Accidentally threadjacked Warnahly. Sorry!
Original post:
At the moment, stuck running Arconium ICS 4.0 (4.1.B.0.431), Baseband 72, and the kernel is the stock + CWM found in http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1680793 .
I've been trying several dozen combinations of ROMs and kernels, and I keep running into the same brick wall - 3G and/or WiFi breaks. Usually it's the 3G, and occasionally the phone fails to recognize my SIM at all. This is the first combination I've found where everything works (almost - can't download from Play Store over 3G ).
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to run Arconium, Ice Cream Sony, or Xperia Ice Bean on any kernel that allows overclocking. Without breaking connectivity.

Title = Question.
The closest I got was the MIUI ROM that's up on the front page of the development forum right now. It was so close to working. It said "No SIM Card" but the calls worked!! And the -36 baseband was recognized! The only problem was that with that status message, the phone would not allow me to save any APN settings, therefore I could not get data access.
I also tried it with the -42 baseband. These should be the newest AT&T specific basebands available that are AT&T specific.
The real problem is, I can install 62 just fine, but it only supports the slower HSPA data speeds as these are for the R800i.
I don't really expect a solution but I thought I'd ask

Thanks! Do you use a specific CM9 build?
Also, which baseband do you use?
Do you have the call volume problems that many CM9 builds have? What about your proximity sensor?

I run FXP127 which I beleive was released fairly recently, Video does not work... ALTHOUGH if after installation you flash the Mjolnir4 Kernel and the modules (wont get wifi if you dont install the modules) the video works fine... the only problems I am having is the proximity sensor (just realized that today) as long as you dont leave the number pad up and close it when you dont need it, it doesnt bother me much. I am however going to research a fix for it this weekend.
baseband -62 It runs at the same speed as with at&t's newest BB I flashed back and forth from stock to CM9 ran speed test results are identical

Thanks again. The proximity sensor is one of those really tricky things. I don't mind Bluetooth audio not working, and other minor things like that. Video does have to work for me.
Actually I never had a problem with a non-working proximity sensor, except for Skype handling it very poorly. So I basically need it to work.
I have gotten all ICS roms that I've tried working on my AT&T play 4G(lol 4g). On some I may manually set the APN. I've tried KA11-14 Rom, Xdarkmario's Rom in .42 & .62 Firmware with Doomkernel ICS beta v.3, & CM9(can't remember which build) with CM's Kernel & recommended FW. I haven't tested for differences in speeds(data), but I got the H signal on all.
Edit** In NY area I hear that the. 42 FW with -56 baseband gets better call reception & less drops then newer .62 fw.

Hi all
I have a big problem
My dhd doesnt find any wifi networks. When i turm wifi on it starts scaning but it doesnt find any thing. I have tried with many roms but still i have this problem
It started from flashing ice cold sandwich after a freeze and a hot reboot from taste of sense
now im using jellyTime
No what should i do?
Start all over again, from scratch. Revise all the radio (if required, RIL) and kernel before flashing any ROM. Try to revert back to GB for testing and stability purpose.
JellyTime is an early alpha ROM! It is going to have bugs in it, go back to a stable ROM.
But it was working well in jellyTime a2
i installed taste of sense and then flashed ice cold sandwich then again flashed jellyTime b2 and i saw wifi couldnt find any thing
i tried wifi fix and lots of kernels and libs but still i have the problem
I've tried many different roms, one of my favourite is light orange, a fast yet stable stock based rom. However, recently I have a 2g contract (before this I only use wifi for networking), sadly I found that even I turn on (using toggle / directly from the setting) the data (with / without the use 2g only option) I can't really connect to the network.
Later I tried several other roms including Adrenaline™ ROM (stock based), XperiaTized (should be stock based?), but the network was still not working (though other things such as call / sms worked flawlessly).
Meanwhile, CM based rom such as DebianDroid, CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC1 Miracle Edition ( which is currently being used ) and even XperiaICS ( CM9 based ) work painlessly with the 2g network.
I want to know if my location (Hong Kong, China, Asia) matters for the 2g network problem. I really want to use stock based rom for lightweight, better battery and stability. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance
P.S. I factory reset and wipe cache, etc before flashing roms. But I don't think the way I flash rom matters because the CM based roms have no problems.

