Here is a bootanimation I made for ParanoidAndroid 1.9.2+ ,this is my first animation I've made and I hope you like it
How to install this: well just drag it to system/media/ AND SET PERMISSIONS, or copy it into data/local and the set the permissions, I dont know if it's necessary there but I recommend you to, it will stay there through any nightly updates....incase you do a fullwipe
ONCE YOU DOWNLOADED IT DONT FORGET TO RENAME IT TO bootanimation.zip (this is useless info for other users but its prizeless for someone too)
Credits: ParanoidAndroid team for their wonderful work and the basic ground for me to build uppon.
And to despotovski01 for his bootanimation factory for me to push the bootanimation to system and for previewing the bootanimation on the computer
If you really like it and want me to make more please consider a small donation:angel:

Do you get an error message when starting or is it just the normal bootanimation that shows up?
Did you have a bootanimation.zip at the system/media before you copied my animation?

I had the bootanimation.zip file there, I renamed it before copying your animation, and what I got is the android bootanimation, not even the rom's bootanimation, no error msgs, no crashes.

Have you tried to take the bootanimation that already where there (stock or custom) away and put it on you sd card and then try to reboot your device? So it's only mine in system/media folder. AND have you changed the permissions to -rw-r--r--?

Yes the permissions have to stay like that, what file browser do you use? If es file explorer, you enable root mode in settings, mount r/w, go to the bootanimation, long press it, scroll down to permission, press it, do so all have read and the one at the top also have write.
If solid explorer just find bootanimation long press it, select permissions, and set all as read and the one at the top also at write

Not bad mate. You should work out this even more so it would blend a bit better ! Keep it up!

so then when i paste into system/app it already shows as being installed > even tried to install again through root explorer > asks to replace and install > tried that and it fails
permissions when i copy/paste are already set to...(see screenshot) do the permissions need to change more than that?
should I install via normal application, then navigate to system/app and change permissions to something else?
tried changing permissions to the second screenshot and still getting the third screenshot (stopped unexpectedly)
what am i doing wrong?

Hey everyone,
After a damn load of work, succeeded in our build. Go through every details and enjoy your WFS over your palms !
**(BACK UP YOUR STOCK HtcClockWidget.apk)**
Installation Instructions :
For Odexed Roms:
1. Download the respective .apk provided below and rename it to HtcClockWidget.apk
2. Use ADB and push the .apk file to /system/app/
3. Don't exit ADB! Just go-to widget list, if you find the widget in the list then you can exit, or else push the .apk file again.
4. You'll, this time, get the widget in the list.
For Deodexed Roms:
1. Download the respective .apk provided below and follow the same procedures that have been mentioned above.
Flashable Zip***:
1. Copy the File HtcClockWidget.zip to your SDcard.
2. Reboot into recovery and select 'Install Zip from SDcard' and select the respective .zip file i.e HtcClockWidget.zip
3. Reboot phone.
*** Special thanks to efl2009 for creating flashable file, say thanks to him :good:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=1750558
Note:
1. As many of the people have mentioned, using any Root Explorers might disappoint you ! I highly recommend pushing using ADB, but no problem if anyone succeeds using Root Explorers.
2. Following experimental procedure can also be followed if in case you fail to succeed using the above methods.
Alternate Procedure :
1. Download the respective .apk for your ROM, depending upon whether its Odexed or Deodexed.
2. make a copy of your stock HtcClockWidget.apk and open it using Win Rar.
3. From the downloaded apk drag and drop the file/folder named 'res' and 'resources.arcs' into your stock apk. (Make sure you choose STORE for compression level)
4. Push back the updated apk to your /system/app/ directory using ADB.
Here is how it looks :

Welcome, here you'll find minimalistic and simple boot animations I made, from AOKP boot animations and some originals I'll make. I will continue to add more as I create them.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
*If you want to use one of these boot animations on a phone, I'll be happy to edit a version for it.*
*Something's not working right? Please leave feedback in this thread and I'll see to it.*
*If you like these boot animations please rate and thanks.*
*The boot animations are all high quality, the example images shown here are re-sized(low quality) images.*
*With each boot animation I have included 2 files, a "bootanimation.zip" file and a flashable zip file.*
Click to collapse
How to use the flashable zip file.
1. Using a custom recovery installed on your device, like TWRP.
2. Enter recovery mode and go to the "Install" menu. There, navigate to where the flashable zip file is located and flash it!
3. This will automatically put the file on "/system/media". Is fast and safe, once flashed, just reboot the device and enjoy the boot animation!
How to use the "bootanimation.zip" file.
1. Use the root browser/explorer of your preference, make sure that you gave it root permissions by allowing it to Read/Write root and system files.
2. Navigate to "/system/media", there you'll find a "bootanimation.zip" file(some ROMs like Carbon doesn't, it's okay).
3. If that file is there, you can rename it to "bootanimation.bak" or any other name you want, this will ensure it as a back-up, in case you want to use it again later.
4. Now copy the "bootanimation.zip" file you just downloaded to that same directory(/system/media).
5. With some root browsers/explorer you have to set the permissions for the file to "rw-rw-r".
Example using Solid Explorer
6. Once you copied the file and have set the permissions for it, you are all set, just reboot the device and enjoy the boot animation!

