I been playing around and trying to remove bloatware. I use various methods including Titanum Backup and the Debloat by Eaglerazor. After removing TouchWiz, the system cant boot at all.
Then I restore from backup, then do a factory wipe. Boot properly but remove TouchWiz again and have the same problem, not able to reboot again.

It can't boot because you have no Launcher! Download Apex or Nova Launcher, set it to standard by clicking homebutton and than try to remove TouchWiz

you mean seclauncher or popularly known as touchwiz launcher? system doesn't boot or u see a black screen after boot?
I think it's because there is no more launcher in your phone
I have removed touch wiz always no problem

System doesnt boot. It just stuck at SAMSUNG.
So I assume TouchWiz is not something that you can easily remove. Its part of the phone and unless you find a replacement, then dont remove it
- Charles
Have you ever tried to start Windows without UI?
No Launcher, no system boot
I'm using Nova launcher and frozen tw launcher via tb no problem at all......

Just to be clear: I don't know what you did, but after getting my device 2 months ago, Touchwiz never ran on my system again after flashing first custom Sammy rom. Just Nova Launcher. So imho Touchwiz can be removed as simple with Titanium backup like any other app. No stuck on boot or other strange behaviour.
And yes, Touchwiz runs above the ICS UI , it's just a f***ing Launcher m8.
Haha I once did that. Removed touchwiz from an s1 without setting any launcher (hopefully i had zeam installed but not set as default) so what I did was this. I booted up the phone and when it got stock I call myself. Then answered and pressed home button and set zeam as default... You could try that. But if you didn't have any launcher prior to deleting touchwiz I don't know what can you do.
Just reinstall the rom
Or he frozen tw-framework?

So this gets a bit confusing. I guess the requirement to remove the TouchWiz is to install another Launcher. Do not remove TouchWiz Launcher unless you have another Launcher

try deleting the cache and data for the touchwiz in settings/application manager/ all apps
you will need to redo your widgets and icons on homescreens

Yeah I had the same issue guys, especially when flipping between apps or functions.
If you aren't committed to TouchWiz I'd recommend looking at another launcher, such as Nova. It's working like a charm on my Note II pre and post root.
Have you set the animations in developer options to off? If so, then that's probably the culprit. Set it back to 0.5x or 1x and reboot. My touchwiz used to crash too when I turned off the animations.

That's as bogus as not being able to delete a page while it's disabled as well. Why should we look into a new launcher when the one developed for the phone doesn't even function properly? I almost feel like a complete restore may do the trick.

I had the same problem, I don't know why Touchwiz crashes whiout animations, I had to set animations to 0.5x, it barely lags but haven´t crashes since then.
As of now my Touchwiz is not crashing after doing following changes:
0. I AM ON STOCK ROM.
1. MAKE SURE HEPTIC FEEDBACK IN ON.
2. DO NOT INSTALL/USE ANY OTHER FONTS.
try and let me know !!
TouchWiz was crashing on mine too. I realised that actually I don't like it anyway so I've switched to Nova which is much smoother. It also imports your layout from TouchWiz.

I apologize if this already exists, but I've searched with no luck. I'm using JOVY S3 DarthStalker V8 rom but not a fan of the 5x5 app drawer. Where can I find a mod that will allow me change the 5x5 to 4x5 app drawer? I found this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1691957 but it seems to be geared toward a more advanced user than I am. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I really like this rom and don't want to uninstall to go back to stock. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
You could always use a different launcher like apex or nova. Basically for the mod you linked above, all you have to do is just replace your current one with the modded one through root explorer.

I tried doing that through Rom Manager but the entire phone froze. I had to do a battery pull and re-install the ROM. I've been reluctant to try other launchers, but I'll give it a try. Thank for the imput
I use nova as my default launcher so I thought to kick TW launcher out of my phone..so is it safe to remove?

Of course.

Might be better to freeze it with tb just in case you ever run into problems. Ive had the odd app not play nice with nova
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
I don't recommend removing it. You never know when your default launcher is going to crash and you'll need a launcher to fall back to inorder to resolve the issue.

Yup, perfectly safe to remove it. As ever take a nandroid backup first just to be sure, but I delete it from most of my ROM installs, haven't used it in ages.
I keep it frozen in case something crashes when I update Nova...

TW Launcher is Samsung ...
Take Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher and this Launcher make very nice JOB or look here in XDA TW Launcher 5...
There's one in the galaxy nexus themes and apps section, you'll have to find it, but I've used it before and it works just fine. Or the second alternative is to use the search function and find it, that would have worked instead of creating a new post.
You can't have two launcher without root ... Just search in galaxy nexus themes and apps ull find it its by omarmc as I remember .....just search before post .

Yes when will you change the Launcher2.apk (is TW) then you need root.
Install the Nova Launcher and runs really well.
You can adjust and change as many gestures, icons, dock and more and it runs without stuttering or crash.
For me, the best launcher in Android systems.

NO! that launcher is a fake. It is the Galaxy S3 bad dimensioned launcher with changed page indicators to look as S4.
Try this out

This is well resized for nexus 4

This will work with 4.3 but is buggy... the rendering differences between TW and 4.3 frameworks causes the page transitions to be 'flicky' ... not at all fluid.

WTH do you want to pollute a nexus with touchwiz of all things? Makes no sense. As others say use quality like nova /paid version. It is amazing. People root Samsung to get rid of touchwiz. Buy a Samsung

I'm a new XDA user and new to rooting so please bear with me. I am simply looking for a TouchWiz launcher mod (I think mod) that allows me to use a 5x5 app format. I have the SGH-I317 with build: JZO54K.I317UCAMH3. Can anyone help me out?
You just need a different launcher...
Give Nova launcher a try from the play store..
No root required ...and it gives you the options to grid up to 6x6 I believe ...
Otherwise ...to get TW launchers with grid changes you would need root and a custom rom most likely ...g
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I haven't had the best experience with launchers from the play store. Had a go launcher before and it was just too much. I went with the root because I figured I could just mod the touch wiz or flash a better touch wiz Rom.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
Never mind. I gave up looking for a mod and downloaded the Nova Launcher. VERY easy to use, customizable the way I like and very smooth.
Now the only question I have about having multiple launchers is... How do I prevent them both from running at the same time? I already set the default that when I press the home button, it goes to the Nova Launcher. And then in Nova Launcher settings "swiped away" the touchwiz launcher. But is it still running in the background? Do I even still need it? If I don't, how do I remove it? And no worries, I have a backup from before I installed Nova.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
Once you swipe away the tw launcher you have set nova as default. Only the default launcher will run. I would not remove the old tw launcher as it can be a backup in case nova acts up. In other words, its good to have multiple launchers installed. Only one launcher is active at a time.
