Hi all
Iam want to ask about ram
Coz i h've been using v6 supercharger+Some small tweaks
But my ram score is 129 in benchmark please help me
Thanks a lot if u want to help me

Think about this yourself. RAM speed depends on the technology process (SDRAM DDR2, DDR3..) and raw speed (measured in Mhz) and latency. Those scores in benchmarks are just theoretic. Test again and you will see some small fluctuations between tests.
Those tweaks you have are just RAM management improvements (or not) I.E. How our SGY handles available RAM.

i searched the forum bt wasnt able to get an answer which i would understand so cn any body explain me wht is overclocking?
The clock speed of the CPU on the Tilt2 is 528 Mhz. This is the fastest safe speed the CPU is certified for by the manufacturer. Overclocking allows you to make that CPU run faster. Many do this with no ill effects. I've always had random lockups so I do not overclock.
overclocking is...
making a processor run at speeds greater than the manufacturer intended.
so. in the case of the rhodium (touch pro2/tilt2)
overclocking is increasing the 528MHz processor to a higher clock speed.
overclocking the rhodium's processor should...
in turn. increase the performance of the overall device.

Hello @ all,
as you might know we have only 343MB of RAM available to the user on our Arcs, but we have a total of 512MB RAM.
I did some research and found out that the most phones with 512MB RAM have 370-400MB or even more RAM out of the 512MB available to the user.
I know that there is something reserved for the system, but normally it's less.
But sometimes I'd really like to have a few MB more RAM available when I do multitasking or a lot of stuff is running.
So the question is if we can unlock more RAM for us and an even better user experience? And if yes, how to do it.
Regards,
Flo
May be a mix from a swap partition and the supercharger script is the right for you
The supercharge script optimize the memory management of android
Already have SuperCharger V6 installed.
Does a really great job and fixed the problem with LauncherPro Plus redrawing often.
But still I'd like to have more RAM available...
For example the X10 with 384MB has ~280MB available, so we should have ~410MB available on the Arc. And not just 60MB more...

No you can not unlock the RAM or ROM for further use, you however can optimize it by using external scripts and the reason for 343 megs being available is because around 150-170(approx) megs of RAM is being used by the graphics (GPU).... u did not account for that now did u... . Now maybe just maybe u can use a custom made kernel to squeeze some more juice out of the RAM...but no major RAM increase
Ah, okay.
But somehow it's possible.
Today I saw a review of a custom ROM on youtube for an Evo 3D...
And other phones with the same GPU have less memory reserved.
E.g. Desire HD, Desire Z
Strange that SE reserves that much

Your phone reserves memory for hardware, camera for example. It works the same way as reserved memory for integrated graphics on computers. We have HD recording in the arc now that has to come from somewhere, and just where would that place be?........the RAM. SE has tried very hard to squeeze in some very good features into the arc and that's why I guess they made a trade off with the RAM, and all these features require RAM and its not a luxury that SE has to reserve all that RAM but a necessity so we users can enjoy some great HD recording and amazing resolution.
One more thing even though the Desire HD and Xperia Arc do share the same processor (MSM8255 SnapDragon) the HTC Desire HD has 768 MB RAM and 1.5 GB of internal flash memory data storage and the Desire Z on the other hand uses a MSM7230 SnapDragon even though the GPU is the same the processors differ the MSM8255 is 1GHz and the MSM7230 is 800MHZ and in the overall equation of memory reserving other than the GPU the CPU has its part to play too and a very imp one...hope ur getting the idea and the GPU in the MSM8255 is a marked improvement over the GPU the 'Z' has. Now even though HD does have lesser memory reserved its not that big a difference. However on the arc, the camera is way much better than on the HD (camera-->RAM) so SE has used some more memory for better features.
I think everybody want to have more ram and more ram
but only thing that we can do is tweaking our system again and again.
I´am for example using the supercharger v6 option 4 and a swap partition and its great to see some improfment
I am looking for tweaks all the days but i am not so good in android so it need time
Ok, then.
If it has to be like that...
Just want to get the optimum out of my Arc.
Maybe a dev will come with a kernel that unlocks just a little bit more with keeping all the features

my DhD has 621MB Ram. I wannet to know Is It possible to add ram to DHD and increase its RAM to 1024MB?
Anything is possible. But generally speaking, no.

I mean is there RAM Slots like Computer or not?
Not physically, Generally mobile devices like phones and tablets have SoC (system on chip). Everything is built into one chip, including CPU, GPU, RAM etc. It is possible, however it is not cost efficient nor is it a do-yourself job Other possibility is diverting some of the RAM used by the GPU to be used for some app. This is a kernel thing. For example: if You use a 3D heavy app => the kernel dedicates 256MB to the GPU and 512MB to the CPU; if You don't use the GPU much, the kernel would dedicate lets say 64MB to the GPU (more than enough for smooth internet, but not with videos browsing) and 704MB to the CPU and system. I know it is possible, but haven't seen anyone do it so far.
PS btw why the hell would You need more RAM than the DHD has? Currently there are no more than 5 devices with more RAM.
Thanks a lot
there is not a an important reason to extend my ram.but i thought it's good if is possible
Is there any Kernel available for our device? That is compatible with 4.43 and 5.1.1 Stock or custom roms? Can someone make it? Hehe. Thanks.
Has features like:
- A very fast kernel that improves Ui smoothness and performance without overclocking Cpu and Gpu. Like other phones that has similar specs.
- CPU Overclock to 1.6 GHz.
- Adreno 305 Overclock to 500 MHz or higher that won't affect phones lifespan. (Galaxy Mega 6.3 has Gpu clock at 500 MHz so it's possible for our device.)
- An equal or better Battery Life.
Dear I'm on stock and there is no issues regarding speed or multitasking.
Hmm, well there is, MTK6582 has no fps drop in the ui. Smilarly Snapdragon 400 is better (based on people thoughts)When you update T2 to Lollipop there is an fps drop happening on the ui, specialy the Notification Drop down bar. Where I happened to test a local smartphone that has same 720p display and ram but has a very smooth fps. Whereareas in games both device are similar in performance. Its just weird that Ui lags in SD400 T2 Ultra while local phone has MTK6582 is smoother but in games are similar. Its just sad to not see smooth ui in T2 even on Kitkat.
It has to be a mistake, but Antutu shows an impressive score of 20.691 points, similar to newer platforms equiped with 4 cores CPUs and 2Gb of fast memory.
The actual configuration that gets this score is:
[ROM][AOSP][Unified] Unlegacy-Android MarshMallow build ua_tuna-ota-20170116.zip
F2FS Data partition. ext4 in System/Cache
Greenify properly configured to hibernate not used background apps.
The normal app load used in the terminal
As seen in the attached screenshot, 3D sucks with a score of 226 points (absolutelly normal), but the rest os the scores are amazing. Well, in fact, in my opinion the system is very smooth and apps runs quite well, but I think no in the way they should with a terminal in this real score in multitasking and memory performance. Is because of this I think this score is really artificially increased, or perhaps the potencial performance is degraded due the scarce 1 GB of RAM, in daily use.
I know that Antutu is not a real performance index but its relative scores places every device in an almost correct place of real performance.
What do you think?
