It's very easy, flash the ICS ftf, and power on, then off ,
flash the baseband from F.111, the letest LT28i system. using the flashtool, just simply except system fota kernel etc and left only baseband.
then power up and make sure that you have already set up the APN then you'll see the 4G icon upon the signal bar.
DO NOT FLASH ANY AT&T Version baseband, ICS or GB. it'll stop in the XPERIA over and over again.
= =|| in the previous post, the except should be exclude= =can't edit it because i'm "new" here- -..sorry for that..
and here's my lt28at's screen shot, flashed ICS with F.111 baseband.

Hi Guys,
I am trying to get the 36 baseband working on the new .62 firmware..
Does anyone have any tips or a guide to get it working as my screen is always blank when I turn the phone on after flashing just the baseband.. I have tried many methods and different kernels but have had no joy.. I have a UK GSM R800i
When the screen is blank the blue light still comes on with doomkernel etc..
Thanks in advance
have you tried Wotan Client click advanced and select the baseband and flash?
You'll also need a account but its free Wotanserver.com

Don't use those libs, they're for the Arc (there's some Play ones around I think). You don't have to install them though, the baseband will work fine without them

If you flashed the -36 baseband correctly, it should say 36. Unless i have misunderstood what you have done.
Yes
i was originally running .42 flashed using flash tool and generic .62 firmware on ly baseband. Phone settings showed the last 2 digits of baseband as being 62. Did this because I was intending to use ICX rom. Changed my mind and decided to install doomkernel v10 for improved battery. Used generic (world) .368 firmware and flashed only baseband using flashtool ( did not install libs for .36 baseband as couldn't find play specific ones). Now last two digits show as 56 in phone settings, I thought they should show as 36.
Hope that clears up my question

if you are rooted and flash 4.0.4, u will end up soft brick your device after the first time you turn off the phone on ICS. I have tested it. If you want ICS, make sure you flash back to stock first. this will prevent this happen.

I flashed it to my lt28at with no problems, so have at it.
For those having problems downloading: do a quick search in your engine of choice for "udown 115 download." You should find a link to their downloader app (Windows only, boo-hiss). Click all the buttons that are glowing blue and you'll be ready-to-roll. It's a very easy app to figure out even if you don't read Chinese. The big buttons do what you'd assume they do.

It's much smoother, I get no lags or redraws now, or the Launcher restarting, .452 was quite annoying from that point of view, even with the build.prop tweak.
I noticed it didn't enter deep sleep properly at first (flashed it without wiping data), but I reset the battery (power+volume up) and I'm not having that problem anymore.
Battery life seems to be on par with .452, maybe a bit better. WiFi signal is still weaker than it was on Gingerbread.

Don't bother! APN has all to do with getting your data connection up and running, but nothing to do with locking on the network in the first place (which is a pre-requisite to getting data service).
This is between your phone, the SIM card and the cellular network.
What, if anything, have you been doing with the phone to get there? More specifically, have you played with the service menu (*#1973* etc.)?
What happens when you do a network search? Is any operator network listed in the result at all? Have you tried the same SIM in another phone that is known to work to check if it sees your operator network and with what strength? Have you tried in different places (places known to be close to one of your operator networks antennas, where coverage would be optimal).
I would first use another phone and look for one such place, with 5 bars signal strength, then try again with the Note 2.
good luck

Are you sure the Note II supports the same frequencies that are used in your country?
I would suggest making sure that you have 2G/3G/LTE enabled, and not just 3G or just 2G etc.
If that's not the issue, then I would suspect your SIM is faulty, or there is a problem with the phone's antenna.

This indeed is the most recent update Rolled out by Samsung. It very well could be related to the flaw discovered. It is also likely meant to answer the signal issues some users have experienced with the last update. I have posted a little guide to Root this version.

Flashed this on my SRX 3.0 rom (DeKnoxed Android 4.3)for T Mobile and now in settings it says "No Baseband"
Flashing the back the MK4 baseband..
I'm thinking maybe I might need to upgrade my bootloader, I think Ill stick to the MK4 for a while longer..
Edit: Wait a minute. Is this for the T999L or just the T999?
