[Q] Enabling preload does take to much space? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I think it's clear what I'd like to know. As far as I know the pre loading feature on youtube does take some space on your phone, right?
Cheers

Titanium backup account suspended

Hi. I've been getting the insufficient storage' crap when trying to backup updated apps and have tried dalvik wipe, un install and reinstall of both app and pro key ect but problem persists. If I try to view the wiki or change log page I get 'account suspended' message. Sucks in short.
Anyone else having or had this problem? Any solutions?
Thanks.

As far as the insufficient storage, that sounds like you have your phone's memory all but filled up. Check in settings. Doubt wiping dalvik will really clear up that much room. If it is space, delete some Movies, music, and or pictures.
Edit: I just checked before and after dalvik wipe and the free space on the phone is the same. Which makes sense, since the dalvik cache will rebuild upon first boot.
Still have 8.5gig space. Strange as was running 4.04 after flashing the zip over 4.02 n had no problem. Flashed factory image of 4.04 today n now its a problem? Either way the "account suspended" thing really doesn't make sense

Delete your old nandroid and titanium backups or move them to your computer. Then curse whoever was in charge of how much storage space the GSM model received.

With around 90 gig of music on Google music, instant upload and the last four or so years worth of pics on Google photo/picasa, a good quarter of my library on Google books and a film or two for "just in case" viewing on my phone memory along with 62 apps including games like gta3 and shadowgun I still have over 8gig free... yes more space is better than less but in this case it hardly matters anyway, its sorted now so thanks so much for all the constructive assistance, maybe I can repay the favor one day

Memory Issues

I have 13.33GB of total space on my GNEX. I barely have anything on my sd card but since unlocking, rooting, etc... I have about half of the amount available than I should and I cannot figure out why. The gray shaded area shows I should have a lot more than what's available, any help on how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps try and see what https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.diskusage <-- that says.

It's probably nandroids. They can be big and they won't show up on that screen. Use a file explorer to check. If that's the issue, I would delete all but 1 or 2.

Help storage issue

Wondering what causes this?

Wow, that is big pile of porn in one device.
You are using some custom rom?

Haha, yup my eye already turn "blue"!! I'm using WanamLite XXDMC3 (V 1.3) but was'nt sure that it was b4 or after I used this rom. I would comment that this is a stable rom n the battery life have improved greatly. Would be great if I had this kind of storage space on my note two!

A few items to note, 1. go to camera/video app settings and change it to save to SDCard. 2. I have some HD movies (4 of them?) that are well over 6GB each. I normally have them on my external 2TB drive at home, but move a few to watch when traveling.
Lastly, when I got into the mobile devices many moon's ago, it was 1.X MP camera and pictures were @ 55K. This 8MP HD shooter takes pictures that are several megs! If you don't care about clarity that much, turn it down? JMO.
Are you sure this is a false storage estimated?
If so, are you sure have tried doing a full clean wipe?

I have the stock app. Open the app and there is a setting icon (looks like a spark plug guage?) in the upper left. tap that and scroll down. The factory setting for MP is 6, I changed it to 8. Scroll all the way down, storage location is next to last option, change it to card IF you have one. If not, you cannot change it. If so, single shots and video will go to card. Burst shots still go to phone.
Good Luck.
Thanks! Found out the problem, there's no external sd cause send in for replacement.