Sorry for the delay, had a lot of work this weekend, updated the OP with 2 more AOKP bootanimations, I think they're gonna be the last AOKP bootanimations for now. I'm gonna do a couple of my own for now, I'll upload them when I have the time.
Damn, those last two look great, I liked a lot the black and red one, looks sick.
Guys, I've been really busy, but I'm working on adding more boot animations. I though I could share some of the nav button icons I've colored, for you guys with a ROM that allows you to set custom icons.
@NekroWolfen amazing work my friend! Would love to use one in our IOKP, or better yet if you have time would you be able to make one? Would gladly pay you. Thanks man.

Glad you liked them, I'll make some after work(based on IOKP) and PM you the ideas, also if you have something or various ideas that you'd like for a boot animation feel free to PM me the details or pictures of you ideas. I'm doing my internship at the hospital at day but I'm always free at night.
*Update* 2 more boot animations, will add more Kit Kat "inspired" boot animations in the coming days.

Great stuff dude. Thanks for all your hard work on this stuff
Just flashed "AOKP Semi-Nekrotized"... I don't see much of it because of a very fast booting rom, but what I see is BEAUTIFUL
Thanks mate

Hey guys, I was just throwing this out here. If you want any custom boot animations you want done, feel free to post your requests. If you want a completely new boot animation just pm me details on what you are looking for. I'll try to get requests done as soon as possible as I also have to study for tests occasionally. Here's a link to my previous work for a phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1690735 . If you want, I will convert the sizes for you guys all you gotz to do is ask. Happy theming everyone
To install a boot animation. You don't have to be rooted and you must have a file explorer of some sort. For me Root Explorer is very helpful.
Rooted:
Then go to system>media>then rename the existing boot animation to something different. This is pretty much backing it up. An example of what to name is bootanimation.zip1. Then go to the boot animation you want then copy and paste it to the system/media folder. Then you reboot and relax.

Not Rooted:
Put files in /data/local. Make the file if you must. Do same thing except in previously mentioned file as you would in /system/media

Hi,
There is one I'm looking for. It is the loading animation when you open a google service page in a web browser, like Keep or the alarm for Google+. It shows a circle with google colors folding in half from different axis.
Thanks!

Could you PM me a link of the picture of it? I have never seen it before. I will try to do yours and PatimusXPrime's requests over the weekend.
I have posted the Biohazard Bootanimation. The Google bootanimation may not be possible since I cannot get a clear look of the whole animation. If someone screencaptures the animation as a video ( Link Hypercam ) , I would be glad to do the animation. Happy theming! :cyclops:

Ooh, I'm gunna add that to dev-host ( so users don't have to wait for the animation) then add it to the list. It's growing people! Happy Theming!
FYI one can also pull the boot animation.zip out of the GE file and replace it manually with a file explorer.

Normally, the bootanimation should repeat until the nexus is restarted. At least it is written in the desc.txt.
actually instead of the above one which ill delete can you make this into one http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdssxiolK51rfvjf9o1_500.gif

I do experience a lag too sometimes in the past. But it is now running smoothly since I format all of my data and install the newest version of my Rom (Ressurection Remix v 5.4.1). One thing to blame for the slowness I suppose is the amounts of apps which starts at startup. But I don't really know cause I'm not a dev. I'm just a pure noob.

Thank you Rommel! I'll try to find one that matches this bootanimation or maybe make one if there isn't IF I have a spare time in the future.
Update: Been searching on Google and can't found anything related to adding boot sound in CM 12 (I'm not using stock rom). Maybe you can point me to a specific tutorial?

in adding boot sound try this but u need and .mp3 sound that u want
1) rename the .mp3 that u want into Power_On.ogg and if u want to add power off sound u do similar with power on
2) copy it into system>media>audio>ui
3) give a right permission rw-r-r (or u may copy the other permission in the other .ogg)
4) reboot ur phone

You have to give the cm file manager root acces in the settings/General settings/ access mode.
Default cm setting is only internal and external memory.
See also the instructions from in the OP (2. Move it to your /system/media directory using Root Explorer/CM FIle Manager (make sure Root access is enabled))
it won't in stock rom since it is in .zip format ..whereas stock boot animation is in .qmg format
Where was this Bootanimation all along?!
I love it!
PS. Could you make the bootanimation longer, or change the loop in the end? It (bootanimation) finishes and loops awkwardly between 2 static looking images until my phone finishes boot... please that would be great
Awesome !!
