Any idea what may have happened to my browsers using mobile data?
Specifically www.mautofied.com isn't working on T-Mobile. I turn my wifi on and its working fine.
Both stock browser and chrome will not load that specific website. Other sites are not affected.
I have tried a cache wipe.
Could it be T-Mobile error?

Working fine for me also,I'm using ics browser +
Are you being throttled? I'm being throttled and i'm getting speeds to the point where sites almost always time out. Also, try toggling your mobile data connection. Sometimes, my phone says connected to a network when it isn't and sites don't load but never say no internet connection.

Currently running latest nightly of CM7. Anyone know why the speed test.net app only gives me servers from other countries? Currently in ND. The choices I get are London and such. Is there a way to force it to see my actual location/tweak something so I can say which server to use? Thanks in advanced!

I had that happen once and a data toggle fixed it. Have you tried that?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Data toggle. clear app data. Re enabled data. Then opened it up again. Got it in the states at least. Still nothing close to me though.

I've randomly seen weird things like no Illinois servers or anything but they eventually show again.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I wonder if this is app related or ROM related. I just hooked up to my home wifi and the right server came up. Then when I switched back to mobile data it disappeared again. Its wired.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Hmm, what ROM? Can't say I've noticed these things consistently when on different ROMs. Haven't tried them all anyways but usually just a random once a month - if that - hiccup. The European server list only happened once though.

I can't get the phone to tether. When I connect to the phone it says no internet access detected. I notice on my phone only the up arrow is showing. Anyone have a solution for this?
When I turn it on my laptop will say connected no Internet access... If I wait a few mins then try browsing it will work.. Guess it takes a few mins to establish the connection.. Try that

I am using the Simple Mobile network, but it won't let me tether.
You have to root your phone. get titanium back up and freeze wifi manager and after that it should work. It works fine for me after I did this. There is a post already on this. I hope it works.

i tried wifi tether for root users and set it to generic but it starts with the errors with "setting channel, setting essis, setting ad-hoc mode, activating wifi interface, and loading wifi driver" any ideas how to fix that?

Who is the maker of this app and do you need to root the phone to make it work?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app

ok tried a couple different times with this app but
why is it I can not get speedtest.net to come up and all my web pages are pretty slow to load on my laptop
any further configuration settings needed for this WIFI tether app
No other settings that i know of. But I'm really starting to wonder about the radio on this phone. It just seems to have good and bad moments. With WiFi also.

Are you able to get to speedtest.net on the computer you WiFi into your phone with to see what difference is between the 2 tests
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
At work, so no. Honestly, never been concerned with speeds. As long as it works im fine. Might be able to test later with my tablet tho.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Still think the radio in this thing is not that great. Reception fades more with this phone than the one it replaced. And that one sucked too.
Anyway, speedtest was all over. Anywhere from 300k to a best of 1900. Ran it probably 8 or 9 times.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
If run the speed test app on the phone what do you get
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
About 1300-1400k. Which is about right.

I normally get 13 megabytes per second to 22 megabytes per second down and around 10 megabytes per second up on my phone when I tether via bluetooth dun I get about 6 megabytes per second down and 2 megabytes per second up on my PC. After root in using wifi tether I am NOT able to get to speedtest.net to check on my PC

When I turn on my data it switches between 3g and 4g and I can't even figure it out
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
That is how it is supposed to work, nothing to figure out.
My gfs phones never switches or anything my phones does all the time
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
What is she on and it never switches to what? If she hasn't updated her modem it will stay on 3g all the time. It is like this on every AOSP rom for our phone. Unless there is a theme that edits it out.
If speedtest says it's fine, it's fine.
It just switches from 4g to 3g all the time but I guess I'll have to live with it

Its how its suppose to work. H shows when cell data is accessed and when idle it shows 3g... Not sure why it bugs some people.

When you use your wifi hotspot on your device how does tmobile actually see how much is being used weekly, monthly. Thanks
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
Are you talking the stock T-Mobile wifi hotspot ? It sees every bit .... If your using foxfi, i dont think it sees any of it as tethered ....
How does tmobile tell how much data your using? Is there an app that I can see how much hotspot data that I using. Thanks

the tmobile app

All data is viewed as thethering irregardless of the app used. Tethering is done via their servers now, not the device. Best way around it is using a VPN
