For some reason using tapatalk to browse xda is getting worse and its not the app as it works fine with other forums.
First search failed to work a lot of the time, showing zero results, then report button vanished, a lot of unable to connect to forum errors and now it won't show (at least not today) any participated threads.
Anyone know why? It is annoying that I have to search through every forum to see if threads I post in have new posts

I didnt even realise there was a report button. today has proved problematic though, had to find a computer just to locate this thread again. gonna bookmark it so i can find it on tapatalk in a bit, nearly all my reading for this forum is from this app, its the only forum im having troubles with.
I have the same thing. My favrioute forums-DEAD my participated-DEAD and for half of todsy up until now xda was dead

As others have said, there are updates currently happening which explains to problems like no participated, no search and no posts showing on profile. But if you can access the desktop site, even through your phone if need be, there's no such problems because I've been using it fine all day.
But in regards to the report button, it's been gone from the app for ages. It was removed across all versions because it was causing too many problems, if I remember correctly anyway.

We've applied an update which adds search back. After some testing, some functions are fixed however there are still some functions broken, such as when you look at your profile and try to view all of your posts. Working with the plugin provider to get these all fixed up. Thanks for your patience.

Edit: Grabbed the 3d and moved it. And expect another sticky thread coming soon to a theater near you about questions in the dev section. I'm about to start just deleting them and infracting. I've tried to be nice about it, but it's getting really old to myself and senior members here.

I am running 2.3.6 on my galaxy s2 unrooted. It was on it when I bought it. This mourning I wake up and it says there was an update for it. So I did the update but it still says im on 2.3.6 the only thing I see different is the lock screen. I was wondering if anyone else got this and what exactly is different

You may already know this if you've had experience with previous phones, but take your time and thoroughly read threads before doing anything. Your phone was cheap to get, but will be expensive to replace if you brick it. There is at least one dev here who frequently posts roms that never work (but the descriptions make them sound awesome), so read more than the first post--check out the last pages too.

Here's the link to the Note camera/gallery thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32293258. When you flash it, you'll have a 2nd gallery and a 2nd camera. You'll need to delete data for the new gallery and reboot to get it working. The only thing I've seen that doesn't work in it is the "Cartoonify" effect. And the name of the dev I was referring to earlier is droidmodder. He seems to be trying hard, but hasn't been very successful yet. People give him a lot of crap in his threads because the roms apparently have never worked. But who knows...one of these days he might be awesome.

Due to additional loads on our servers caused by search functionality, I've disabled certain pages on the Tapatalk/XDA app. These include: Unread, All and Participated areas. We are working with the plugin provider and on our own to fix these performance errors and hope to have an update soon.
Update 2013.04.08: The vendor provided a patch which looks like it brought 'Participated Threads' search back but Unread/All still seem to be broken. Will update when I have more info.

Actually no. What he's saying is those tabs on Tapatalk utilize the search functionality to build their content. Not proof at ALL that people use the search functionality.

I wasn't doing much today, now that the semester is over. So I felt like experimenting with our great phone. I think we all notice that the international models offer MUCH more currently active support. So I wanted to find out how much some of the mods and such were compatible. I flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721839, and surprisingly, so far, everything is working out ok. I would highly advise to backup a current nandroid just in case. Obviously this isnt my work, nor am I publishing this mod as in a specific ROM other than the creators. Completely on my time and my risk.
So tell me what you guys think.

Alliance ROM work with our variant as well so Im assuming this would work. Im currently working on other things for DBooster right now so could you post screen shots of it working and Phone info screen (ROM name,etc) so other may test. If it works, Ill add to Index thread in general for other to try.

Yeah I found it eventually last night and flashed it but didn't like it because you can't make your own theme and you can't get rid of the speed indicator in the status bar. Restored my backup.
This was a good mod but it broke mms hope thats fixed so I can use it
