S Planner and another from AOSP calendar.apk. Is there a way to solve this?
Thanks for all the help (yes, I've tried searching, but haven't found a solution yet).
EDIT: have tried the following:
1) Attempt to install CalendarGoogle.apk (taken from original JB AOSP apk files thread) from internal sdcard (fails, even if "install from unknown sources" is enabled, result is: "Application not installed))
2. Copy calendargoogle.apk to /system/app/ and reset the permissions to proper state with Root Explorer & reboot & build Dalvik cache (app is nowhere to be accessed).

That's actually almost ICS 4.0 calendar, not the fully functional 4.1 Jelly Bean Calendar ("I had to disable a few new features from Jellybean that don't work on ICS" as the author says).
So close, but not quite the same.
I am running JB after all, not ICS.
Anybody have an idea how to get AOSP Google Calendar (full JB version) to run on TW JB builds?

Battery & RAM Tweaking Guide
**Performance Tweaks**
-> DISABLE AUTOMATIC BRIGHTNESS
-> ENABLE AUTOMATIC BACKLIGHT FILTERING
-> WIPE CACHE
-> WIPE DALVIK CACHE
-> ENABLE ZRAM (18%)
-> ENABLE PURGING OF ASSETS
-> REBOOT
Also, after installing all the apps via ZIPs
-> FIX PERMISSIONS via CWM
-> REBOOT
Fixing permissions will make sure there isn't any unwanted FCing.
Charge your Battery to a 100%:
-> WIPE BATTERY STATS
-> REMOVE Charger
-> Use for complete cycle (to nearly 10%)
-> Do not reboot anywhere in between
-> CHARGE to 100% (and give additional 1 hour after that)
-> Enjoy COMPLETE BATTERY CYCLE
This ensures that when your battery shows 5% remaining, it actually is 5% instead of really being 15%. That's why battery calibration is important. It doesn't improve battery life, but gives you your COMPLETE Battery life.
MORE:
- Go to SETTINGS>DEVELOPER OPTIONS
- Force 2D GPU rendering
**RAM Cleaning**
- Do not use task killers
- Freeze/Move to Quarantine those APPS which you DO NOT USE regularly and you don't want them TO RUN IN THE BACKGROUND
APP QUARANTINE on Play Store
Go ahead, try it. Move all unwanted apps to quarantine now!
**DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER**
Your phone sips the least amount of power when it is in DEEP SLEEP STATE. There is a new app in the marketplace which can FORCE DEEP SLEEP STATE on your phone. This is especially useful if you want the phone to conserve battery for hours and then wake up for a minute and sync all new alerts in one go. This can help prolong your usage on a single charge.
DEEP SLEEP BATTERY SAVER on Play Store
This app is under development and can be found on XDA developers forums itself. Here's the link to the thread:
[APP] [2.1+] Deep Sleep Battery Saver
**BATTERY CALIBRATION**
FOR THOSE WITH BATTERY PROBLEMS:
1.After flashing your phone with a new ROM, install this software:
BATTERY CALIBRATOR on Play Store - 47 KB size
2.Then, charge your phone to 100%.
3. IMPORTANT. Remove CHARGER first.
4. IMMEDIATELY hit "Battery Calibration" (1 or 2 seconds delay is fine, wait for BATTERY voltage to drop and be stable)
5. Use your phone normally (don't charge in between) till it hits 1%.
6. Then charge your phone UNINTERRUPTED (leave it for charging all night) till 100%.
7. Unplug and start using. You should be having as little as 2-3% battery drain for 6-8 hours of IDLING now. That's the optimization of a calibrated battery.

Since this is CM10 based this might be a stupid question but does this require an unlocked bootloader? You didn't mention anything about a new kernel so I thought maybe you might not.

