Got it, I was wondering if the ICS mms had something different.
I actually like the TW mms, but I'm sure someone can get the aosp to work on our phone.

im on an odexed rom so i cant try right now. ill post it and you can put it /system/app and see if it works. dont forget to set permissions.

That is deodexed. You need to use root explorer to put it in system/app then set permissions. There's 9 check boxes when you choose fix permissions. The 3 on the left and the top middle one need to be checked. Then reboot

As us Custom Rom users have found out.. Since coming out of Beta Google was nice enough to leave us without our "BELOVED CHROME"... I feel your pain my FELLOW MEMBERS!! This is what I did to get it to work and let me tell you...The NEW UPDATE IS FAAAAASSSTT!!! Also has some 3d animation going on as well... Without further adu...You will need Rom toolbox from the Market which I posted the link below... In Rom Toolbox there are 3 pages...If you swipe the screen to the left it will put you on page 2 (READS PERFORMANCE)..This is where YOU NEED TO BE.. TAP ON:build.prop Editor.....Scroll down to:ro.build.id and make sure it reads (IML74K) if it doesn't then change to IML74K.. Then click SAVE..Then Reboot and Download Chrome and then you should be all set to go...
EDIT:YOU "MUST" ALSO CHANGE:ro.build.display.id also to IML74K..... DON'T FORGET TO SAVE AFTER CHANGES ARE MADE!! THEN "REBOOT DEVICE!!
PLEASE READ:This will get browser working but only 25% of the time..Browser keeps freezing..Thanks to a few good members for the HEADS UP!! This community is AWESOME!!

I originally performed this on my phone...I can't see how it's only working on my Devices and nobody else !!
Did this on my Xoom running Team EOS nightly and all is great. Now i didn't use Chrome before this change so i can not tell you if it helped or not but chrome is working with the changes listed.

the build.prop edit is much better than the modded app.. with the build.prop edited you should be able to update app from the market vs waiting for the app to be modded.

I modified the phone.apk for AOKP rom to allow both a lower dpi and removal of the Phantom VM icon. I tested the lower DPI and confirmed it works but I don't have the Phantom VM, so I can't test it. This may work on other AOSP roms but I am not sure. If you have Phantom VM, please report back if it fixes. Thank you.

ok guys, here we go again this time its the Android 4.2 keyboard w/ gesture typing (pulled from Nexus 4, so YES its official)!
Prerequisites: Must be running 4.0+
Installation instructions for non-AOSP roms w/ overlay ie Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, Sony (reported to be a working method w/AOSP roms ie CM 9/10, AOKP)
1. download the apk and place it on your sd card
2. use your favorite file explorer and tap the apk (make sure you have "install from unknown sources" enabled in your phone settings)
3. go into your phone's keyboard settings and enable "Android keyboard"
4. enjoy!

Sammy keyboard is better
I miss the punctuation options like in original ICS and GB these new ones that don't correct spaces with a comma , (exhibit a) is annoying. But this keyboard is nice looking nonetheless and the Gesture is just like swype just looks like a stock keyboard now. I like it.

on my RAZR this would have been key
on my s3 i am not a fan of swype like keyboards at all. way to hard for me to reach the other side of the keyboard.
i like that google has worked on this keyboard. unfortunately i will wait till swiftkey flow.

As the comments in the Android Police article say it seems to be an old version, the one in videos of the Nexus 4 show a different popup for the word it's thinking you're trying to swipe.
Also some words with double letters seem to not work, such as "Off" Even while circling F a few times.

Yeah, that's where I first noticed it. For some reason I can't install Jellyverse, may be to do with that I'm on a MVNO. Was hoping for a way to do it separately.
I have a perfect working flashable apk I didnt make it and dont know who did, got it on XDA and would gladly thank and give credit to the creator. For some reason its smoother than the ones on the new jellybean builds. Been using it for a few months, it was ported to the I9100 but works flawlessly on ICS E4GT, using it now on the Blu Kuban. I dont know how to post a zip here, but I can email to you..............EDIT, All thanks for the work figuring this out and porting to sgs2 I9100 "danieldmm" works great on our E4GT. you can definitely go to the I9100 themes and apps and thank this man

So I think I already know the answer to my question but it never hurts to ask...i suppose. Is there any way to get the best gallery for android (this one) to work on cm 10.1? I flashed and nothing. Its because the gallery is touchwiz correct?
