hey i was wondering if anyone here has come across a app that will allow me to browse the files on my phone and drag and drop files from my computer on to my phone with out having to connect a usb to the computer, pretty much to sync wirelessly but to whatever specific folder i want on my phone . was playing around with Browsix which from what iv read should have that feature but i either havent been able to find out how it works or maybe it dosent have it at all.
Try the built in Samsung Kies Wireless app on your phone. It works quite well over the local wifi network.

Kies air. It's in your app drawer. I believe that's what you're looking for. Let's you navigate through everything on your phone wirelessly.

yea i just set it up and essentially thats what im looking for. but for example i have a folder with icons i wanna drop onto my phone. i have a folder for icons but i cant just drag that folder on to my phone through the kies browser and expect it to show up on my phone? when i click upload it only gives me the option to upload individual files not a whole folder. unless im not clicking the right option.
Try airdroid its a very nice app.

spot on man. i like how it gives you a desktop like window to play with. even lets you create folders on your phone and just import the files over. very very nice.
No problem bro, I love that app.

I just installed AirDroid, based on the recommendations, and partly because it uses port 8888 instead of 2121 that I'm using for another app.
One problem I'm seeing is that it doesn't load my Contacts. I get a yellow triangle and the message, "Failed with network error." This is on a Sprint E4GT running Calkulin's 2.7 if that matters.
I have used myphone explorer! It works great. I believe you can copy n sync files and folders from your pc to your phone. you can send sms through your phone from your pc keyboard. I was really impressed with it and it's almost a 5 star free program at the market.

a friend of mine installed keep safe in mobile and secured some photos with it...but now he forgot the passsword and is not able to get back those photos...is there any method to recover them..pls help
How much is your friends ransom/blackmail?
Sent from my GT-N7100
its not ransom or blackmail....its a serious issue he has some family photos which he use to keep safe because his mobile was used by many peoples.
It probably just hides them somewhere in the internal memory, download es file explorer, enable show hidden files/folders in the settings, then look through the folders beginning with a "."
I'll download and try keep safe (if it's free) soon to test this myself.
Edit: confirmed, they're in ".keepsafe" the and they have ".hid2" added as a file extension. Just move them out of there and delete the ".hid2" from the name and it should be fine.

Highly recommend your friend use Dropbox or equivalent for this. This is one of the few things cloud excels in. Automatic upload of pictures.

I am glad your "friend" got his "family" pics back
I use rapidshare for mine, its very secure
Hi,
I am unable to attach any files to the mail and other social networking via browser. Whenever I am trying to attach any files, page getting refreshed automatically and a small pop up message displays and goes off immediately with the error message "Unable to complete previous operation due to low memory" in default chrome browser. When I gave this mobile for service in Samsung service centre, they told flash memory is corrupted. Is this right? please help.
I get this too. I think I bought a cheap SD card from what people on here are saying, so I bought a class 10 Samsung one for 50bucks on eBay.

But I do not have SD card in my mobile. I am using default 16 GB phone memory only.

I have the same problem. Is it possible that such a powerful phone can have insufficient memory for uploading a 100kb photo? I mean really.
Btw no card in my phone either.

Try es file manager. When it asks to upload select it and choose file then use path way. Works on some sites.

Thanks! I was having this issue with the G+ mobile site in chrome on my GNex running CM10.1. (My company's Google Apps G+ isn't enabled through the app)
I am having this same issue on my Samsung Galaxy s3 . Has anyone found a solution for it? I don't necessarily want to download an app to fix it. So frustrating!
Opera presto solves it too
Most webkit browsers & file manager combos have this. Not sure if it's root opening too many options / paths. Opera 12.1.9 presto for Lollipop works tho..
So, I'm curious, what's everyone's perfected photo vault?
Keep safe is from what I know the most popular and most downloaded, but it's been kinda buggy lately and not very fast..
Then photo locker I'm testing right now and it's a little better honestly but only 500k downloads as compared to keep safes 5 million .
Anyone have any suggested ones?
I tend to have a lot of private stuff that's my eyes and my gfs eyes only or else I would end up single lol. And for obvious reasons I wouldn't want someone snooping through my phone and to find pictures of my gf that are meant for a boyfriend or husband ONLY lol.
Send em my way.....I'll look over them, I mean after them

I don't believe that's even encrypted when you hide pictures or videos unless you specifically do

Just an idea here, but take the photos and videos and stuff you want hidden, and then put them into a .zip so they don't show up in your gallery. This way the only way to access them is to use a file explorer capable of opening .zips. (I strongly suggest ES.File Explorer.)
You could move the zip anywhere and the pictures won't show up

But then anyone could access that and it's not as easy to access and view. Not nearly as much as other stuff.
Also, does hide it Pro encrypt the images when you hide them?

If you hid it tucked away in like your app data folder (Android) or like in alarms folder no one would look there. Just an idea.

I use vaulty, IDK if it encrypts them but I think it works great.

What about those times you might wanna take a little peek at those photos?
Heh, but my girlfriend and I use Vaulty and it seems to work well enough. Pretty sure it encrypts, although I will say that she and I have both experienced losing at least one photo. Just disappeared.

Es. File explorer has a zip explorer that you can view what is in the zip without unzipping it.

You can generally tell if it encrypts or not due to speed. When you place a few pictures into the vault, does it like instantly get them all in, or does it take a sec. The apps that take a sec are generally encrypting them.
Also, I don't like hide it pro =/ you can't double tap to zoom
I use both Keepsafe and Vaulty.
I use these 2 because they store both videos and pics. I have used some other apps and hidden documents as well.
Keep safe is my preferred and go-to. But I like Vaulty because I can make multiple vaults with separate pass-codes for each.
And lets be honest. Encrypted or not if you haven't completely wiped your SD card if I find your phone I can see just about every pic you ever had on there in no time.So if you lose your phone just assume it is all fair game. And I'm not expert at all.

I tried Gallery Lock Pro and it deleted every image it was protecting. Gone without any input from me.
Emailed dev for refund. His reply was for me to remove my negative review and give it 5 stars first.
I suggested he think about that fact being shared with anyone and everyone. Got my refund as next reply.
Kept emails just in case. I don't trust the app and sure as hell won't buy anything from a dev that does that.
So Im needing a little help. I just got the note 2 and want to get all my pics and vids over to my note. I know there isnt an sd card for the nexus. But I plug my phone into my laptop and click import pictures and videos and it goes up to about 1073 pics and vids and then just stops. Nothing else works. Ive also tried to just look for the file where all my pics are at using ES File or astro file. And I cant seem to locate where they are at. Can someone point me in the right direction please. I would appreciate it. Thanks

I would recommend using "AirDroid" app. It is convenient to select pictures/videos and download them to your PC and then transfer it to your Note2. Alternatively if you have ADB installed that's probably the fastest way. Simply use the commands *adb pull /sdcard/DCIM*
You're complicating things too much. Browse to your phones media folders after you connect to your desktop and then just drag the drag to where ever you need them saved on your PC. Then, do that in reverse for your Note.
Don't import anything. That's for people who don't know how to use a computer. Always drag and drop.
