[Q] Battery issue?? - HTC One X

Well I feel something is ****ed up with my one x.
I charged it yesterday before I went to sleep and left the device off.
And now when I woke up, I turned it on and saw my battery is 96.
Ok so I left it with the screen off until now, about 3 hours
And I see the battery went down to 83% (When i started to write this topic I were 86%)
What is wrong with the battery?
Never heard about a phone that the battery is still getting down even when its off

Are you rooted

Post the battery screen with the usage graph on it. I suspect you have an app preventing deep sleep.

If its not a deep sleep prpble try and wipe battery status helped me or try 8.1.0 my phone working great now and I'm still on stock kernel how is Faux going to try it soon

Battery charge level went up without charging?
That's very strange, but during that time the screen was on and it wasn't sleeping.
It's all a bit odd.

I did charge the hpone from 0% to 100% as you can see there...
but then you just see the huge drop from 100% to 77% in no time

Charge to 100% and wipe battery status in cwm

Battery jumping

Good day everyone, I've been using CM9 for awhile now and its been an awesome ride so far. Everythings been working almost perfectly. Recently, my batteries(stock one) percentage level's been Jumping up and down...a lot. For instance, I woke up to it (while off) having 100% on the indicator, turned it on, and it dropped to 51%, re-booted it to see if that'd help but it dropped again to 12%. This kindof things been happening for awhile and still with Alpha 2. Should I just get a replacement from sprint? Or is there a workaround.
Also, Music's apparently been taking up to as much as 40% of my battery usage even though If don't even have it activated at the moment. I've tried deleting the apk but it appears com.android..., I may just be being a noob, but any help?

Jump" is typical when you don't power off completely and then power back on no work around other than turn it off leave the battery out for like 3 or 4 minutes and power it back up

Have you tried calibrating ur battery? Give that a try and see if that doesn't stop it completely.

Apparently calibrating the battery according to some Android Engineer does nothing. The percentage you have left is directly related to the voltage of the battery. So if you are at 3.95 volts, that roughly corresponds to 50% with a range of 3.7 to 4.2 Volts on the battery. What the OP saw is the bbb...battery boot bug. If you are rebooting and you are lower than 70% do it while plugged into something. If it does happen as Biggie stated, simply remove the battery for a couple of minutes and reboot. It is a false report to the phone.
This has almost always been a issue for me when I flash anything new. It stays that way for until I deplete the battery, connect and leave connected til 100%, deplete the battery and follow the same process for about 3 full cycles and then all is well! Leaving battery out for a breather sometimes helps but I installed an app that has a widget and it keeps the regulating kinda monitered so I can be a little more at ease. Will post directly after this. But I also noticed that there have been times when the readout was a very low battery red [but I knew couldn't be true] and after I put it in airplane mode and didn't bother it for 5-10 minutes when I looked back again, battery would be yellow almost back to showing good and my battery stats show the levels increased. I think cm9 can't handle too much at one time anyways
Edit: that app I think is called battery info. Its pretty simple =) hope it helps! L8rz
Edit2: that app is listed in market as battery widget not battery info

Left the phone idle after I pulled the charger. Came back and it's already below 90% (87) I haven't used any apps,as you see only the usual stuff show up.

Researched a bit and heard cell standby could be the issue, are mine normal? Can't tell.
How long was it off the charger for? Also I would be more worried about wifi, if your actually using wifi then yeah leave it turned on but if you're letting the phone just sit there I would try turning it off but I don't user wifi so I'm not sure. You can also try turning the brightness settings down.other then that it looks normal to me.
Sent from my R800x using XDA
Brightness is always below 50%,I keep around 25%.
So 2 hours off the charger, wifi on and idle,87% is normal? Everytime I turn it on just to check the battery it drops 2%, I don't think that's normal.
Honestly that's probably normal if you were away for an hour or so or if you left wifi on. Battery life also depends on which kernel you're using as well.

