yes it is unlocked as I cant use track id as when I unlocked my bootloader from sony site which cause losing DRM Keys...
Well, judging from the line "FAILED (remote: Unrecognized command, bork!)", you might not have the right drivers. Maybe try installing "Flashtool-drivers.exe" from the "drivers" folder in Flashtool's installed directory?

I think he means you have to turn your phone off, hold search key down while connecting usb cable instead of restarting the phone to fastboot by android menu or recovery menu.

kibaa, what r u doing? I had my phone unlocked by SETool method, and I'm constantly testing the roms available here in the forum. I use flashtool to flash .ftf images, like my backup from my manufacturer firmware. To flash boot images and .img files, I use fastboot trough the command "fastboot flash boot boot_file.img". The log layout you posted in here seems to be Flashtool's, isn't it? Have you tried to flash it using fastboot (via cmd terminal)?
Edit: forget it, sorry, I think that would be the same. I guess flashtool just grab fastboot output, but the process is the same... Sorry mate, no clues =(
yeah ive tried all sorts of things such as "fastboot flash boot boot_file.img" through the command line prompt to the same error, it to the point ive been able to boot into CWM with the program and even flashtools gives me Bootloader:Rootable when ever i flash a .ftf file or should i just try to convince him to do the unlocking via sonys site?
Hi guys i've had a go at putting on a custom ROM after I rooted and unlocked the bootloader on my Xperia Play GSM but something has gone tits up and now it's stuck on the boot screen and I don't know how to restore it or make it work.
I followed all the instructions on here and rooted/unloacked the bootloader fine, installed CWM and tried to install CM7. It installed and I rebooted my phone through CWM but it's now stuck on the 'Sony Ericsson' logo.
I've done rooting and unlocking before on a ZTE San Fransisco and a HTC Desire, it was super easy to do and ROM were a piece of cake to put on but with the Xperia Play it just seems like an absolute mess as i've been messing about for the last hour and a half trying to get my phone working again.
Help please!
did u flash cm7 kernel before flashing the rom?
I dumped the ROM onto my SD card and then tried flashing like that? Basically did it like I did with my old San Fran/HTC Desire.
i've not use cm7 but i think it needs its own kernel to be flash first..flash the kernel first then the rom.
Thanks but i'll need to go about un-bricking my device 1st as it's still stuck on the boot screen.
just flash cm7 kernel to your PLAY via fastboot and then reflash the rom. that should do the trick.
Will give that a go now, thanks for all your help!
Will report back if i've had any luck.
Not having any luck at all.
Used this kernel but it's still just stuck on the boot logo.

This kernel is intended for Timescape, not CM7.
Would you be able to tell me how to return it to stock or to fully sort out CM7 please? I've had a look in the 'Development' section here but can't find it amongst the mess of other ROM's.
I'll flash one or the other and hopefully get it working again and put it on eBay because this has been a right pain in the arse.
Anyone? Having no luck sorting this phone out, i'd like to get it back to stock and get rid because i've had enough.

Hello
I'm using flashtool and it tells me my device is rooted, but when I try to flash the lupus kernel, flashtool tells me my device should be rooted.
So here is what I did: - I was a bit noob at the start and a lot failed, tried flashing the kernel multiple times but did not have drivers. (I tried rooting my device multiple times)
- Some research and I figured I should unlock the bootloader. This worked fine.
- Whenever I open up flashtool it says to me my device is rooted, but when I try to flash the kernel the error occurs telling me that my device is unrooted.
Now I'm not sure my device is rooted as it should be or is there something else I can do?
Thanks in advance,
Pazy
EDIT:
this is my log I got now: I tried some other drivers for my device :

As you can see I tried the lupus kernel CM9-480 and CM9-720, both gave me another output! Is there a specific reason for?

Please help me guys I'm a total newbie,Thanks!
BTW I'm using Honami ROM Superlative edition I'm trying to install LUPUS V16
Is your device unlocked?
I mean, you NEED the bootloader to be unlock to flash a custom kernel. It's a different thing from root.
There is a tutorial in the sony website:
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
Or, there is an option (i guess in the flastool thread) for testing if you had (or not) the bootloader unlock
.
yes sir my bootloader is unlocked. Thanks for your reply
Try to use QuickIMG to flash kernel bro.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551073
type *#*#7378423#*#* in your phone
Service Info -> Configuration
is there
Bootloader unlocked: Yes
then your bootloader is open
Thanks!
thanks guys my bootloader is unlocked.. thanks for your help! but i noticed a problem my standby battery drains super fast in 7hr stand by I loose 45% of my battery I tried so many roms and the results are the same. I guess the phone is old.. anyway thanks your help guys
