Look out carriers, ROM developers can now push Android updates!

I might be wrong but hasn't ROM manager had this for a while?

Yep. And goo has this feature as well. Both will automatically check.

ROM manager and goo aren't exactly the same per se. What this does is use androids built-in ota update service for a more streamlined update approach.

This new method should in theory be easier and is the same as just going to About Phone and clicking update.

I assume that these are not delta updates though?

They can be. It all depends on the developer.

Dude we've only had ICS for less than 3 months. Slow your roll. Well more like to get ports from the skyrocket since they're getting it officially very shortly. No telling when the t989 will be getting it officially.

No, we are not getting official Jelly Bean at all. The only Samsung devices getting it in the US are the S3 (All carriers), Nexus S 4G (Sprint), and Galaxy Nexus (Verizon, Sprint).

The article I read only said that those 2 devices were getting JB. I am sorry. I was just passing along the info that I read.
