This works for me on FB21..?

i found the following issues:
- cant change lock screen wall paper
- red box sometimes appears when in browser
- voice mail still crashes sometimes
- when writing a text messages sometimes the last word will be copied in the empty message field
- sometimes when i try to exit to home screen 'car mode' starts unexpectedly
- random lags
but otherwise i love it

Weird bug, the original messaging app on the homescreen gave me an "app not installed" when I tried to use it. I removed it and went to my app drawer to re-add it, which worked fine but now it doesn't show if there are new messages.

Test it out.. I used the holo theme zips and used there themed app but mine did that on fb21.. Not on fb 27.. I had to use go sms pro to retrieve it.. Fb27 has no issues from me except the phone signal at home ( havent left home yet) on airave and wifi on cant get over 3 bars and usually its down to one or two all time

Settings app gone/missing [FB27]
I just flashed Calkulin's Stock Rooted FB27 and the settings app is missing. If I try to use "option--->settings" from the home screen nothing happens... Is this just something I am experiencing I haven't seen anyone else mention this as an issue.

It has been said in the dev thread for the rom.. Sdid you flash through odin or cwm?

In the dev thread its noted to use the de odex version.. Make sure to use calks format all and then flash the de odex version in cwm.. Followed by the modem in tye same session.. Then if you want cwm after just odin rogue fb21 rev 2 repack kernel and you should be alright.. Thats what i did.. If you read through the dev thread there was at least a page or 2 of them talking about it.. Kc was first to post the issue in that thread

Camera works fine for me.. Got fc on initial run.. Second run it loads up and works no problem

Had been documented well, within the thread. as well as the ROM was reuploaded to fix this

beweather can't update and FC's constantly. I've used beweather on FB15 and FB17 previously without a problem.

Works for me.. graphically it has some glitches when I go to settings, but the the rest works.

its same app but a different version, as the version that is available on the Epic is not compatible with ICS

The file is an apk but the download is a zip and it doesn't install. Where do I get the apk file?

You don't. You can use a third party text app and block it from view, but I find widgets like APW pull from the stock message app so they are still shown on the widget. You can also either wait and see if the cm team integrates a work around to hide them or use GV. I just use GV.

Is there a newer port than this? I like it, but the graphical issues are a bit of a problem. It happens on the main screen as well.

Unfortunately it sounds like it still streaks on CM9. It's something specific to CM9 that it causing it as it does not occur on CM7.

Using it on 2.3.16 working fine for me thanks for this!

Thanks for posting...there were like 2 updates since the initial port and I have been waiting for one that worked...I can confirm this runs flawlessly.

This is great and worksk well with CM9 B3. But How do I get rid off messages from 9016?

I'm on CM09ß3 and I don't see no difference. It's still redraws like before.

Facebook looking awfully weird

Hey everyone. My first post and I'm excited to have changed from CM7 to CM10! Thanks to the devs btw for making this possible. Anywho, I've searched for this already on here an Google to no avail. I've installed the Facebook app on my IC2 and for some reason, it looks like entirely different than the original. Doesn't look the same. I've provided a snapshot of it so hope it helps. And it's not just the layout that's changed but even my cover photo isn't visible. Anyone know what's going on?

mine did that when i came to PA, after a restart or two it gave me the option to update my facebook app and it went back to normal

Yeah unfortunately hasn't given me the option to update... yet. Hopefully it does in the near future...

I think it has to do with what the Facebook servers are giving you on cm10. I think its because jelly bean devices are all higher resolution than ours. It does it on the mobile website too, but if you change the user agent to iPhone on your browser it will look normal.

Phantom, parts of it look the same. But with the current version of Facebook for Android, I guess you could say that my layout for my wall looks entirely different. If you check it out on the Play store, mines doesn't look like that. Only the top portion seems to be okay. I don't even have a cover photo! But it's more of an annoyance than anything.

This has happened to me as well on CM9. I think the Facebook app thinks you are on a higher resolution device.

Yeah, I'm actually glad people know what I mean. I'm starting to agree with that. Probably explains why when I go to the Facebook site on the browser it sends me to the Facebook full site instead of the mobile. Hope they fix it soon!

Lol, Facebook is known to be slow on updates. For the time being, I just check Facebook on my computer... I don't need it for mobile.