Due to some typo, I should clarify that 2g is NOT working on light orange either.
Now I switch to Enchanced236. The 2g data works finely but I don't know why the phone keeps rebooting after I restored apps using Go Backup
It's maybe because of deodexing problems. I don't know why there problems come up after deodexing, but have you had these issues with the ROM being Odexed?

Sorry but I don't know what you mean. Do you mean
1. roms that are originally odexed; OR
2. I have to odex the roms myself( is it possible ? )
If 1 is what you mean, it seems that most of the newly released custom roms are deodoxed, including CM7 I guess, so I should I find some old roms to test it? But with Enhanced236 ( deodexed ) I can have data, don't know why
If 2 is what you mean, how to do this?
Sorry I'm a newbie

Hmmmm
(Only Custom ROMs that are based on Stock might have these problems)
Well if the Custom ROM is poorly deodexed (not sure how) then the OP, has to re-deodex the ROM from scratch (Stock) and hopefully do it right this time. Then the OP adds the mods & tweaks.
If you go with #2, I think you'll still get the 2G problem :-\

So do you mean that if the custom ROMs are really poorly deodexed (which cause the 2g problem), I have nothing to do except (maybe) tell the ROM maker to fix it

Yeah, I guess so...
But it could be other problems. Not just deodexing
(But for me, it's most likely to be because of that. Because Stock ROMs are supposed to be stable. So if an issue like yours pops up, then I blame it on the deodexing process)

Maybe some of the restored apps or data are incompatible with something in the ROM. AFAIK, app restoring also keeps application data and some settings, not only apks.

I will try again to see if there are apps/data that cause the reboot problem. Your ROM is a smooth one that I like very much:good:
--added below--
I tried again and restored only necessary apps and data, now enhanced236 works like a charm!! Thanks so much again for such a great ROM!

Thanks for your recommendation but I would like to stick to a stock based ROM for battery and stability
Hi, I recently installed Racing Bean 2.0.1 with Fusion 4.0 kernel and flashed the Modules.zip I found in the Fusion 4.0.zip on my ARC S
The wifi isn't working, than i tried many times to wipe everything and flash again, with no benefits, the wifi still doesn't work
Same thing after flashing Fusion 4.3 and relative modules!
I used the search but I didn't find anything about this specific problem so I hope someone can help me :good:
Thanks
Well,I didnt have this issue and it shouldn't normally happen, but u can try leaving your wifi on and flashing the modules again(after flashing your rom that is).READ mechmetal's thread on wifi not working(the second post)..i can't help you if this doesnt work

Hmmm, what (customized) Rom version are you using? I still have two DI2 - retired from CDMA duties but running GSM on Sense-based GB ROM and they are working nicely for our needs. One is on T-Mo USA network and the other is on AT&T network.
Have you tried a different GSM ROM at all? Some of the newer 4.x ROM are nice & cool but not ready as a daily, IMO.

Actually i'm using Pac-Rom 4.2.2 from chilly, the thread says that 4.2.2 are suitable for daily use, the phone is working nice but i dont have signal bars (i can recieve and make calls, send and recieve messeges) i tried some patch and other GSM tweaks, using the Stock (or any Stock Based Rom) is working completely fine but i cant stand Sense even the 4.0.4 leaked Rom works fine i haven´t tried another ICS Rom.
another detail using the *#*#4636#*#* menu the radio turns on and off if i try to set the APN.
thread of the Rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049902
Both VZW and HTC dropped the balls in supporting the Incredible 2, leaving it behind the times in GingerBread land, and some of the most active & best XDA-developers have since moved onto other devices for their primary daily use.
We are no longer on VZW or CDMA and switched to Nexus 5's running latest KitKat - but, since we still got two DI2 in relatively near new conditions, I continue to play around with them with GSM carriers.
There are a few stable & solid 4.x custom/ported rom that run nicely on DI2 and they are a good match for GSM services - the newest ones released recently/this month are in alpha/beta stages and not solid/stable enough. If you are having issues with yours, I suggest switching to & trying a different one instead - there's nothing wrong with Sense Rom and if it works, that's all that matter for me.
Try this one, works for me - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291476

Not that I know of & I certainly don't recall discussions about it, way ahead of its time or arrival then in 2011-2012. Maybe the Jelly Bean ones could - to play with Xposed, I run back to our Nexus 5 and they are great for customization on our custom Rom.
