My phone keeps freezing after disconnecting my phone from the iBolt car dock using the stock car home app. It stays at the lock screen and cannot unlock, only bring down the notification bar. I downloaded car home ultra but have not tried it with the dock to see if this app also recreates the issue. I would rather get the stock car home app to work as I like it a little better. Any advice or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried coming out of car dock before disconnecting from ibolt, this is what I do without any problem.
Andy-Do you mean pressing the back button and clicking OK on the pop up then disconnecting from the dock? I just did that this morning and it still froze. Thanks.
Yep that's what I meant, have you tried with and without case if you have one on. Also turning off auto dock and doing it manually once seated.
Will give those ideas a try and let you know.

My PDA2k seems to be turning itself off even when in use :?
I use TomTom3 in the car, and even when the power is plugged into the bottom it was turning off ever few minutes.
I just took a phone call and when I has finished talking I noticed the screen had gone blank and pressing the red handset didn't bring it back, the power button did. (I do have screen lock on).
Having said that, thinking about it, I was watching TV progs on WMP on the way home and it never shut itself off once :?:
Anyone have any idea what is going on? Is this normal?
I have an o2 XDA2 S running TomTom 3 with the TomTom cradle. I occassionally find that the pda just turns itself off.
It doesn't happen all the time.
I have also found that sometimes during a call the pda turns itself off and I cant get it back on by pressing the handset key, just the on off button.
Cheers

click start>settings>system>backlight . . in here you can change the time it takes to turn off in not touched the device, 5 mins max.... also if you click button lock in system settings, you can set it so that when it happens, you can tap screen and it comes back on again.... tho i prefer to keep that off, otherwise it may ring people while it its protective case..
and going by all the software that is out for these xda's, you can prob find a programe /or hack to change it even longer if you need that!!!
But when it is on external power (plugged into the car using TT3), it shouldn't shut down at all. Aside that, when in use (when receiving a call) I wouldn't think it should shut down should it?
I have a seperate scren lock installed too. I found the built in one not enough. When it is in my belt pouch and I get a text, or connect to my BT car kit or something, it wakes it up. All of a sudden all the keys are being pressed (by the squeeze of the case) and all kinds of applications are opening!
While I have my D2G in the home I have the time displayed, after removing the phone from the dock and I try to return to the home screen my phone gets all kinds of screwed up. Most times as I hit the return button it will scroll through my apps that I had opened for the past day or two- but in no particular order. Sometimes when I hit the home key it will launch voice commands, most times it will do nothing! Removing from the car dock gives me similar headaches.
Why can't I just remove the phone and be on my merry way?
My D2G is running 2.2 Froyo and Z4 rooted.

Anyone know where I can buy a USB cable to make the phone think its in car mode..?
If you dock the phone into a proper car dock it auto clicks it into car mode, if you plug it into the same power source with a normal cable it doesnt do the same thing. So it has to be a pin configuration in the dock/cable...?

You can config multiple tasks.
For example my setup:
-when connected it turns on bluetooth, wifi and gps.
-if it connects to my car stereo via bluetooth, it opens the gps app, and starts to play music
-if it connects to my home wifi, and is at night, it goes to silent mode
-when disconnected from power it turns everything to it previous state
Try to play around with settings, with the right configuration you wont ever need any kind of special dock again.
Since yesterday my phone will reandomly bot into car mode after pressing an icon. Just this morning I launched facebook from the dock bar the phone buzzed and went to car mode. Few minutes later i went to settings, from the home screen (apex launcher function) and did it again.
It will also sometimes make the sound when you plug it into charger but for no reason.
FWIW I use a 3rd party car dock, but have done so since the phone came out and never had any problems, besides which it is only a replacement for the standard dock.
HELP?! so annoying.

My Moto 360 is about 2 and a half years old. All of a sudden, the touch screen has mostly stopped responding. I can't get into Settings to power it down and see if that resolves the issue. I can sometimes get the top menu to pull down and once got into Settings using two fingers, then eventually to the Systems button, but couldn't get it to go to the Power Off. Sometime last week, I noticed that the watch wasn't going to the old dock face while on the charger. There was a tiny charging icon at the top, so I figured it was part of the latest update. The watch has been charging and working normally since then, up until today, that is. I'm not getting the little icon on the charger, but the charger light is going on. Haven't left the watch on the charger long enough to know if it's done any good.
Now, I can press the side button to get to the app list, but can't scroll through. I can't turn off an alarm. Holding the power button only gets me to the voice recognition system, which works, but I can't finish anything because I can't get the screen to respond. My MotoG 5gen phone seems to be triggering watch behavior all right.
Pretty much all of the suggestions that I found in my searches involve rebooting the watch. But I can't reboot because I can't get the watch to shut down. I tried disconnecting the Bluetooth from the phone. Haven't tried forgetting the watch just in case I can't connect again.
I have been having minor issues with the watch disconnecting from the phone if I've left the phone in one room while I do something in another part of the house. Can't say how often because I haven't been paying attention, but maybe once a week or less. I power one or both down and it's been fine.
Now what?