Something Wrong...
Hello
I tried to do like the post, but at the first step, flash boot.img from zip with flashtool, my Ion boot with FreeXperia and then, nothing, just a black light screen...
So i flashed with my Stock_Kernel_6.1.E.3.7_Root.elf, and my phone is back but i don't want to make a mistake.
How can i get the CWM mode, because with the new boot.img, it doesn't work (for me).
Thanks for answers

Backup before installing, this release needs a fresh install. if you install ontop of .244 i can not help.
The rom is based on Canadian latest Jelly Bean update - .67
I have included Xposed Framework, just install as usual, also included reboot apk and toggle settings apk.
Complete rewrite of the updater-script, still a work in progress.
I made this rom for all Xperia ZL looked bottloader user's, LTE APN's for rogers are included (plus More).
Rom is and will be optomized for users that have a locked bootloader, might work on other phones. If your brave you can test and report back.
No themes yet, I have not tried any downloads below yet, if you try and install any of my themes it's at your own risk.
The rom is based on US Generic latest Jelly Bean update - .244
4.2.2 has built in toggles like the the docomo version, so i will not be trying add any other toggle options.

I love feedback and will do my best to answer and keep an eye on the thread. as I'm new to building rom's I have a lot to learn. So with that being said if and when i upload a rom and it has warning in the change log, this just means it might not be stable and could cause you to have to reinstall a rom. I will do my best to ensure that does not happen by testing my self, but it's always a possibility.
Fine Print......,
if you are unsure on how to flash a rom, root a phone, answer a text or use an android phone you may want to do a little reading before you begin..
If by chance you mess up or I upload a rom that messes up your phone you ultimately are on your own and take full responsibility for anything that happens to your phone.
So all jokes aside take care and read if your unsure, Have fun.
Rogers LTE & Tethering APN settings, this came from a stock Roger's Xperia T.
So if you have lost your APN's or want to add the Roger's APN's for LTE to your rom here you go.
Great news
But may I ask why not 10.1.a.434?the newest firmware
Edit:My bad I didn't see it is for locked bootloaders
Good job OP. This should satisfy all those with locked BLs who have been left out of the action so far.:good:
will be a little longer, battery died last night and now it wont reset or charge.
OK version 1.0 is working (stock no mods, this will be my base), now i want some time to see if i can fix the CWM rebooting issue.
hmm...
I'm not really good with that so not sure how much time I'll waste on the fix.

Thanks for the link, unless i can figure out cwm it's to hard to for me to develop. cwm mod my zl (C6506) is horrible. to much work to sign in to use the app on the market or install cwm to just get it back into cwm, it is killing the phone every third or forth time. causing me to have to start all over.

the one here,
i have now included x-parts in my rom to boot to recovery during my testing? so i have a working black conversation apk mod done, plus a black and blue keyboard and now i'm working on the dialer.
once i get all my visual mods done i'll work on system mods.
hopefully we'll get a fully working cwm for our zl's. maybe the sd card mount will be fixed as well.
I read in a post you fixed the issue with cwm for c10? could you possibly add it to the one in the thread i linked to?

Stuck on sony logo again, please can someone fix cwm. some times i can boot to cwm 3 times and then sony logo, and sometimes 2 times.
starting all over again.
think I'm ready to upload and let people test. hopefully uploaded in the next 24 hrs.
screen shots of mods to come as well.
uploading to ftp now, takes a while and i have 3 full versions. only thing different is the toggles.
in time i'll add add toggle update to switch from while your on a different version.
so first one to be uploaded is the one with docomo toggles.
Hey HackitZ thanks for the Rom. You mentioned in the install instructions to install a particular Rom ftf first. Is it necessary prior to flashing yours if I already have my Bell ZL rooted?
Sorry the amateur question

ok i mention to flash the ftf that i used for a base. i'm sure you could keep the your phone the way it is just make sure you reset the phone in cwm and wipe dalvic cache.
if you find you have weird issue's then i would suggest starting over and with the us generic ftf.
if you flash over the bell stock let me know how it goes.
Flash went good on the Bell stock Rom. Although when I tried to use the system UI tool it crashed system settings and lost access to pull down menu and navigation toggles. So I just dI'd a factory reset. All else is good.
Notified me I have an update available though.

i have not had systemUI crash, what one did you install?
my phone is still locked to a carrier i don't use. So i have yet to connect to a network or turn on wifi.
wonder what version bell is up to for it to show an update.

Flashed the rom fine with bugs from CM 10.2. Why not use CM 11 as base rom?

