BSOD.
Or Black Screen Of Death.
Are you stock or using a custom kernel?
Don't undervolt, if you are...
And up your lowest CPU slot if it's below stock.
Potentially change governor to one that isn't an automatic HotPlug.

Yaa I have the sane problem. If its an emergency I don't want to regret it.
Running liquidsmooth beta1 with trinity kernel governor on ondemand.

Sometime the beta roms have SoD (Sleep of Death) I thinks this is the reason why your phones can't wake up

I know it creates problems with CM9. Not sure if it also applies to other ICS builds or leaks.

Ya I was using setcpu on stock-rooted EL29. I also found out ICS has a feature that works like setcpu, so ya don't use it on ICS cause it will bugout and crash.
Helpful tip --
If you are looking for another app that save up little more battery life you could check out "JuiceDefender"

What is the best govenor to set if you're trying to save the most battery life?
I'm confused between the conservative and ondemand. What are their differences?

Use conservative. It scales up the CPU slower, so you'll end up saving more battery in the long run. I've only noticed very minimal lag between the two.
Anyone else have good advice for it?

You can use an app, like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...9yZy53aW50ZXJzLmFuZHJvaWQuZ25mYXN0Y2hhcmdlIl0.
Try use app like setcpu or cpu master and set your profile charging min 245 max 368 gov powersave or ondemand..don't use your phone when charging cause phone lag and waiting 100%.

Have you tried reducing the animation in the developer option? Overclocking is not recommended if you only want to reduce lock screen lag. Try changing the animation to ×0.5 that should help

Well I basically wanted to up the performance of my note and see the results of overclocking it. Thanks for the tip though!

Try cm 10.1 and redpill kernel if u want to test how beast device is with oc my device managed to score +5200 points in 3dmark with 1,8 ghz cpu/800mhz gpu, it just needs huge undervolt to get temperature stay in control.

Best tip?
Don't.
on a quad core @1.6 GHz I suggest to underclock.
Wanted to actually keep the touchwiz based rom (omega) so I can still use the spen features, do you happen to know any other ROMS that are touchwiz based & have settings to overclocking?

Flash persus kernel.

Your Best option for over clocking try this kernel
2 GHZ....
http://www.note2forum.com/forum/int...7-thor-thor-kernel-n7100-n7105-shv-e250s.html
But overclocking alone won't get your phone any faster...
try freezing unnecessary apps etc.,
When ever I run antutu benchmark test it gives me a low cpu integet score 3800 and when I compare it to their note 2 their cpu integer in 4900. How is that? Im on omega rom and persus kernel.

Well it's better to choose performance governor while running benchmarks.
