Stock files for at&t galaxy s3 ICS - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Anyone got the factory restore files flammable thru ODIN for this phone? Just wanted them incase something goes wrong.
Also does anyone know a good Rom\kernel setup to use for overclocking or better battery?
And if I'm on stock Rom but changed the kernel can I just go straight to flashing TuchMe_S3X?

You're better off asking this in the Q & A section. This is a bad area to post a question.

Ever tried searching the forum? There's even a sticky on the development thread with info on stock roms and any more

I don't know about the Skyrocket but if you flash a galaxy S2 rom you're gonna brick your device. There's been a few members who posted this already.
It is the same device minues LTE so in theory it would work. I know they have flashed our roms with no brick only issues would be APN settings. I am not a dev so i could be wrong
Only the Telus matches enough.
So yes or no

No. You would need some kinda conversion tool or something like that
Oh ok thats alright i thought id ask ya now
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
You can. You will then need to edit it to fit the tmobile settings

It's not that bad.
Just need to flash a kernel, modem, and replace a gps.conf, and you should be fine and dandy.
The reason why I say a modem is because of the whole LTE thing, I wouldn't want it to screw anything up on your devices. I know for a fact we can flash your modem, our conversion script doesn't include a modem, so we can use your modem, don't know if it's vice-versa.
There are skyrocket roms in the dev section, safe to flash

Can u please give me the names of them and the instructions
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
They are the same phone except the radio they use. So obviously would need minor tweeking but im sure you could flash with no issue..
My question is why? I just looked at their dev section and they have all the same things we do..
Flash the skyrocket rom you want then flash the zip in this thread right after.

I had a Galaxy SII Epic touch then switched to ATT got the skyrocket. I had roms from the Epic touch on my card. I selected the wrong rom, one for the epic not the skyrocket and bricked my phone. Sent the phone to mobletechvideo and had it unbricked. Super fast turn around good service. I recommend it! http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/contact/

Noob and kernels

I want to understand these better.
What are they?
When looking at the different ones what should I look for?
Any added risk when using one as apossed to using roms.?
Can I go back to a stock kernel by restoring a backup ?

Thank you. I was surprised that I could not find any of this stuff on these forum. Always good to understand stuff. One more question what is a good kernel for stock 4.0.2?

Ics roms from skyrocket

So, just wanted to know if we were able to flash them as we did the gingerbread roms. If so, may you post directions please.

Hercules was here
I wouldn't flash any except for the ports we have

x2 as posted above.
Only flash what is specifically for our phone (T989)
Understood, just wanted to clarify that question before hundreds of threads or posts come up about bricked phones or skyrocket roms.
Thanks.

Rooting SGH-T989?

Is rooting the t-mobile samsung galaxy s2 SGH-T989 the same concept of rooting the sprint samgsung galaxy s2 sph-D710? Does the sim card affect rooting process or is it thr same concept? Download mode and odin.....
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Same concept(s). Processes and techniques.

I would read the T989 forums on how to root. Don't want you to cause a brick.

I have done both and really its pretty much the same. Do not use roms from one for the other though. Also idk how but they have radios from completely different phones. Like the note. You may want to ask in their forums if you run into problems though. The only thing I had a problem with was contacts and that was only on aosp roms.

Where is modem located in roms if not there as soon as u unzip files non aroma

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
most roms don't include a seperate modem; its up to you to choose the one you want on your phone.
Best to leave whatever is on there and working alone....
Well im trying to port miui v5 for n7100 but I need to find where modem can be to make progress