So just thought I'd like to give a last update for this before I leave it floating in cyberspace... I upgraded to Global 4.1.2 JB and my Facebook layout came back. So basically everything is back to normal... I think. Maybe it was just a CM9 thing but cheers!

Use friend caster, along with this issue I was having more issues on top of that with the Facebook app. It just really....really sucks.

Sooooo.. one LAST update, I promise. Switched back to CM9 Psycho because CM10 right now was just too buggy for my phone. Everything with Psycho has been awesome, including camera. Anyways, that also brought me back to the original Facebook that I had when I started this post and it basically reverted but I rather have a stable phone than a distorted Facebook look. But I guess the problem just comes with CM9 altogether. Anyways, cheers! :silly:

i just use friendcaster its better all around anyways. may not be pretty but its hella functional. im sticking with that till we get a native fb app like we were promised.

I'm trying to use friend caster but the ads are killing me. I tried using lucky patcher to remove them but had no luck

Every browser crashes!!

Hi guys. I have a really annoying issue that I couldn't solve by myself. Every sammy based rom i flash i have this issue. Sometimes the browser ( every browser like boat, chrome, aosp browser, stock browser, firefox ecc ) freezes and close without any FC message. Tried to unistall flash player, reflash a rom with a full wipe without restoring backups of user data, fix permissions, wipe cache and dalvik but the issue is still present. I had this issue with several sammy roms and i don t know how to solve it.. can anyone help me? I don t want to go to aosp roms!

Same problem here.But it only happens with stock browser with me. Chrome works fine. Tried all of the above fixes but it doesn't work.

Also tried a megawipe script but no luck... Maybe I will try Chrome and see if it happens again.. even if I hate chrome cause is very slow and laggy at the moment...

Sometimes it's the same with chrome on my note 2. I'm using now chrome beta and that works perfect ...

I m using maxthon for last 1 year. It sometimea crashes qhen I play fullscreen video. Rest it is the best ever browser for me. I guess it has to do with flash player

I also have stock browser crashing when it never did before. I suspect one of the google updates that went through recently since besides app updates I haven't changed anything in months and I don't think any of the apps I have is embedded deeply enough to affect the browser. I've considered nandroiding back to trace it but it's a tough one to do since the crashing is somewhat random. Btw I don't have your video app installed (Maxthon).

I have the exact same problem with my N7100. In first thought I was sure that it was a software problem and I did all the steps you mentioned in your initial post...but there I had no luck as the problem kept coming. Then I gave it a try to my local samsung service point. The first time I sent them the phone they didn;t manage to solve the problem and they onlt did a factory reset. The second time I sent it they changed the mainboard (pcb/motherboard)...I thought I was done but guess......the problem was still there! But I am ok, I am now sure that it's a software bug.
I am using the opera browser which doesn't give me the stock browser problems (boat browser is also giving problems to me)!

I use chrome on Android and haven't seen that - does it change when you zoom?

It'll change if I zoom, scroll and "mess" around, but I can't reproduce it with the same behaviour one time after another. It's random. And sometimes it don't change at all, it stays unreadable.

@bitpushr it's something with the latest version from play store. I reverted to 32.0.1700.99 and the issue is gone.

Thanks, I too noticed this issue today and caught up this thread with the exact same issue. My chrome version is 33.0.1750.132 on Android 4.2.2. I will try reverting to previous version.

More information:
Some time ago I used chrome beta and had the same issue. That's why I started to use the stable chrome and everything was fine.
Though, I guess now with the latest stable release on play store the changes in the previous beta got merged.

Is there any way to send feedback for chrome? I left a feedback, but know nobody sees play store feedbacks

Hah, not sure. I've been messing around with line-height CSS settings, I thought perhaps that would fix the issue. I believe it has something to do with re-flow or lack of re-flow. It seems to me to be a bug within Chrome mobile browser since it doesn't show up on desktop. Perhaps if we all submit a "Report an Issue" eventually someone will see it?

@bitpushr I bet we can solve this by enabling or disabling some of the flag at chrome://flags

It seems to be a bug in Chrome out of our control - I was able to recreate the issue but various CSS settings (line-height) did nothing to fix the issue. It has to do with Chrome redraw I believe. Someone reported that they saw the same behavior on other sites so figured this one is above us. Please report the bug to the Chrome team as I think this is the best way to fix this.
