Question about there Hyperion batteries - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I am going to be buying a GSM Galaxy Nexus in the not so distant future, I was looking at Hyperion batteries and I came along this. In the titles it says "Google Galaxy Nexus" but in the description it says it will only work with the Verizon and Sprint version and not the international version. Am I correct in assuming that the Google version and international version are different? Does anyone know for sure? Thanks

the GSM version is different than the Verizon and Sprint models so they wouldnt work. the international is the same as the one sold in the play store.

The Verizon and Sprint are the same (rather really really close). The "Google version" is the international version and this battery will not work with it.
^damn typed this out and forgot about it haha

Ok, thanks for the replies. It is a little confusing since on the page it does say it works with the Google Galaxy Nexus but not the International version.

[Q] I9100 and T989 - How different are they?

So I just purchased the T-Mobile variant of the Samsung Galaxy S2. However there seems to be little to no cases available for it.
Does anyone know how physically different these versions are?
The case I'm looking at says it will fit the international and Canadian versions but not the Sprint version. (It doesn't say anything about the T-Mobile one).
The case is the Case Mate Galaxy S2 Pop! I'd post a link but can't just yet.
Any help/advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!

The case on the international version will not fit the T-Mobile version. Our phone is slightly larger, wider. Also the camera and led on our phone has an up and down design, the international and at&t version has a side by side design for the camera and led. You will have to get a T-Mobile specific case!

Dunno where you're looking but I have found almost all the cases that there were for the Sensation on ebay already.......
search eBay "t989 case"
Thanks guys!
I'm looking for a few specific brands I've used in the past.... specifically Case-Mate and Otterbox. However neither have a T-Mobile version yet that I can find.
size wise they are different the Tmo version is bigger / wider
some accessories wont fit

[Q] Advice for buying a new GSM Galaxy Nexus

I'm a Galaxy S user and I am currently thinking of buying a Galaxy Nexus (the international GSM model).
Is there anything I should know about the phone before I buy it? For example, what are "maguro", "takju" and "yakju"? Should I buy a specific model? Will there be a newer batch of models coming out soon with improvements? I remember one guy showing me a picture of his Galaxy S which had version 2 written in the settings somewhere (apparently it was Samsung's way of differentiating between when the phones were made). Is it like that with the Galaxy Nexus?
Sorry if the questions seem dumb. I'd appreciate the help.

1) maguro is the device name of the GSM nexus, toro is verizon CDMA and toroplus is sprint
yakju is the main official build of ICS for the GSM nexus. Takju is the same, except google wallet is baked in.
you can take any GSM phone and always flash takju or yakju and be just fine.
2) maybe, but i dont know
Thanks for the quick reply! It helped!
There won't be any Galaxy Nexus with improvements until the next Nexus device, no worries.
I just made the jump from the SGS1 to the Nexus. It is much snappier. I have the International GSM model and flashing roms is easy enough. As posted before, I don't think there is a new "batch" coming out, except in Oct/Nov when a new nexus will be announced or released. What I did was go to a verizon store and play with it to see if you like it. I thought it would be a big difference in the screen compared to my captivate but not too much. Still I have to get used to the size and weight of it.

Gsm Galaxy nexus

I was wondering if the GSM Galaxy nexus off of the google play store has the same dimensions as the international version ? I was getting ready to buy one and want a hard battery/case like the samsung power pack that i have on my vibrant. Anybody know ?
Thank you .
With regards to dimensions, the google version is i9250 and the international version is also i9250 so yes.

Galaxy Nexus bought in Korea same as US?

I'm in Korea for a year, and I am looking to buy a new phone. I'm looking at the Galaxy Nexus and I have a quick and simple question.
Is the Galaxy Nexus that I would buy in Korea the same phone I would get off the shelf in the US?
I have an HTC Rezound that I'm not a huge fan of, and I'm thinking about just activating it in the US when I go home for a month this winter and then using my upgrade when I get back the US next August.
thanks!
I would assume that Korea has some of their own models [edit: apparently not] however they would definitely have the standard international GSM models on sale. Similarly, in the US there are ones from Verizon and Sprint that are using totally different hardware and run on CDMA. The only difference between a GSM one bought from Korea to the one in the US would be the Android build version (I'm not sure about the one in Korean variant but there's yakju/takju and the other variants).
Yes. I live in Korea right now and here we only have the international GSM models only. However, if you're looking to only use it on a pure stock software, you probably won't get jellybean right away. Korean GNexs still haven't got OTAs of JB yet.
Its interesting because I brought my Verizon GNEX from the states and here in Korea, I do have access to 3g data services and its "roaming". I dont know which carrier its roaming off and I just turn on airplane mode anyways. I just went with the crappy used phone and picked a 3g unlimited plan from the Onestop on Yongsan (also stationed in Korea).
Well i'd say but it from google play store since its first to get the major updates, i had the korean version of Gnex and i had to format it and install US version of ICS so i can get the jellybean update OTA 1st before other countries.

International version in the US?

Sorry if this question has been posted before, I searched the forums but didn't find anything.
Ny fiance has been interested in getting the Galaxy Watch, and on Amazon the international version is currently only $240 instead of $300+ for the US version. We are in the US. Are there any functions that won't work for her since it is the international version? If there are things that don't work, are there was to fix it or work-arounds?
Thanks!
