[Q] Does anybody have these apk's

Hi , i deleted a few apps when i rooted my phone but i have backups of all apart from 3 files .
Iv looked on the specific thread for all the original apk's that come already installed on the phone but these dont seem to be on there
any help will be much appriciated
fb setup(fbsetupwizard.apk)
fb calendar sync(fbcalendarsync.apk)
sony ericsson fb(semcfacebookservice.apk) i think thats what the apk is called
fb notification publisher(fbnotificationpublisher.apk)

Look in the /system/app folder , what the permissions look like then change to the same permissions. Reboot.

First off , no one mentioned .62 , secondly it does work how I said because I've done it and many have as well. ;-)

you should be fine...just make a backup first

but dont, they are not ported. those are original apk's
atleast when I pushed them I kept getting FC's. Even had trouble reverting back and had to re-flash my rom

After copy, you need to change change permissions to
Owner: Read, Write, Execute
Group: Read, Write
Others: Read
I used Root Explorer to do so

Thank you so much for the work done here, it does works, after closing a couple of FC and pushing does 2 files to the system, it looks great, thanks again.

after you changed the permissions, did you reset?
i copied those 2 files, changed permissions, restarted, and still got FC's. i just copied back the original apks and now everything works.
are there any other steps you took to make it work?

Nope, I didn't reset and it worked, this is what I did, using ES File Explorer with Root enabled, I moved to another folder these 2 files Phone.apk & Contacts.apk, as soon as I did that I started getting hit with FCs but little by little and after like 15 FC I was able to move into /system/apps the new Phone & Contacts apks, as soon as I moved them there the FCs stopped, also dont forget to set the permissions

Unable to install
Sorry, but I may be missing something but when I try to install on my GSIII it says the install failed. Am I missing something? I am running ICS 4.0.4 as Ariel 2.06 ROM. Thanks.
EDIT - NEVERMIND - I figured it out - just copy APK to the /system/app directory without actually performing the install. Thanks!

This didn't work for Nova
Does anyone knows about this type of widget for Nova Launcher?

I am using Nova and I have this working. What I had to do was install, reboot, add widget, reboot again and upon start-up the second time it was working. I did initially have Nova fc on me when I tried to add the widget, but I got it working.

Yes. You need Root to touch anything in /system/.

tried to install - failed,
rebooted & NO Widget..
m i missing any step? wait a minute.. does "push it" mean simply copy & paste or is this some special term?

[Q] Please help with camera issues on Beanstalk 4.4 ROM

I upgraded to Beanstalk 4.4 which has been my DD. However, when I switch between the front and back camera my phone reboots. I saw a similar issue on the forum about it and the person said change the camera from 4.4 to 4.3 but I have no idea how to do this.

This has been an issue on 4.4 roms, what you have to do is:
Go to your file explorer (make sure you set root privilage to see sub-system folders)
go to this folder (sys>app)
Delete the camera2apk and gallery2.apk
flash this camera apk from CM 10.2
Once you do this camera would work.
Look for the file in this thread Galley apk

Yep, its the old CM 10.2 camera apk. I'm currently on Quantum RC4 (the best 4.4 release right now) and used this apk on RC3 rom that used to have the issue with the camera and it work flawlessly for me.

I downloaded the .apk and deleted the camera and gallery apk but I am not able to flash the new apk.
I can see it on root explorer but not when I boot into recovery.

Just push the new apk to the file sys>app, hit it and install it like a regular app downloaded from playstore. This is not a file to be flashed via recovery, thats why you can't see it.

OK I'm back.....installed new beanstalk 4.4015 which has same camera issue... Deleted camera and gallery,installed cm camera but now when I open the camera it says can't connect to camera and there isn't any files in the system/app folder for camera and gallery

Tried also like this, with ES Explorer but when I copy it into /system/app and restart the apps are not recognized.
Also if I try to install them, I get an error.

Thanks, I get the same as with the previous one.
I was on PA and there I got the errors.
Now I´m in 4.4.2 for a while so I have the stock one, but when I go back to a custom rom I´ll retry.
