What is bada and does it effect skyrocket? - Bada Software and Hacking General

I'm not exactly sure where to put this so here it is. Lol, what is bada? I seen the bada thing on the forums and it sparked my interest, especially sense I love Samsung phones and don't plan on going to a different brand. Also does any of it have anything to deal with skyrocket? Thanks.

What is skyrocket?
Can you give please model number like this...
If Wave is GT-S8500 with bada...
Then your Skyrocket is what?
I am too lazy like you to use Google.
Best Regards

bada is a Samsung owned OS that is somewhat abandoned and not really that interesting:

[MOD] I9100 ROM Hellraiser for I777 (Alpha 0.3.1, 12/3/2011) [BUGS/DEV ONLY]
Can't wait for are development to start picking up, seems like the I777 is starting to pick up?. Maybe we will get some of that love once are developers start porting the I777 roms over here. I'm pretty sure the I9100 has the most rom selection out of the SSGS 2 line up.
i777 is not the same as i727
2 different phones
i727 is a direct evil twin of the t989
but i777 is the cousin of i9100 or ATT version of the international SGS2

I see, guess I jumped the gun... what's the purpose of the skyrocket?. If they already had a SSGS 2 why make another?.

I wish they would have just made the internals the same. So the biggest thing holding the T989 back from using roms from other SSGS2 is the processor ?.

If they would have made the internals the same, people would be happy that we had ROMs but would be complaining about NO HSPA+ or LTE ... So Personally this phone is a beast regardless of having GB or ICS ... ICS will get here when it gets here ...
I wish we had a fully working CM ROM or stock ICS but at this point the phone works so I'm not bugging out.
Wake me up when we get ICS...

Real sweet idea for an app (nfc)

Anyone remember tamigotchi's from back in the day? And then ones that could link together to battle?
I thought it would be pretty cool to make an app similar to that and use NFC as a means to battle them.
Anyone else think thats a cool idea?
I was looking for a tomigatchi but this sounds better. Let's do it!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Battling would be like Digimon, lol. I had both Tamagotchi and Digimon as a kid.

Here's a pic. Hahaha, boy does this bring back memories.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Love the idea
but I'm not sure NFC works like that?
I doubt you'd want to have your phones back to back all the time. That wouldn't be very fun. Best would be to use NFC to initiate a Bluetooth pair or WiFi connection.
Even if you just created an online game with user names to search for and fight I think some people would bite.

I know there was a Tamagotchi app created a long time ago on XDA. I'd like to see what happened with that, but if you start something up like this then I'll definitely hop on this.

someone did a similar idea in a game. but its about the phones having sex (via NFC).
I'm not kidding.

Galaxy S Blaze 4G Port?

Will any of the GS2 developers port their ROMs over to this new phone? It doesn't look too different. My brother recently got the phone and I checked the development, which was pretty slow. Shame too, given it's a powerhouse.
I apologize in advance if this topic has been brought up before.

Shouldn't be too bad I think because the hardware is mostly the same from what I understand. I would attempt something but I'd probably Bork it all up.

That's what I thought. Both have same Processor and screen resolution. A lot of ROMs here are porting the Blaze Radios too, so I don't think I'd be a huge challenge. Then again, I know nothing about development. Hopefully someone will jump on the bandwagon.

Heard about this today and definitely caught my eye. Still at least a year from a factory device but I did see that they will be planning on releasing this on the nexus and seeing as the s3 is one of the largest selling devices I can see the international version receiving this and hopefully our device
Will be keeping an eye on the development of this for sure.

Is already going to be released for the galaxy nexus and supposedly it will be available for any equivalent or better android phone at side point. Even if it isn't official I can see a developer porting this.

"Seriously, no one wants to do that kind of multi-directional swipe. That ignores the fact that the guy demonstrating can't read the text under his finger. And if he used his left hand he wouldn't be able to see the icon."