I haven't worked on this in a while however to resolve your issue can you try the below solutions:
1. Edit an existing APN setting and change the settings to your provider settings (works 99% of the time)
or
2.Create an new APN setting name only and save it without setting any preferences - then open it again and you should be able to set and save the settings! (works 100% of the time)
or
3.Root the device - APN editing can be locked on some devices if not rooted

Thanks, this was only meant as a test base ROM, I haven't worked on this in a while and had forgotten all about this great project...!
Don't think I will be able to create anything more as I do not own the mobile

I think you have a C6902. Try finding the modem files for AOSP and flashing them if that is the case.
Unlike the Ultimate Rom, Rom Lite will not change much about the system. It is optimized for daily use without causing error !
FEATURES :
- Base on : 14.5.A.0.242
- Clear Garbage Application
- Odex ROM - if I de-odex, it will be no different than 4.4.4
- Turn on Dsee HX ( I found that Sony has hidden it, and I tried to turn it on, hoping it will work )
- Lite ROM - 765Mb - I will try to reduce the size of the next version
- Full Root and Dual Recovery
- Full Add-On Camera - 4K video - Timeshift Video...
- Add Power Menu
- Add Close All Button
Aroma :
+ Softkey dpi 36/38/40/42/48
+ Ext4 ( Speed up boot )
+ Support C6903/C6902/D5502
HOW TO :
- With the every firmware you can use the above
+ Download My Rom and Recovery
+ Copy ROM and Recovery into Sd Card
+ Reboot to Recovery
+ Factory reset and Wipe dalvik cache
+ Install My ROM And < Fix D5503.zip >
+ Reset Phone
+ After the device boots up, please reset again and began setting
- Enjoy and Thank Me
SCREEN SHOT :
Version First :
Download:
Version First : Media Fire
Fix Device D5503 : D-h.st
For :
- LB and UB
Warning : ROM not De-odex you should not flash MOD , I used device run odex and device run de-odex . And I see device run odex boot faster, longer battery life . If you do not want that, then de-odex

After installation and initial Boot why do you have to restart and Wipe date again or reset as you said in the instructions?
i have picked z1c option in aroma and after it boots everything is huge (as if z1 was applied)
edit: nvm, works after reinstall
Does the kernel have kexec-hardboot patch?

You flashed this, do you?
1st) Problems with market.. can i re-install only its?
i'll try to explain: some apps like "clash of clanes", "instagram".. are not recognized like compatibile. In add to its, some apps like facebook and whatsapp have the kitkat interface. Seems that market recognize a kitkat version.
2nd) I can't change background. It's related to an album's app, i think something like "album cut..".
I'm in testing
I like this ROM but i'll wait for more reviews.

After two days of usage i can say:
1) battery is the same as stock sony lollipop.
2)if you want to change background (home or lockscreen is the same) you NEED TO INSTALL photo editor.apk (it is an xperia app).
3) I think you did some mistakes in build.prop for z1 compact. A lot of app in play store aren't compatible with the device.
4) "Ritocco Ritratto" (in italian, i don't know in english) (maybe "portrait changes") is a Camera App extension. It doesn't function due to missing components (says Android).
I can't find "Ritocco Ritratto" anywhere, and market helper doesn't help!

Nice and stable rom. Most of useless bloat removed.
Missing some basic functions and settings from other roms like CM or AOSP - for example editable nav bar buttons, quick toggle hold for opening related settings etc...
But i like sony camera app and some other sony specific features, so at the moment i'll stick with sony based roms
Can any1 confirm if the High-Res Audio (DSEE HX) is working? (It says the option has been enabled in this ROM)
Thank you for this great rom,much better then rockz1c(that most of the time bootloops)
For some reason camera is working awesome in this rom(even better then on kk) all on manual
Been running for a day. No issues whatsoever with install, ric, root or play store incompatibilities. All good.

Where is Z1C gloves mode?
1) Does this ROM have ultra stamina mode ?
2)Do I need 14.5.A.0.242 or I can install it on a .157 Z1C?

Please
Excellent ROM with all of the useless crap removed, but I can't seem to install Sony's stock photo editor (from the What's New app), and get Messaging to work properly while on Ultra Stamina mode.
Would really appreciate if the dev could work on this. No pressure though!