I'm using DooMKernel v14
Installed Juice Defender, did some tests and just after I unplug, it took a while to go down to 99% took 10 minutes while watching YouTube on 3G but as it got down to 95 % the battery just drains quickly , went to 85% in 5 minutes while browsing the web
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk 2
i noticed the same thing
i lost my old charger so i bought a new one and thats when i first started having this issue.
phone would seem to charge faster than before but died faster as well when using this charger. (this was my work charger). at home i use laptop to charge and takes longer but lasts longer.
also noticed phone got warmer when charging at work. so i returned that charger and got a different one and problem solved.
so if your using a different charger recently a new one may help
WiFi seems the culprit. Maybe Google how to set the wifi scanning interval
Sent from my Xperia Play using Tapatalk 2
I'll try a different charger. The phone does get hot when plugged in.
Better Battery stats.
I'll bet one of your apps (a wifi app) isnt sleeping, and thats why you are losing the battery.

How is everyone finding the battery life on CM10?

I would have asked this in the thread, but I'm new so can't make posts there. Anyways, for me it's pretty terrible.
It's been 9 hours and 51 minutes off charge and my batter is at 40%. The screen on time is 34 minutes and set to autobright. Anyone else getting anything this bad?

How long have you been using this ROM for ? It usually takes at LEAST 2-3 days of use before battery stats improve. That goes for every new ROM you install.
The battery in cm10 is great I'm seeing 1% per hour in standby just run a few cycles it will calm

I've been using p12v2 the day it came out, but I've been using the ROM since p5. Should I just run it through a few full cycles then?

I recently had quite good battery life on eprj cmx(10). I got about 3.5h screen-on time, and in total a time of 6.5h. Look at my quote below(yip I just did quote myself).

How are you all getting so much battery life out of it?
Mine doesn't even last a day, with like 1 hour screen time.
Any tip appreciated, thanks.
Im also losing battery fast...even when im not using it, kept it in deep sleep, it still losing battery about 1% in 5 minute...is any kernel that good with battery life...there is something that eating the power...
me too is losing the battery fast, even after updated to ARHD 17.1 (JB), it sucks a lot where it could drop to 40% within four hours and minimal screen on usage. Really make me wonder if it is hardware problem because have flashed different ROM but still yield the same result.
hit it with a thunder...that should do the trick
I think the best battery life Rom it is venom viperx...after 24 hours with 3 g and data on I have 2%...the screen was on 2h13 m with auto brightness and calls 1h55m...some mails,facebook,xda...I think i'm not gonna try jb...this rom it's perfect and verry customizable:thumbup::beer:
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I also had major problems with battery life on my HOX. My solution so far is to dissable synchronization of Google Contacts, This gives me a gain of at least 50% generally.
I've attempted to dissable services one by one, and Contacts appears to be the culprit.
Try this and let us know..
Edit:
Im on stock JB european rom
Been watching a movie on MXplayer and battery is down to 68% from 100%, screen on time is 1 hour 50 minutes. Which suggests that I can watch movies for 4 hours+.
Don't have the screenshots to prove it now that i've started charging my phone.
Oh yeah, matt95 measured it by the screen using 45% out of those hours, which equals 9.3 hours. Doubt that it's right though.

Hi
first you should charge your device to 100% then work to device off normally.
Now full charge! this can help you , if it can't help ,you can install a battery calibration app.
Btw KITKAT consume battery so much more than JB, it's naturally.

You could try calibrating it with this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=en
Let us know how the Napster seeds get squished into the monkey marrow. =-}
I have the same issue but not that hectic as yours, mine takes forever to charge, like more than 10 hours but it drains quickly, probably half the time it charges and while using it laying down while. It's charging it doesn't go up, rather the battery gets drained and this is while I'm charging it. I'm using nolekat v1.5 and for the moment now I will wait till I get to 100% battery then I will calibrate it. Will let you know how it worked out.

Unfortunately the battery calibration didn't work for me so it's either I reflash my rom and do a clean wipe again or manually remove my battery for 5mins and put it back on.

I'm curious. Did it work?
I'm sorry I'm debating whether to do it still cause I don't wanna install all my stuff all over again and do the process but the calibration definitely didn't help. If I ever do it I'll let you know but for the moment I won't yet.
